Sunscape Coco Punta Cana - All Inclusive

I did a lot of research before booking and this resort exceeded my expectations! We stayed 7 days in late April and were upgraded to the exclusive Sun Club for free through Expedia—this really made the trip. Sun Club perks included a child-free exclusive pool and beach area, a private lounge with snacks, room service, and an exclusive buffet with no wait times. It was quiet, relaxing, and perfect for couples. Service was excellent, staff were friendly, and housekeeping was great. Wi-Fi worked well, and the resort app (used for reservations and room service) was surprisingly convenient. The mini bar was a nice touch. Food was delicious with lots of variety. We especially loved Chopsticks for hibachi—no extra charge and unlimited reservations! Drinks were also great and widely available. We didn’t leave the resort, but it’s located along a strip of other resorts and the surrounding area didn’t feel very safe, so caution is advised. Minor downsides: the beach had a lot of sea moss (though they tried to clean it), and there was limited shade at both beach and pool. As for airport transportation, Uber works (don't listen to them if they say its "unsafe" or bad, they want you to take a taxi) —don’t pay more than $25 USD between the airport and this resort. The resort might provide transportation though I'm not sure, we didn't use it. Overall, this trip was a fantastic value. Consider upgrading to Sun Club 100%. We'd absolutely return if visiting Punta Cana again!

I love the hotel!! All the hotel amenities was incredible

I aid to have privileges of adults only seems as though anyone can walk into any side. When dinning at specialty resturants you have to wait and make lines and thats if they don't decided to serve others before you. When dinning at their buffet you will be lucky if you can get water and coffee. This is without aknowledging that they currently have a stomach bug going around and the staff is well aware of this, both me and my husband had to travel back sick while I am entering my third trimester of pregnancy. Some of the menus say one thing and itd someyhing completely different for example in their dominican resturant they say they have patacon with chicken and wasakaka sauce, they serve tostones and sautéed onions which is not the same as what their menu says. The rooms beds are very hard so you will leave with body aches. You will also be lucky if you can get them to clean more than 1 time during your stay. Can't go to the beach because most of the chairs are being taken over or people have purposely put their towels or their stuff there so you can't use it which is the same problem they have at the pools. The rooms have mosquito problem too. Probably on of the first thing they will do is try to sell you excursions and they will give you this paper in shape of a key where they will tell you its a $200 voucher. It's a scam for them to present the unlimited club membership in which they just throw numbers at you and they even ask you to bring you credit card.

Great resort! Good value. Lots to do while you are there. Beach is beautiful. Pool is great. All the bartenders are amazing, talented and attentive.

Construction noise and paint going on for four days on the kids waterpark right in front of our room. All the garbage on the beach was piled up into one disgusting pile or mountain in front of the beach seating area so that that’s what you had to look at while you relaxed. The drinking water was poisoned so after four days of poisoning people they had to switch to bottled water for the whole resort. And the peddlers on the beach were so aggressive. I’ve never seen something like that in my life. Practically harassing us every 5 to 10 minutes.

We weren’t even aware this had a family side or an adult side!They put us on the family side and we were on a group adult birthday trip😢The elevators were broke the whole time, I had 3 broken ribs and had to walk up 3 floors to get to our room our whole entire stay!🤔The buffets food was very nasty, even the drinks from the bars weren’t good! I would never stay here again!

There was alot of construction work being taken place.

We loved it so much we extended our trip twice! Everyone is so friendly and spoil you! Felix was amazing with arranging our room, luggage, arranging taxis etc. The Sun Club is the way to go! You can walk from the hotel to a Party Catamaran.

We couldn’t eat at any of the restaurants as they were all booked for every day. One of the main reasons we booked this resort was the assortment of restaurants and we couldn’t eat at any. We either had to eat at the buffet which didn’t have a very good selection or pay for dinner. The point of booking an all inclusive was to not spend more money on top of what we already paid to go. The manager was of no assistance and just apologized with no answers. The only thing about this trip that was good was the weather, we would never book here again and will not recommend it to other people. Beyond disappointed

I didn’t like the service; it was too slow. By the time I finished my meal, no one had come to serve me water or coffee. I often had to ask for service. The menu was too basic, and they should offer more options. Additionally, the restaurants should assign specific nights for guests, as waking up at 9 AM and trying to see what’s available is not an easy task. Also, someone the furniture in the buffet spots are extremely dirty.

Aucun renseignement donné au préalable sur l’organisation des réservations des restaurants. L’application n’est pas pratique. La piscine principale était extrêmement sale. Bonne qualité de la nourriture du buffet.

