Glenelg Motel

The managers accommodated us with a very late check in - much appreciated, as our plane was delayed. However, the parking lot was gated and required a fob for both going in and going out, which was fairly inconvenient. Also, maybe there was a thermostat for our room somewhere, but it wasn’t obvious, and we were quite cold during the night. We had an early ferry in the morning, so we missed meeting anyone in the office.

Older style motel but it was clean and tidy. Booked it due to having a Restaurant but turned up and they have closed it. No toaster or Microwave either. Jug lid broken Asked for tourist attraction leaflets and they don't have them. Doors damaged from wet and hard to close so every door had to be slammed and the people next door to me did that many times during the night apart from their yelling and screaming which showed the walls are very thin - could hear the TV also.

Although the rooms are not modern, they are spacious and clean. Parking is secure and the rooms are away from the main road noise.

Great location. Close to everything in this little tourist precinct. Motel undergoing upgrade and is looking modern inside. Great rates. Staff friendly & helpful. Management considers guest safety with closed gates 8pm and deadlocks on room door. Clean. Free wifi. Clean pool and spa. Parking outside room A 5-10 minute walk to beach, Jetty Rd and shops. Room had toaster but no knives or plates. Could have been oversight. Would definitely stay there again.

Place is old but very clean and comfortable, the room we had was huge. Secure gates at night was an added bonus. We would stay again.

The spa jets arent working properly and need to be serviced. The room was fairly outdated but clean.

Tight park aged amenities

It was convenient to where we had to go. Walking distance to the nearest pub. Room was clean, the shower was great and due to hot weather the pool was fantastic.

We stayed in your hotel for 3 nights. However, not once did the cleaner come, did not take out the garbage, or asked "Do you need anything?"

Staff was helpful and friendly room was really clean and comfortable.

Large cockroaches in the bathroom and climbing up the main living walls on both nights. Ants in bathroom and in one of the beds on arrival and through duration of stay.

The motel was very clean and quiet. It was very handy for the places we wanted to go to.

No room cleaning

Dirty old stinks laundry took money and didnt work aircon spat out some black crap all over the floor probably never been cleaned no toaster no microwave no plates just sum mugs and two spoons and a kettle stains on carpet and seating ☹️

EVERYTHING WAS GOOD AT THE MOTEL EXCEPT I WAS NOT HAPPY BECAUSE WE COULD NOT GET THE INTERNET.....VERY DISAPPOINTED ABOUT THIS....AS THIS HAPPENING WE MIGHT NOT STAY THERE AGAIN...

Honestly Great place if ya only sleeping and not staying in room for long Didn’t have a real pleasant smell think from being locked up and no windows able to open for air Windows rattle when door closes from your room and others close by Wasn’t very sound proof could hear the neighbours either side in there rooms Hot water didn’t last long and took forever to reheat

Yes room was in good condition. After hours check in was nerve wraking when the key arrangements hadn't been sent through by the time our plane landed. It was also disconcerting when the manager tried to get into our room at 11pm....we were fast asleep. lucky we had the chain on the door.

Arrived at the Motel, manager had not seen my booking from wotif come through, looked it up, found it but at that stage all of the rooms were booked out so I had nowhere to stay. Very disappointing result. The manager told me of other Motels in the area to try but they also were fully booked. Note to self, after booking through a third party site, ring to confirm that the Motel has actually received and seen your booking.

The property met all our needs. When the washing machine did not work our mobey was refunded and they took the washing and did it in the commercial machine. Very grateful indeed.

If you are looking for a motel who will change your room and put into a smaller room(*because of unspecified issue..cough cough.. doubled booked) but still charge the same amount per night this is the perfect place. If you want a motel who will move your personal belongings and baggage and move it into the original room you originally booked without your authority or permission especially when I expressed this to the staff not touch or move our stuff due to the absolute inconvenience having to pack a family of 5 up after 4 weeks of travellingthis is the motel for you. If you want staff who do not communicate with each other this is the perfect motel for you. If you want staff who will absolutely lie when been called out and denying ever having conversations with you again when you express Not to touch our personal belongings then again this is the place for you. If you want a motel this echos 1980s dirty motel vibe with our dated decor then this again is perfect. If you want a nice damp smelling room again this is perfect. If you want to feel like you are sleeping in a bed that you can get bed bugs again this is perfect. Having booking this accommodation in October for originally 4 nights and then changing down to 3 in Nov I didn't have high hopes but at the time of booking ghis

Well priced accommodation so close Glenelg and the beach

Old style Motel, tidy & clean. Plenty of room, but the bed was firm, pillows soft, a just a worn blanket, & bed cover. The lounge was very uncomfortable. There was a small fridge, tea & coffee making facilities but only supplied 4 very small milk pods, enough for 2 cups each. A microwave and some basic plates, cutlery would have been helpful. Doors were hard to close, hence lots of neighbours could be heard slamming doors. Parking was right outside our door. The biggest downfall, the property is right under the Adelaide International Airport flight path, and planes started at 6am. So if you're looking for a sleep in, its not the place for you.

Close to airport

Easy and convenient to airport for multiple pickup and drop offs. Walking distance to Jetty Road for shops and restaurants. Good value for money.

Great location, walkable to beaches, shopping and restaurants.

It was very difficult to find driving. The entrance is on the A15. I came in the other side although it's one way the wrong way.

The motel did not honour the free breakfast included in the deal Also no sanitary bags were available

One towel per person, women have hair and need 2 towels, reception person a male with short hair debated saying he’s travelled the world and only ever had one towel per person, reluctantly gave extra towels. Silverfish on the lounge, removed cushion on lounge and looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in a while, food debris. Blankets had holes in it. When bought room, said breakfast was included, but no breakfast provisions and no mention of where to go to get it given by reception at checkin.

Comfy beds, close vicinity to airport. Able to order food and get it delivered to room - great pizza. Clean bathroom facilities. Value for money.

Great relaxing vibe, lovely swimming area, good reasonable breakfast

We went for breakfast the morning of first night and found that breakfast had finished. Breakfast was served between 7.30 and 9am we arrived at 9 and was told it had finished Second morning we went for breakfast arrived in time. My son chose continental breakfast. He chose cereal and whilst filling his bowl found ants in the cereal. Thank you
