Location fabulouse 5 minutes walk from tube station and the best thing was the underground car park with ligts straight into the hotel. left luggage also near the parking. Great breakfast.

Basic hotel. You get what you pay for, London hotels are expensive. Got pretty hot in summer as there were no AC. Beds are fine. Toilet was slightly broken. Took forever to fill back up, sometimes multiple hours. Location is good.

It took half an hour to check in. Plenty of smiley reception staff, staring blankly at screens, achieving very little. Our room and surrounding corridors stank of frying onions (coming up through the fire escape). Otherwise, the room was comfortable. On the morning of departure, it took over 10 minutes to reach the ground floor, due to malfunctioning lifts - with the only alternative being an alarmed fire escape. All these points were mentioned to the receptionist upon checkout. The only reaction was “sorry” and another nice smile. Overall: a poor experience.

No minibar/fridge inside room, only liquid soap (and they will never refill it), too little storage space for clothes and luggage, single-sided breakfast. The room equipment is overall basic, but functional, budget-hotel category. The price per night is above mid-range, which is odd. Even according to London's standards, this hotel offers too little for the price charged. Cleanliness uneven: clean bed sheets, hotel is very clean overall, excellently clean bathroom, but water heater was dirty, dust unwiped from furniture. Elevator only works with the room's magnetic card, which demagnetizes frequently. It happened to me twice during my 6-night stay. Heavy English breakfast. Limited. It's all the same every day. Poor quality ingredients. Literally everything is the cheapest, lowest quality from the ham slices down to the sausages. Overcrowded mass-accommodation: you have to wait for ages to take the tight elevator, which in general is full with people. As for breakfast: you have to stand in line to wait for a table and you have to maneuver between the crowd to get seated. Location is good: near Russel Square, close to the British Museum and not far from Euston Train Station.

The staff are always helpful and polite. Communal areas are open and clean. Nice rooms and a great breakfast. Our only negative is the ease of storing or collecting bags. It's can become very congested at time and we've had to wait a long time

Nice hotel for the price. Two minutes walking from Russell Square Underground Station, wich was great. Room wasn’t fancy, but clean, big and with comfortable beds. Would have been great with two chairs as we were two people in the room, (there was only one chair), but no biggie. Breakfast was simple, but fine. Did miss some cucumber, tomatoes, bell peppers, e.g. Also wish there was somewhere to sit in the lobby. There were no chairs or sofas, and people kept sitting on the floor. So did we… No other option. I had a chronic illness flare up, and Wasim at the front desk made sure we got a late check out. Staff was friendly, nice and helpful.

Was easy to get to places from this hotel.Close to Euston and Kings Cross St. Pancras. Very affordable. It has several restaurants around, which are open late and a 24hrs Deli. Really convenient. A nice pub, London pub, is right in its premises.

Great location, clean room, comfy bed. Annoyingly the left luggage room was full & we was told to speak to the manager who did nothing. If they had put the overflow in to a meeting room or ground floor room it would have solved the issue and settled the frustration of many people who had to carry around their luggage around London for the day.

Very good hotel excellent breakfast Room good but my wife complained that there was no mirror and shelves close together for using straighteners or for grooming your hair otherwise very good Great pub on site lively place good meals for around £25

This was our first time at the Royal National Hotel. It was clean and bright. Quiet at night. Check in was very busy but we were taken to another check in desk. Staff were pleasant and professional. The room was made up daily. The area outside felt safe and not overwhelming. Nearby places to eat. The Underground/tube was in walking distance. I would recommend and stay again if visiting London.

The bedroom was so clean, it seemed brand new. The bed and pillows were so comfortable too. The bathroom and shower were also excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

I stayed at the Royal National Hotel for three nights. The location is excellent: very accessible to major Underground lines and within walking distance of many attractions. The staff were friendly and the hotel was clean, though the bathrooms felt a bit dated and the overall value was a bit high for what you get. On the first morning, we were woken up by cleaning staff around 8 a.m. after a long flight, which was disappointing. Thankfully, leaving the “Do Not Disturb” sign on the next day solved that. Room soundproofing could definitely be improved, you can hear a lot of noise from the corridors early in the morning. Overall, it’s a convenient and clean option in a great location, but slightly overpriced for the quality.

Basic but clean rooms. I appreciate how they have openable windows. I can’t stand turning up to a hotel room and finding the windows don’t open. There was a bad drains smell coming from the bathroom. Hotel was very busy with long queues for breakfast so I didn’t bother. Overall not a bad stay but what you get is basic when you’re paying almost £200 a night.