Bad customer service one of the cleaning employee treated me bad because she have to map the floor inside my room ,the buffet doesn’t have enough utilities to eat if you ask to then they not give to you ,they see that you don’t have no water n your table and they don’t give u anything some of the cleaning employee don’t knock the door they jus going inside the first day I have to make a complaint

Power went out multiple times. Room was covered in cockroaches and Recluse spiders. Doors leading out didn’t close all the way and had big gapped openings and didn’t really lock. Felt unsafe at night. Beach was covered in trash. Some over the restaurants advertised on resorts weren’t open. Couldn’t relax or enjoy the beach because the Vendors are overwhelming and harass you. We will never go back.

Staff and clean rooms

My room smell like mold and I kept getting bit by some kind of bug we asked to switch rooms and they said they couldn’t help me They never came up to our room to check the smell and clean it it smelled the entire time I would like some kind of refund

Hotel was nice, check in amazing, however housekeeping need some work and responsiveness. Upon Checkin the bathroom was dirty called to have it clean to no avail, they also did not place in wash clothes, the second day they forgot the bath mat so after calling they did bring more towels but still no bath mat in which I requested. Dispite offering 24 hours room service after 12 it was never available.

Clean room, great animation crew, clean areas around hotel, amenities

No drinks, or water was offered while I stood 2 hours in line to check in. The room we got smelled like mold. The floors, shower, and mirrors were dirty. The sheets had stains. The mini fridge was dirty in the inside, rusty and condensation on the outside. The very next day I requested a new room which wasn’t much of an upgrade, but smelled less moldy. There were many mosquitoes and ants in the room. Room towels were not very clean and beach towels smelled musty. The buffet food options were limited, food often cold. Flies & cockroach. Restaurants a la carte only open on selected days and you can’t make reservations for dinner in advance, unless you check at exactly 9am. This is so inconvenient as the app doesn’t work well in the rooms bc of WiFi. The service at these restaurants took too long, staff don’t check in with you after you get your food. I made reservation for Tierra and I let the waiter know it was my mom’s birthday, he said they’d sing happy birthday and bring a dessert which never happened but they did sing happy birthday to someone else sitting at a table next to us. Overall I’m very disappointed. Pool and theater bars were full at all times. I got like 3 drinks the whole 6 days I stayed there. Drinks weren’t great. I very much disliked that guests were smoking everywhere including in the pool and by the bars although there were “No smoking”signs. Not all staff were friendly or welcoming. Genesis, Ariela and Danna were so wonderful, attentive and very kind.

The place has a lot of potential. The bathroom needs some upgrade. Gastronomy is okay. However, it will be great to introduce tourist what the Dominican food is about like fried fish, stew goat and

It’s a nice resort, staff is very nice although some of them are not very customer oriented. It seems it was recently renewed, however the room need some paint and renewal of the Furniture. TV never worked, steak restaurant horrible, 3 hours wainting and then the food was only regular. We and other cuwtomers had to run to the buffet to eat well!

Upon arrival you're swept up quickly by the staff depending on family size I'm guessing. As a couple we were escorted to the "Adults Only" section. We were asked to have a seat in the waiting area; and told we would be helped promptly!! This was NOT the case. We patiently waited almost an hour with no one coming to get us; but waiting on people that just walked through the door. There is obviously no protocol in place for check in!! When you're swept away; leaving your luggage behind; they should probably make a list of names in accordance with your arrival and use said list for check in!! Coming from northern America we were not dressed yet for the hot weather and I for one; was getting very uncomfortable sitting around waiting!! Next is the room. How bizarre!! In ALL of our stays we have NEVER had a room where the bathroom is not separated by WALLS!! It was open concept with the bed directly next to the open bathroom!! Absolutely NO privacy. If one got up during the night; all got up. When you turn the not closed in bathroom light on; it lights up the ENTIRE room!! The room had a hot tub that NO hot water ran into. Nor did I see any controls to get the jet action. Housekeeping showed up daily but was very inconsistent to what they did each time. They did leave a wad of my hair on the floor for 3 mornings. I'm hoping it was picked up after we checked out!! The all glass stalls are knowingly hard to clean; but; it should be attempted. Apparently; I've run out of space

The beachfront area was absolutely stunning: clear water and not too much seaweed - they did a good job of controlling it. The pool areas were nice too - never overcrowded. As for the property, it was decent: didn’t care for our room and probably should have asked for another one (it was on the back side and then we heard dogs barking). The dining options were VERY limited: not sure if it was different if you went to the specialized restaurants. If you’re vegan, a picky eater or a vegetarian you might struggle. At one point, we ended up just eating fruit. The worst part is the vendors who try to sell you excursions, cigars, massages, and just any goods in general. It’s frustrating because they are relentless and you’re just trying to enjoy your vacation. I wish the resort didn’t allow them on the beachfront area. They should be limited to the lobby area. They need to understood no means no. Overall, we had a nice time - any break from everyday life is a good thing.

