Stayed 5 nights

This is NOT a 5 star hotel. We really looked forward to staying at The Lokha, but unfortunately it ended up being the biggest dissapoinent on our trip to Bali. We were speechless when we arrived, and not in a good way. On our first day we didn't meet any other guests, which was surprising since it is supposed to be a 5 star hotel, so you would expect other guests. The villa looks fine on the surface, but when you look at it closer everything is old and like it has not been maintained for quite some time. Also our door to the villa had to be fixed twice during our stay because it wouldn't lock and the entire door frame was loose. The breakfast was not impressive. We also ordered in room dining and our food arrived way to quick to have been prepared from scratch, and it was honestly the worst food we tried in Bali. When we booked this hotel, we thought that it was fairly easy to get to Ubud city, but you have to take a taxi or go with the shuttle that the hotel offers, which only goes every 2 hours (last one at 20:30) and it is a 20-25 min. drive. Otherwise there is not much to do or see in the hotel area, it is a very quiet area. The pool in our villa was really cold and the filter was broken, and the big pool area was empty everytime we passed it, we never saw anyone use it. The staff was really kind and helpful, it's nor their fault that the hotel is in such a bad shape. We ended up leaving two days earlier than we had planned, because this place just wasn't worth it.