Property is only 10 mins walk from Euston Station, check in very fast. We had a twin room which was clean and very comfortable beds, we were on the front of the building so was very noisy from traffic, London never seems to sleep. One thing i did not like was no air conditioning or fan in the room, was very hot and could not leave the window open all night as too noisy! Breakfast good

This was more of a budget hotel with very few amenities, very spartan, two twin beds in a very small room. In the lobby they had no seating, chairs, or couches. Tiny bathroom with a sink so small that it was a joke. I know it's Central London, but this would have been a good hotel for $139 a night, not for $300 a night. I got misled by at least one online travel review site about the Royal National.

The room is basic, clean, but noisy, especially at night. We lived on the fifth floor but we could still hear all the cars and sirens at night. We can also hear the conversations from the neighboring rooms. There's no sound proof at all.

Reception staff very friendly and overall the staff were very helpful. The room was nicely decorated,clean and a good size and the bathroom updated. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Only two problems really. No air-conditioning which meant our room was way to warm and when you opened the window it was extremely noisy but you are in central London.The second was the shower which did not stay straight when it was in the holder so you could not stand under it but had to take the shower hose/ head down and hold it.

The staff here are very horrible. They just think you are coming in hotel to steal. Everytime you leave and come back you asked if you are staying and asked to show ID. It’s not a friendly or welcoming place to stay. Especially when you are the one paying for the room. I had the same experience with this hotel last time and I complained at the time. Decided to give them a benefit of the doubt as maybe it was a bad day that time but no. Same attitude same meet and great as before. I will never stay here again or recommend it to anyone.

We had 2 reservations, first one checked in time took more than 40 minutes due to many people and not enough staffs, second one checked in time 15 minutes, because they got more staffs. Overall the property is good, close to everything shopping, train and bus stations, British museum. Definitely will stay again.

The location is excellent, close to Russell Square, Euston and King's Cross stations, which means you are easily connected to the rest of London. It's also within walking distance of The British Museum and British Library, UCL, SOAS, Birkbeck, Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street. The staff were also fantastic. The receptionists were friendly, and the security and concierges were super helpful. It will most probably be my first choice next time I'm in London.

Poor check in experience, several hotels have separate desks and similar names. Wrong queue then your doing it twice, this could be made clearer within the foyer or on booking confirmation. Room nice, modern, comfortable and clean, top marks here, where it really counts.

The rooms and general hotel is fine. However the check in process is terrible. Long queues, more staff standing around than checking people in. Zero apology for 30 minutes waiting in line. Twice asked for my passport despite being a British citizen And not requiring it. Staff could hardly understand me and had no care at all about the length of wait time . The photo is at 11.20pm. Awful experience.

The new part of the hotel that had been refurbished was great, we had a room booked in that section. We also had a second room booked which was in the older part of the hotel, which wasn't as up to date and modern. The hallways had seen better days. The staff were all friendly and helpful, no issues in that department. Even had a refund from the London pub when the calamari was not edible. Breakfast had a good selection of cooked and continental buffet. It was a bit too busy from 8:30am till 9:30am with the morning rush.

Room comfortable and lovely duvet and pillows. Shower difficult to get right temperature as too hot. Excellent onsite evening food in “ The London Pub” and breakfast provided a good selection but was basic table and chairs.

Very close or an easy tube ride to theatres, restaurants and shops. Beds were comfortable and clean and rooms were a bit nicer than I expected given the good price and location. The restaurants attached to the hotel were lovely, but the breakfast buffet was low key gross and overcrowded. If you’re travelling and love exploring good restaurants, I’d skip their breakfast buffet.

Very basic Ibis style interior fur the room. Breakfast is a farce! Long queues to book in. They start to make excuses with signage about the 08:00 rush on check-in. Balshy service at breakfast. Food was ok though st breakfast.

Loved our stay at this hotel and would definitely stay here again! Breakfast was delicious - possibly the best English breakfast I’ve had at a hotel in a long time. Tasty sausages, thick bacon and scrambled egg that’s actually cooked and not runny! We arrived at the beginning of May during the ‘mini heatwave’ so the lack of air-con in the room was the only downfall for us :-)

At breakfast, we were allocated a table and reserve put on it, we fetched teas/coffee and cutlery then went to get hot food. As we got back to ‘our’ table the full cups of tea/coffee and cutlery had been removed and someone else was about to be given the table! Very poor management and allocation of tables!