Its a big hotel lots of pool, hot what big rooms. It's more a family hotel not many options for couples

The property was clean and the staff was very nice and accommodating; however the rooms were outdated and I would say that needed more furniture like night stands and a dresser with drawers. AC needed more power.

The resort is beautiful and our stay was very nice. There are many pools and play areas for children. The room was slightly dated and did need a little maintenance but it appears as though they are updating some of the rooms. Check in via the sun club was relaxing and didnt take too long. Be prepared to walk as the resort is fairly spread out. The food and drinks were very tasty but the poolside service is non existant. If you want to have a drink be prepared to walk to the nearest bar area though if you speak spanish you can wave down one of the staff. I prefer to walk so that was my choice. We rented a bali bed one day and the service for that was wonderful and the resort staff were able to keep the bulk of the beach vendors at bay. The resort credit was also in the form of coupons for bottles of liquor and spa services so we didnt really end up using it. The restaurants are nice (even the buffets which is rare for an all-inclusive). Kaleidoscope was our favorite buffet and we did one of their al la carte restaurants (chopsticks) the servings there are on the smaller side but you can order as needed and the service is very nice. Tipping for service is optional but if you tip a few bucks here or there you are remembered and appreciated. I would definitely stay again. Great value for the price in my opinion.

There is a lot of chaos at check-in. They need to be more organized when many tourists arrive.

My dad and stepmom were coerced into attending a timeshare presentation in exchange for some gift cards. They were staying in the room registered under my sister's name. The gift cards were issued in my stepmoms name. She charged a bottle of wine to the room because she was told she can use the gift cards with no issue. When we went to check out, it became an issue. We couldn't use the gift card credit because it was in my stepmoms name instead of my sister's name even though we were told that it wouldn't be an issue. We faught it tooth and nail and almost missed our flight trying to resolve this. Also, the dominican restaurant called Sunny Side was absolutely horrible. Food was the worst ever. Im Dominican myself and thats not what I expect from a restaurant that supposedly specializes in Dominican cuizine. The maid Carmen was a sweetheart and she did a great job cleaning the room. Chocolate and the other entertainers were absolutely phenomenal and i love them all! Ruth and the other bartenders on the adult side seeiously deserve a raise as they were all amazing. But my favorite was the waitress at kaleidoscope buffet with the flower in her hair who brought me a plate of mangu that she made herself!!!! She definitely deserves the biggest raise! The food is pretty mediocre. The property was ok. Rooms are pretty basic but nobody comes for the rooms. Overall it was a decent trip. I expected better food but oh well.

I am writing to express my disappointment and frustration with a recent experience with Expedia. We purchased a package which include a $200 credit per person for spa services as part of our package, the front disk agent at the resort and the spa receptionist confirmed that the credit could be used, tge took the coupns . However, at checkout on our last day we were charged the full amount, and the coupons were denied. Despite the manager's initial confirmation, we ended up paying an additional $395 out of pocket. As a loyal Expedia customer with many years of travel experience, I am shocked and disappointed by this unexpected issue. I am requesting reimbursement for the amount we were incorrectly charged. I hope that you can look into this matter and provide a prompt resolution.

Very disappointing. I paid for the Sun Club Adult Only package. There was no adult only section, kids were everywhere. They do not check for who is part of the Sun Club so everyone uses those amenities. Most of the service staff is helpful and polite but the service at the buffets was not good. The restaurants open for dinner are limited and it is impossible to make reservations through their app. This is my 6th trip to Punta Cana and all of my trips have been great. This resort is not a good value for the money I paid. I will not be back to this resort and do not recommend.

A ghetto resort. The staff is not welcoming. They are unorganized and extremely slow with check-in and check-out. I gave two stars because the price was an extremely affordable for an all inclusive resort. I was staying at the Paradisus Palma Real Resort and thought to check this resort out our last night since it was a little closer to the airport and a few festivities we wanted to indulge in. Paradisus resort was 10/5. This resort was 2/5 and here's why: The hotel does not have elevators. The room was not clean. The resort does not treat the grounds for mosquitoes. We killed 8 bugs in our room in a span of 14 hours. The food was beyond disgusting. The resort was incredibly noisy. The toilet did not work properly and plumbing backed up. Bathrooms smell like porter potty. The phone in the bedroom did not work and management did not care. The shower was nasty. The pictures on the wall were not aligned. The room clearly had not be dusted in some time. The vent was extremely dirty. Room smelled like cigarettes. The fridge was lightly stocked. The bellhop never came to get our luggage to leave. Bed was clean. The room had AC. Bed was decent sleeping wise. Terrible experience honestly. But hey you get what you pay for. I would NEVER in my life come back to this hotel. I WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK AT PARADISUS PALMA REAL RESORT.

