I didn't have an issue with the property and just had some advise for improvement until I saw what I was charged for parking/Valet. Rented car for 5 days for $199 but Parking was $260. How is that possible? They did not mention it anywhere. There is overnight public parking about 100 yards down the street for $15 a night. Only used the car twice as we walked everywhere. Hotel location was great and walking distance to all places to see. The only thing that needed improvement was the pillows. Way too hard and caused neck and shoulder pain from the first night. There were small things but not a big issue, example, TV wouldn't fully turn off and in the middle of the night it would come on with all white screen for few seconds and then turn off. First night felt like we were being visited by UFO. Second thing was that no matter what, I couldn't bring the AC/HVAC above 75. My comfortable temperature is 77.

Clean and quite room and. But breakfast service was very poor. Waited over 30 minutes to be seated/take order and they were out of items on the menu. Would have given a higher rating overall had it not been for the breakfast experience.

They have a gym in the basement so if you wanna work out, you can work out. It’s convenient valet parking so you don’t have to worry about parking area to go sightseeing.

I liked that this was walkable distance to the circle. There was a few nice cafes near by. I just wish my room had a dresser or a closet so I could properly lay out my clothes and store my unmentionables. Storage was lacking. The bathroom sink cubbies were dusty enough to see it accumulate with a finger swipe. I appreciate the safey of having to tap your card at the entrance during late hours. The 24 hour gym is very nice compared to other hotel gyms, having to forcefully push the door aside.

Really, really disappointed by this stay. A beautiful property in arguably the best area of DC was diminished by apathetic front desk trainees and trash/stains (contact lenses, stains on the side of the toilet) left by the previous guest. When we made a request to have the room cleaned the next day, the same trainee asked when we checked in, only for him to say it wasn’t policy and he’d do “his best.” The room was never cleaned nor were our concerns addressed. I’ve worked in customer service for more than 10 years and never make public reviews but this was so off base for how much we spent, I couldn’t keep this to myself. I hope this is a rare experience.

This property would have been nice to stay but we had such a bad experience with marijuana and cigarette smell on both of our floors - 2nd floor and 9th floor. Especially, 9th floor there was a strong cigarette smell in the hall and overnight the smell came into our room. We were coughing.

Bed linens were ripped and frayed. Old towels. HVAC was off with extremely hot temps at hallways and cold at room. Hard to balance it out. On top of this, we did not have hot water throughout our stay despite informing the staff multiple times. This is a pretty basic offering for a hotel and it was not met. Also I bought two coffee in the morning and poured the milk they offered. It was not changed from the day before. It was incredibly disgusting and lingered in our mouths for a couple of hours. They could not refund it since system was down. Poor value for what we paid.

We had a nice stay at this property. We were here for three nights. We were on the second floor, but would recommend asking for a higher floor due to noise outside. Our room was right above the front door so there were always people right outside the window, and on Saturday night there were rowdy people screaming early in the morning which kept us up. The elevators were dirty and worn and their carpeting was worn. We used the stairs since it was only one flight. The room looks like it was recently upgraded, and the furnishings are great. We loved the complimentary water. The king room is compact and there are no drawers, so in our opinion it would be better for a solo traveler. All of the people at the front desk were lovely! The hot apple cider in the lobby was a very nice touch. It’s within 10 mins walking distance to two different metro stations on the red line. Overall, we would stay here again if we wanted to be in the Dupont Circle area.

I liked that this was walkable distance to the circle. There was a few nice cafes near by. I just wish my room had a dresser or a closet so I could properly lay out my clothes and store my unmentionables. Storage was lacking. The staff are incredibly nice, friendly and helpful. The room was very functional, clean and in good condition. The location cannot be beat if you need to be in that part of DC. And it’s really easy to get to the metro redline. Plenty of restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance as well.

Check in wasn’t the greatest. No information about the property and amenities. Housekeeping knocked on the door 2 hrs before check out. Thought that was rude and disrespectful. Won’t stay here again based on the customer service.

The hotel has valet parking but there is also a general parking VERY CLOSE to the hotel which also the hotel can give you pass for. On day 1, we asked about the general and the front desk upfront lied to us, telling us the general is very far. She also refused to give us the address. Valet did the exact same thing. The next day, we asked the next person from the front desk who gave us a pass, the address and was professional. Seems like the front desk was lobbying with the valet. The rooms don’t look like the photos on Expedia. They are very small and bare. Generally, poor experience.

TV and telephone in room did not work. Desk said no maintenance workers available. Had to pack up and switch rooms. Front desk not apologetic or overly concerned. Asked to change for a $20 bill to tip for luggage storage. Was told they can't make change. Therefore, NO TIP!

Jillian was amazing helping out our party of 4 after our flight was cancelled at 11pm at night. Cannot say enough about how helpful she was including helping us have a taxi ready to get us back to the airport in the early morning. 10/10

If you love rats and terrible beds, this is the place for you! Upon our arrival at around 9:30 PM, we were greeted by an army of 5-8 rats running to and fro in the landscaping of the properties. These must be the "welcome crew" specially bred for the purpose of making guests feel at home, since they were about a foot long (without their tails) and extremely plump and fast! They were running all around the garden beds, and going into the massive holes they had burrowed in the front. One was so welcoming, that as we were about to step into the sliding glass doors, it ran right in front of us, almost touching our feet! Amazing rodent service. The lobby looks fine (no rats made it through the sliding doors when we walked in -- a true miracle given that they were right there!) and the property appears lovely but after a long day, when I got into bed I found a giant indentation in the bed -- clearly it had been slept in many, many times before because it was "loved". I travel quite a bit and in many countries but I've never encountered a bed that was quite that warped! A real accomplishment for Marriott. And lest you think that the rats were a fluke when we got in, I walked my dog at around 5:30 in the morning and the rats were still running all around and bobbing and weaving around their holes. They were fast! And vile! And this property isn't anywhere you should stay. Ever. Seriously. It looks nice but unless you are ok with rats, run like the wind. VILE.

This hotel was very clean and the beds were extremely comfortable. And it was located within walking distance to the Whitehouse and other historical sites. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The food at the Bistro was good but it was very expensive.

This hotel is in a great, safe location. The front desk staff is knowñegebañe and friendly. Parking is separate from hotel costs but safe and the staff is very diligent. One notable drawback is the bistro. It was understaffed and the food was overpriced. Do not eat there. Waste of time and money.

Hotel staff was terrific and everything was clean and tidy. Some glitches: -- Housekeeping is apparently intermittent so I was without room coffee refills my second morning. --,Cafe was pleasant and Tanya was great but menu for food and wine was very very limited. --NO INFO in the room about hours of the cafe, checkout time, breakfast time, etc. You were expected to get everything from the TV menu. A notice of how to do that would have been helpful.

Decent hotel in a good location. Be aware of no free breakfast or coffee in the morning (cup of coffee was $4.50 tax). Not a bad hotel just better options in the area (we tried somewhere new due to location but wouldn’t stay there again). Probably a better option for people without families due to small rooms and no breakfast options for kids.
