What a great night at the pub. It’s a too-notch hotel with excellent facilities and fresh decor. Clean, quiet with great food and drinks in the pub downstairs. Great value! It’s a solid 9.2+

Staff very polite, helpful, accomodating. Lovely comfy beds, lots of amenities, coffee machine, radio,iron,hair dryer, toiletries, everything you could possibly need. Some cobwebs and carpet needing hoovered more thoroughly especially round the edges.

Overall a decent hotel, but nothing to write home about. Staff was friendly and accommodating, but the rooms could use a refresh. All the walls had marks on them, the decorative pillows look dirty, and the shower is small with a fixed shower head making it hard to wash. But at the end of the day it did the job for the 2 nights we were in the area for a wedding, I was just expecting more for the price.

De kamer was niet goed schoon gemaakt. Prullenbakken niet geleegd en rommeĺ op de vloer. Kamer heel erg klein en een sterke verfgeur. Voor 174 euro per nacht toch meer van verwacht. Na klacht wel opgeruimd, maar niet echt tevreden.

Really nice hotel & restaurant but …….. 1. If you stay you’ll be interrupted by the bang of the front door everytime someone enters or leaves the building. 2. Really bar area but if sat by the same door you’ll be interrupted regularly 3. Really nice food but be prepared to wait - maybe it’s just short staffed at present but found myself standing at the bar waiting to be served. The quality of the rooms & food were really good but it needs to be staffed correctly (and fix the front door !)

Very happy with my stay. Beautifully decorated and clean room with a very comfortable bed. En-suite with complimentary toiletries and a great choice of teas, coffee hot chocolate and proper fresh milk in a small fridge. Very impressed and all for A good price

The room was clean and the staff friendly so a good start, the doors don’t provide much soundproofing I was aware of other guests entering and departing their rooms throughout the night. The room was cold and I could not adjust this with the temperature controls advised when shown to my room. Overall content with the stay for the price point and purpose.

These are rooms above a pub rather than a hotel, the check in was vague, I didn't see a 'front desk' and the lady showing us the room wasn't very welcoming or informative. The room was a little tired with chipped furniture and peeling wallpaper, and it was very small. However it was well equipped with everything you need for a one night stop. The shower room was nicely fitted and nice toiletries were provided but again it was very small. Breakfast was good, and its a dog friendly establishment which will suit some.

Have to say I was super impressed with this inn. First off, the rooms aren’t big but they are comfortable and the bathrooms are big for England. The bed linens were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on. Would come back for those alone but really the best part of the entire stay was the staff. Specifically David and Anja. They were incredibly nice, amazingly friendly and super helpful. Some of the hardest working people I’ve ever met. Thanks to both of you. Great place to base a tour of the Surrey hills from. Thank you!

Absolutely shockingly bad staff. Infact the girl who pulls the pints has to check you in so zero training. Could not check in till 3 so sat in front of her for an hour and then she said she had forgotten about us. The room was cold and not clean. We checked out 3 hours after checking in as it was dire. Worst thing about it was the staff, all of them.

I booked with quite late notice and arrived before the typical check-in time. The welcome was warm and nothing seemed to much trouble from the start. The rooms have been sensitively decorated with little touches that link the interiors with the train station across the road, which was nice. The room was perfectly comfortable with good facilities. The breakfast was made with real care and attention. I stay away in a lot of soulless hotels but Harpers isn’t one of them. The team are wonderfully hospitable and it’s clear to see the love and care that extends through every element of the experience here. Unbelievable value for money. I will definitely be back.

I can't say enough praise for the owner/ manager. Damien. A very happy,helpful person. Plus his staff.. Our car broke down and we had to wait hours but he was very understanding. Tried to book again for that night but unfortunately all rooms were gone. Will definitely stay again. And food, Wow !!!!! . Everything we had over the stay was so tasty. My partners Daughter had her 30th last month and that was a great night too. Cheers all.

Great location. We visited the Devils punch bowl which was only a 9 minute drive away. Easy access to shops. We stayed in a comfort double room, it was spacious, had comfy bedding (always a plus!) and had amazing black out curtains which made it feel more homely. Shower facilities were okay. Restaurant food was okay, breakfast was good although missing the yoghurts. Overall, staff team were accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!

The staff were pleasant and welcoming. We liked the convenience and food offered at the property. The bed was also extremely comfortable. In terms of improvements, the mirror in the bathroom was too far away for shaving, etc - It would be nice to have a magnifying mirror. Also, we felt it was difficult to leave the property by car as the visibility was quite poor and cars pass by quite quickly.

I recently stayed at Harper’s which was a wonderful experience. It manages to combine a steak house with small hotel. Harper’s has easy access to public transport and also access to the South Downs. Excellent stay.

This accommodation was based in a popular restaurant setting within a picturesque small town. I was warmly greeted and shown to my room. It was a wonderful place to spend an overnight stay with quality finished to the décor as well as the fittings and furniture. I even had a great patio set up which was ideal for the warm, sunny day we had. The room also had a fridge, king bed and air-con which helped promote and fantastic night's sleep. The bathroom had a nice set up with a shower that had 2 shower heads working simultaneously which helped me relax after a long day. The area around allowed for a great 1 hour walk, some of which was on a track running besides a river. The only blemish which removed the possibility of a 5 star review was that the cooked breakfast took an age to get to me when it wasn't too busy and when received, I discovered that the food was overcooked also.

Great location. We visited the Devils punch bowl which was only a 9 minute drive away. Easy access to shops. We stayed in a comfort double room, it was spacious, had comfy bedding (always a plus!) and had amazing black out curtains which made it feel more homely. Shower facilities were okay. Restaurant food was okay, breakfast was good although missing the yoghurts. Overall, staff team were accommodating and friendly. We would definitely stay again. Thanks!

The hotel was located in a great location for me near the train station. Food was fantastic. I had a slight situation with the shower leaking. But the manager (can’t remember the name) and Anya were very good to me! Couldn’t have wished for a better team to look after me whilst waiting for it to get fixed. I suggest staying here especially for the vibes.

We were really impressed with our stay at Harpers Steakhouse in Haslemere. Looking for a reasonably priced hotel for a one-night stay, we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The room was comfortable, air-conditioned (a real plus on a rare hot evening), with a good bed, quality sheets, and complimentary water, a small touch I always appreciate. Dinner was great also. I hadn’t had BBQ ribs in years and thoroughly enjoyed them. The whole meal was very good. Staff throughout were excellent, but special mention goes to Anya, who stood out for her cheerful, chatty, and genuinely helpful approach from check-in right through dinner. If we’re staying in the area again, we’ll definitely return.
