IntercityHotel Heidelberg draws praise for its modern, very clean rooms and superb convenience next to the Hauptbahnhof, making public transport to the old town easy, but recurring complaints center on weak or nonfunctioning air conditioning and noise from station announcements.

Very nice hotel with good location a bit away from old town. Very quiet rooms. Breakfast not the greatest, but overall a nice and recommandable hotel.

Stayed 3 nights

I had a nice three day stay. Breakfast was good. A few times I would need assistance from the staff but it was difficult to find them. I had to pay an extra 25 euro fee for earlier check in. I hope the management reconsiders that. Overall, I recommend the hotel for a short trip.

This place has zero customer service. From the time we arrived, they were rude. We got there 30 minutes before check in began, so instead of going in to request our room early, we sat in the patio tables to wait. Almost immediately someone came out to try and get rid of us but I stead told us we could check in early. When we tried to check in, only one of our reserved rooms was ready, so they told everyone just to go to that one room for now. When we got those the room, the air conditioning was broken (so it was cooler outside where we were sitting). We went down to tell about the air conditioning and they said "it will only take me a minute to fix it, but it isn't a priority right now so we'll send someone up soon." Hours later, there was still no air conditioning and they finally responded to a message and said it was indeed broken and they would not be able to fix it today, but to just open the windows. When asked about an alternative room, they ignored us. So, the windows were left open all night with the train noise and bugs entering and biting. In the morning we again went to the front desk to inquire and again were told it would be fixed today or we would get a new room. Again, neither of those things happened.

It was good. Breakfast was free because the window wouldn’t lock so the air conditioner didn’t work.
