Whenever in Melaka i try to stay here in this beautifully decorated hotel. Parking was full on one of our days and the hotel paid for our parking in near by lot. Nice breakfast with good variety. All staff are friendly and service oriented. Love this hotel and highly recommend it.

Nice hotel & great facade. Hotel's 1st floor decor was great. Staff & service level was great. Breakfast service & menu was good. However, lack of attention to detail. Floors were not well connected, there were many steps to navigate to get to our room. Room toilet was left running & unable to flush. A/C remote was difficult to use, there is no off button. Corridors were hot as these were open; worst when corridors windows were closed in the evening. Acoustics was bad with doors heard being closed & when people were walking through the corridors. Housekeeping had their radios on loud which worsen the noise level. We have breakfast in a side room; found the chairs & tables not clean; lots of dust. Overall a great hotel which is affected by attention to detail.

This charming hotel in the heart of Chinatown launches you back in history with its period furniture and ambience. Its location is close to the Jonker Street Night Market on the weekends and is within walking distance of many of the major tourist attractions and areas. If you arrive on the weekend, you may need to take a taxi with a driver who knows how to avoid the road closures; Grab would not accept rides. The breakfast buffet is ample with a mix of Asian and Western options. We opted to use the spa, which was a relaxing and pleasurable experience. The facilities are well kept, combining modern and historic. They could improve their commitment to environmental sustainability, such as offering water dispensers and refillable toiletry dispensers instead of using plastic bottles. The hotel did receive a bus load of mainland Chinese tourists, who were quite loud in the hallways and breakfast area. The hotel is a converted "shop house" (actually a mansion) filled with period furniture and artifacts. I had expected a "simple" breakfast but the choice was good. Room a bit spartan and there is no lift except to the most expensive rooms. So if you are not good on stairs or have heavy luggage, ask for a ground floor room.

It's a wow effect once you enter the front door. Be aware that you need to climb stairs despite an avail lift, because there are many split levels here and there. (also including climbing in and out of bath tubs)

The hotel is in a beautiful old building with old-world charm and a garden. It could be a really good hotel. However, it needs renovation work and a good cleaning. Our room was very small; there was no place for clothes except for couple of hangers; the bathroom lacked shelves; the air-con had a suffocating smell of dirt and humidity. On the positive side, the bed linen and the towels were very clean and the bed was comfortable. It is pity that for such a beautiful place is not taken a good care.

Everything a bit old, but this was ok. The staff was super friendly, the breakfast was good. Sadly, even though the room has been cleaned, a lot of long black hair were on the floor. During the night, you are sorrounded by the a/c from the other room(s). The walls are very, very, thin. So you hear every word your neighbour says.

I am sorry to give this rating, but in my opinion the hotel does not meet a 3-star standard overall. Please don’t get me wrong—the hotel itself is charming, and I appreciate the antique furniture and decorations that come with an older building. However, the cleanliness was below expectation. The bathroom items appeared worn and not well maintained, there was thick dust on the light fixtures, and the slippery mat was yellowed and unhygienic. I sincerely hope the management will consider upgrading the facilities, especially by replacing old bathroom mats and carrying out a more thorough cleaning, to better match the hotel’s potential.

Very beautiful lobby, feel so relaxed upon entering. Lovely courtyard too. Service is good and staff are very accommodating towards requests. Value for money. Rooms are rather dated, not the cleanest but ok acceptable. Basic amenities provided. Buffet breakfast is very basic but sufficient and menu of hot items changed on the 2 nights we stayed. Very convenient location - near to good dining options and Jonker Street. Walkable to St Paul Hill and A Famosa.

I think the place is amazing. My only feedback is the noise between the room. As I am able to hear conversation and private sounds from the room next to mind. I think that can be improved. And I think it’s important that customers privacy is respected and taken to consideration. Other than that, I love everything about the hotel. And will definitely return as a customer. Thanks

Outside does not even come close to indicating the beauty, well preserved, beautifull antique collection inside. The courtyards and old well maintained architecture is very unique. Friendly staff, great Asian and Western breakfast buffet. Most comfortable bed and big room.

Great location in Jonker Street area. It’s a good experience living in a Chinese shophouse with many antiques. We have stayed here twice, once 10 over years ago. It has kept its old charm. Standards varies in sizes, it’s small but you get two comfortable beds and a clean toilets. Windows are locked.

Whenever in Melaka i try to stay here in this beautifully decorated hotel. Parking was full on one of our days and the hotel paid for our parking in near by lot. Nice breakfast with good variety. All staff are friendly and service oriented. Love this hotel and highly recommend it.

Nice, clean room with a cosy ambience. Staff were friendly and welcoming! Beautiful Peranakan-style hotel within walking distance to the buzzing Jonker Street. Although the aircon in my room is “roaring” at times, it doesn’t bother me at all and I slept through the night.

Overall was okey the stay with puri hotel. But, one of the room (twin room) i booked is not well maintained. First, the room air conditioning was poor. Changed to another room but the room shower was problematic. the water was too small to bath. Fortunately hotel side manage to rectify it.

Great location. Very efficient, polite staff. Interesting and comfortable lounge/foyer area. Clean and comfort rooms with everything you need. (The laundry service was wonderful). The only thing to note is that the ground floor room we had looked out onto a walkway and so we didn’t open our shutters for privacy reasons. I’d stay here again and would recommend this hotel but ask for an upstairs room.

Very beautiful lobby, feel so relaxed upon entering. Lovely courtyard too. Service is good and staff are very accommodating towards requests. Value for money. Rooms are rather dated, not the cleanest but ok acceptable. Basic amenities provided. Buffet breakfast is very basic but sufficient and menu of hot items changed on the 2 nights we stayed. Very convenient location - near to good dining options and Jonker Street. Walkable to St Paul Hill and A Famosa.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful. I wasn't going to book it as I don't stay in 3 star hotels but glad I did - as the hotel is fantastic. The level of customer service was noticeably excellent. Easily a higher 4 star hotel. There's a lot of history about this hotel and it's owner. I recommend taking the time to research it. 100% recommended to stay here during your trip to Melaka. Thank you to all the brilliant hard working staff in the hotel.

Great location in Jonker Street area. It’s a good experience living in a Chinese shophouse with many antiques. We have stayed here twice, once 10 over years ago. It has kept its old charm. Standards varies in sizes, it’s small but you get two comfortable beds and a clean toilets. Windows are locked.

This has been our go-to hotel for Malacca. We like the location near Jonkers and the room quality has been reasonably consistent over the years and pricing is ok. Breakfast quality is basic. The coffee was somewhat weak. There is an egg station and some western and asian dishes.

Puri Melaka is in a beautiful heritage building with many lovely places to sit and admire the antiques, plants and water feature as well as the building itself. Our room was quite comfortable with enough lighting, storage space, and lovely linens on the beds. Plenty of hot water and strong air conditioning added to the comfort. Breakfast came with our room and was good. The hotel is is an excellent location to sights, dining and shopping in the heritage section of Melaka.

Location of the hotel is fantastic. Closer to Jonker walk and lots of food and cafe options nearby. Do note that the external window panels needs to be closed when it rains else the rain will seep into the room. We had to clean up after one rainy night.

The property is historic and in a great location near Jonker Street. While the lobby and outdoor areas look well maintained, the room could use a little TLC. It was clean enough but just dated. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls, floor tiles were tripping hazards, and the shower continuously leaked, wasting water. On a positive, the spa is a must book as it is truly relaxing. Thank you Angie for ensuring my treatments were booked as requested.
