Staying whilst attending the convention centre. Super high quality rooms with sparkly clean bathroom. Had a feeling of luxury. Really enjoyed the room amenity. Staff and service exceptional. Bar was great, good atmosphere. Breakfast option a little compared to price but sufficient.

I cannot highly enough rate this hotel: my room was spacious, super-clean, recently renovated, and with a glamorous art deco vibe. The room service was timely, and delicious, and fairly priced. The pool, spa and sauna were all helpful to unwind.

Good central location, tram stop out the front, rooms have been renovated and double sliding doors can be opened for fresh air but when closed keep out most of the city noise. Tv was good size with lots of foxtel channels. Shower was good. Basement pool, spa and sauna are a welcome retreat in the city. Breakfast and some service could be improved.

Perfect stay, in an ultra modern clean and elevated styled room. The pool, spa and sauna open 24hrs was a huge bonus too. Tram stop right outside was very convenient too. Free travel into china town

The staff were lovely and obliging Facilities nothing special - breakfast is good but nothing special, same with rooms. The pool is good but in the basement making it feel hot and claustrophobic (photos are a bit deceptive) The guest laundry facilities are not great, dryers didn’t dry even after 3 cycles Didn’t feel safe to walk the around the area - which included going into the hotel carpark which is opposite the hotel. Overall, ok stay but could do better

This was one of the best hotel stays in a long time. Very helpful staff, quickly organised our luggage, explained how to park (parking is just next door, fixed cost $30 a night with unlimited entries). Excellent room. Comfortable shower. Generous amounts of soap, shampoo etc. Mini-bar and room service available all day-night. Also kettle and coffee pod machine available in the room. Designer furniture . Great bed, plenty of pillows. Foxtel TV. Breakfast buffet plentiful. Dining and the bar on premises. Plus, great central location close to shops and restaurants. Only thing- WiFi kept disconnecting.

The Playford is well located for a variety of walks, cultural venues and shopping in an area full of parks and beautiful buildings. The hotel itself is immaculate and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool and gym is open 24/7 and both were well equipped and clean. Highly recommend.

We love this hotel; it is our go-to. We were disappointed, though on this trip, that our room was not serviced. We had left at 8:30 am and returned at 2:30 pm. The bed was still unmade, and no clean towels. We think that it would have been very reasonable to service the room in this time frame

Surprisingly to see finger prints on bathroom mirror, stains on carpet and lounge sofa when I got in the room. The iron in room was certainly damaged and broken prior to my arrival as it sticked on my cloth and ruined my shirt right away after I plugged in and waited for steam coming out. The duty manger Nick didn't even want to bother to check the iron or my shirt and said that iron was not used for a long time as guests don't usually use iron in room! Then the executive housekeeper said later that iron was totally fine but just couldn't be used anymore?! No one was even bother to say a simple sorry or looking into any solutions. Very disappointed with this poor quality of service and rude attitude.

Nice art deco styling. Stayed in Junior North Terrace Suite - bed was very firm and not very comfortable; pillows were good. Lounge seat was hard and uncomfortable. Spa bath wonderful but no bubbles provided. Shower recess cleaned feed by flimsy white curtains - low end. Kitchenette facility adequate - needs a modern flatbed microwave though. Sheer curtains for privacy didn’t fully close. Double glazed doors to balcony didn’t totally block out road noise. Dinner to room arrived uncovered and was cold - reported to Duty Manager. Over priced room for facilities provided. Wouldn’t stay again.

The Playford is a lovely hotel. Very comfortable room (New York Loft was superb), excellent breakfast and friendly staff (Bella was most helpful). The hotel has recently been refurbished and the pool/spa/gym reopened yesterday. Highly recommend and will return!

Really great place with fantastic service and a nice part of the city. Bed and bathroom were fantastic. Definitely had a lot going for it. Minor thing that was a bit annoying were the pillows. They were either too fluffy or too flat so even though the bed was really comfortable sleep was a little bit dampened by the pillow selection. A minor thing, but when looking at something that’s done so well the little criticisms are what would make it amazing! Highly recommend for a romantic getaway.

Elegant room, quiet, great location, character edifice that I remember eyeing off ambitiously as a child!. Only stayed one night and found check-in unnecessarily slow - people checking in late afternoon and leaving next morning really just want to be able to get into their room without delay. "Happy hour" in the bar disappointed with a small discount on limited drinks, no nibbles...

Exceptional service in beautiful surroundings - thank you especially to Melissa for the warm welcome, Paige for the most delicious cocktails and setting the highest standard of customer service (your fellow colleague (male) on the Monday night when you weren't there was not even close to your level), Michael for going out of his way to provide the best room service experience I've ever had and Brooke for her helpful friendly assistance. The Playford was the perfect hotel for our 3 night visit to Adelaide. The rooms are spacious and beautiful, location is vibrant and convenient but the staff at the front desk made all the difference. At check in we met Ricky who recommended awesome excursions and neighborhood restaurants that were simply outstanding.

Lovely hotel, good position to shopping mall. The area around doesn’t feel very safe from 6.39pm. Reception staff not at all friendly or very helpful. Rooms were not ready at 3pm and we were told they would ring us when they were ready. We had to go back and check with the Hotel a couple of times before we got into our rooms. No apologies given.

It is the small things that make a hotel 5 star. New carpet and cool lights are great but a cheap hard bed, no shower gel and a door that doesn’t self close should be pretty standard expectations in a 5 star property. Do not disturb cardboard hanging on the door but was knocked on 3 times by staff wanting to access room for different reasons = unprofessional. Slow check in too but friendly staff.

Nicki any reception was really welcoming friendly and efficient. Everyone was lovely at checkin. It was a special event for mums70th and they brought up a little happy birthday surprise which definitely set the mood for our night out. We didn’t get to eat there but the room service menu looked great. The room was lovely and the bath clean and deep. Pool and spa facilities were also good. 24 hour access was also terrific and more places should do this. Location and parking easy and allowing us to have a late checkout meant we could make full use of a sleep in and morning bath. Thanks to the team for a lovely stay. We will be back.

The Playford is our favorite hotel in Adelaide. It’s very welcoming and nicely designed. The staff do a wonderful job. The rooms are 5 star and well appointed. We love the location and transportation is very easy with the trams right out front and the Casino and train station across the street. Can’t recommend more highly.

Property was lovely, room was nice and perfect for one person. My only complaint is the toilet paper is like sandpaper and the pillows are too squishy. The buffet breakfast was good, I had it both mornings I stayed and left stuffed. It is in a side street off Hindley street which is not the most pleasant to walk on at nighttime but you are far enough away that you don’t get any of the noise. Close to public transport. I would stay here again.

My fiancée and I enjoyed our stay immensely. Room service food was only slightly late, which we had no complaint about but were surprised by a free $50 dessert due to the slight delay. Food and customer service were amazing. Very good experience, can’t wait for our next stay.