I had a great experience here, and the staff were extremely helpful and kind whenever you asked for assistance. Be sure to ask for assistance. The only downfall I found was when eating at the restaurants which there are about 14, it was not clearly understood to either sit or wait for staff to greet and seat you. Also all tipping preferred in US dollars unless you come from another country then they don’t mind pesos, but if you’re coming from the US, that is the expectation. I would also recommend getting the VIP package because there are actually really good drinks there that are available to you. Unfortunately, if you don’t select that package and you go to any other bar outside of the VIP area you will be drinking, sugary drinks or anything else unless it shots will not provide you and enhanced experience if it’s what you’re looking for.

We mostly enjoyed our stay at the property. Thevstaff was friendly and helpful. The dining facilities where ok, the staff there was awesome. Only thing I did not enjoy was the fact that the moment you step on the beach atea one was bombarded with people trying to sell excursions and trinkets. No matter how often you said no thank you 10 others approached you. Inside the hotel where sales people for Hyatt selling you a membership at the property next door. We where told about a breakfast next door and we where undecided about going only to be eoken up early the next morning by phone to see where we where for our APPOINTMENT.We didn't want to be rude so we went and it turned out yo be a 4 hour sales pitch with 3 different salesguys selling you a $24000 membership...WHAAAAAT??? YOU MUST BE KIDDING

Loved the beach, it was very clean. And the big pool. I really enjoyed my stay.

just went here for vacation! awesome location with multiple restaurants, activities and they did a show every night . pools are great and the staff was super nice! My only complaint was he hotel room only because we had issues with our toilet flushing but other than that it was grand, exquisite and awesome atmosphere .

The beach was dirty with sargasso probably if we go in another time will be better. But for these days we couldn’t get into the water. I was disappointed about it and the smell was awful, also the resort is not 100% free of smoke. For me too much alcohol and smocking allowed in all areas.

Rooms smelled musty. Upgraded to Sunclub thought it would be nice room.... nooo. Pool chemicals had to be off. Turned my sterling silver ring brown. Sun club buffet same as regular buffet...food was subpar. Sushi was just sitting out on a counter at breakfast time ..... Al a carte restaurants were tiny - forcing people to eat at buffets. Sun club bar always was out of something..You could tell staff was trying to make things good.

Resturants were hit or miss. Chop sticks was good. Tiki taco was good. Even though its Italian food. Sunnys Delight was great. Brazilian restaurant horrible. Never had enough meat for tables on skewers. Plus waiters kept going to same tables. Buffet was horrible. Salad bar was bland and sides that were hot were not. Checking in was fast and easy! Stayed on adult side. Except room had no wash clothes. Called 4 times between 4pm-10pm on first night there. Had to go down to desk and let them know about there service. After i exspressed myself had no more issues. Room service was great got to be well known. Asked for Caliente. Got Caliente! Adult side buffet was great. Had to be in there within first 2 hrs of opening. After that food wasnt replenished as well. Staff was great and friendly. Pool side had bar and small buffet in adult side. Great presentation of snacks. Except flies got to enjoy more than myself everyday. Told workers to see if sandwiches could be covered. Guess people like flies on food. Drinks from staff at bar were good. Limited choices on alcohol. Made it work though. Shows were good. Except they start after 930pm. Thats way too late. Need to be earlier like 8pm. I say for families with kids. Plus no night club there. Also bars close at 11pm and open at 10am. Liquor in rooms are a no other than 2 bottles of beer. Beach is a waste. Cannot kayak but so far because of boats. Seaweed is all on sand and water. Pool side is better just go early to find a chair

Food was okay waited over an hour at some restaurants while others got their food faster. Was ignored while other customers (Spanish speaking) got serviced before me while I was there first. Did not like that from 330pm to 6pm you cannot eat at least have one buffet open

This is so inconvenient as the app doesn’t work well in the rooms bc of WiFi. The service at these restaurants took too long, staff don’t check in with you after you get your food. I made reservation for Tierra and I let the waiter know it was my mom’s birthday, he said they’d sing happy birthday and bring a dessert which never happened but they did sing happy birthday to someone else sitting at a table next to us. Overall I’m very disappointed. Pool and theater bars were full at all times. I got like 3 drinks the whole 6 days I stayed there. Drinks weren’t great. I very much disliked that guests were smoking everywhere including in the pool and by the bars although there were “No smoking”signs. Not all staff were friendly or welcoming. Genesis, Ariela and Danna were so wonderful, attentive and very kind.
