Location great. The staff were lovely, really hardworking The rooms at the back are a bit dingy but ok for a short stay. The hotel was very busy (Ashes and Christmas), one lift out of action, staff overwhelmed at breakfast it was all a bit chaotic. Pool ok but only 5 loungers

Parking is available at a cost of $30, but on weekends is very tight and not really suitable for cars any bigger than a mazda 3 or corolla. Swimming pool was very cold even on a 40 degree day, but still beautiful with lovely views. Otherwise, my time here was lovely and a great place to base yourself when in Adelaide as it is close to everything.

Room was clean and staff were lovely and helpful. There was trouble with the lifts so one day there was quite a wait to get to ground floor and other days it was just slow as they were one lift down, I am sure this isn't a common occurrence but impacted our stay. Location is brilliant, able to walk to so many places.

Blood all over the bed sheets, not changed Had to ask 3 times for a cot bed to be brought to the room, was asked to pay for it, explained I paid through WOTIF. still didnt put a bed in the room until 10:30pm when asking the third time, bed was delivered dirty, changed pillow case and top sheet, when we went to bed a 2am, their was blood on the fitted sheet!

The property is in a fantastic location directly opposite the station and casino. Staff were great and very accommodating. The hotel is a little dated however we were very disappointed with the cleanliness. Our first room had black mould in the shower grout. After complaining they immediately moved us to a new room but that shower base was no better with the same black mould in the corners.

Room was really good, tidy and well equipped. The hotel was in good vicinity to the greater Adelaide cbd and directly across from Adelaide train station and Adelaide oval. Staff were pretty friendly and had no real problems with our stay overall

I think that the house keeping staff need better training Three teabags for two people in the room not replaced stayed three nights. Shower cap not replaced. And the mug that i used was left dirty for three days

We are so disappointed of this Hotel, I stay at this hotel for five night but only three days have cleaning and two night are missing ! From the first day haven’t cleaned, I have already go down to reception to complain and strongly request the cleaning requirement. but end up it happen again!

Bed was very comfortable, room size generous, but the bathroom was a little tired (stained grout, old tap ware). Cleaners hadn’t been very observant as I found food smears on the cupboard door. Air conditioning was noisy. Hotel served its purpose of a functional nights stay but it is not lux.

This hotel is in a great location, close to Rundle Mall and the tram stops. Check in was quick and staff are super friendly. Biggest let downs are the lifts (even though there are 3 of them) are incredibly slow and you can sometimes be standing around for 5 minutes waiting. Also, the rooms are quite outdated and the air conditioning is terrible. It was quite muggy during our stay and there is no way to turn the aircon from fan to cool making the room super uncomfortable at night time to sleep. Overall the stay wasn’t terrible, I would probably consider it again but if you’re looking for a luxury hotel in Adelaide there are much better options.

Looks glamorous from the outside when pulling up. Foyer area is nice and looks grand. We stayed in Room 1216, right next to lifts. Always seem to get the less desirable rooms when booking through Wotif which is really disappointing. Rooms are definitely outdated. There are no ceiling lights and 2 of the lamps didn’t work so it was hard to see when closing the blinds for privacy. Air conditioning was horrible as was on motion sensor with big gaps in between. This meant waking up hot every hour and having to get up and move around to turn it back on. Even then it wouldn’t turn on every time. Loud noise which continued each time it did decide to come back on (right when you finally got back to sleep) which meant a very disturbed and unrestful night of sleep. Lift noise didn’t help either. Bathroom small and awkward with door in way of toilet and access to the shower. Mini bar over priced ($6 for water is ridiculous). Pool area like a prison however gym looked well equipped. Buffet breakfast had lots to offer but hot food was cold by the time you got a coffee from a very slow machine. Staff were great though. Not sure if we’d stay again as the air con is a big deal for us… especially when we arrived and it was 38 degrees!

The room air conditioner is pressnt to go off in about 20 minutes and the remote is fixed to the wall. We woke up sweating multiple times in the night on the two nights we stayed. I saw there was poor reviews of this hotel but did not make much of it but here onwards I will always consider guest reviews. This is a 2 star hotel and expedia should not have it under five star.

We are both in our 70s there was no valet service to help us with our bags when we arrived. The receptionist was abrupt and unfriendly. It was 1:35pm and we were told our room wasn’t ready,which was fine, but we could upgrade immediately for an extra $30. When we declined and said we would wait in the lounge the short 25 mins the response was somewhat frosty! We have stayed with Stanford hotels previously and never experienced anything like it! It really upset us and the tone of our mini break. Very cross.

Loved the location the facilities the Breakfast & Staff were very friendly & Professional ! Only issue but a big one ….. we called reception 1st at about 10pm for 2 pillows they were very thin ! No answer message said would return call ! After 2 rings it disconnected so missed it ! Rang reception 2 more times no answer so called another number no answer ! So called concierge & he brought 1 more flat pillow up & said that was all they had or could find ?? Sorry was a bad nights sleep for me & a sore neck in the morning ! Spoilt a Great Experience please Ensure it doesn’t happen to someone else !! Thank you

Really comfortable bed and pillows. I had a great sleep. Room was clean, shower was brillant. Ashleigh on reception was wonderful, very helpful and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. Sorted out my extended stay so that I could stay in the same room. Breakfast was not worth the money sadly. The cooked section the food was luke warm and the scrambled egg was very sloppy. Great location in the city. The tram and rail station on your doorstep. Highly recommend a stay here although a bit on the expensive side.

The property is in a good central location and is very nice in the public areas such as the lobby and restaurant. Unfortunately the rooms are getting very tired and dated and need a freshen up for sure. All the staff we came across were nice and friendly and helpful. The one thing i would recommend changing is with your breakfast package, you need to include 1 free barista coffee per person per breakfast, the automatic coffee machine puts out terrible coffee!

Bathroom door #1413 rotting (inside bathroom) and overdue for maintenance. Common enough in smaller and cheaper hotels/motels but we expected more of Stamford. Room Service meals were not only slow, but they were delivered almost too cold to eat. If we weren't so tired and hungry we would have complained at the time. Just one of the niggles of travelling that hotels should minimise.

Our stay was pleasant and the room was comfortable with all the motel trimmings and a lovely view over the parklands. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Our meal at La Boca was absolutely delicious and a definite highlight of the stay and the buffet breakfast was equipped with all of the breakfast options. Will definitely stay again and recommend to anyone who wants a great experience of Adelaide and its surroundings.

Although the property is clean and staff are great. This was not one of our favourite hotels because: 1. Carpark is a nightmare with tiny bays, steep ramps and huge concrete pillars everywhere . 2. This is a pleasant hotel to stay in. Good local restaurants, convenient to Arundel Mall and to Adelaide Oval.Lots of interesting walks nearby. The hotel is old but very well maintained. Good size rooms and a comfortable bed. There is an excellent bar and breakfast was better than most (the sourdough rye bread was delicious). Highly recommended.
