Very bright, clean lobby with friendly, welcoming staff. We paid extra to have an oceanview room and it was money very well spent. Go ahead and spend the extra for the seaview; it’s certainly worth it. Our room was spotless with very comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen. It was wonderful to have a dishwasher and washing machine with powder sachets provided. With the beach right out of doorstep I really didn’t think we needed to swim in the pool, but I’m so glad we did. The water was divine, so smooth and refreshing. The spa and sauna were both awesome too. The balcony was the absolute best thing! I loved sitting out there, watching the waves roll in. It was also good that my teenagers could go to the beach together and I could watch them from the balcony. It was an absolute dream of a hotel, 100% recommend it.

Great location, we are SA locals and needed a weekend get away. When we arrived we were given a room upgrade not for any real reason, I believe the staff are just nice like that! Great pool, spa and sauna area. Would be a great space for a family trip.

The location was fabulous with our balcony facing straight out onto the beach. The parking was $30 a night, which I thought was a bit steep when we'd already paid a pretty high price for the room. On the Friday night, there was a very loud live band downstairs, playing awesome music, but it made it absolutely impossible to sleep until the early hours of the morning. The Saturday night there was a DJ but it was a lot quieter and we were able to sleep. The other nights were fine. The bedroom had sliding doors to shut it off from the rest of the area (which is why I booked it so our toddler could sleep and we could stay up) but the doors were frosted glass and when you had any of the lights on in the main area, it lit up the room like daylight. It would be great if the doors were solid or there were blinds/curtains.

Staff were lovely. Great ocean view. Great area. However room was dated and seen better times eg paint chips etc, icky marks on carpet. Bathroom was filthy and just with a little wipe with bathmat made quite a difference so clearly no effort put into cleaning. Cleaning was disappointing... dust etc. Was advertised as a premier one bedroom apartment... the word premier shouldn't be used

Have been coming to this hotel for decades and it has slowly deteriorated, needs some attention to detail and decent clean. Windows were grubby and bathroom and shower were mouldy.

This property is in great location. The room we had was shoddy. Missing door handles, dirty carpet, mouldy shower, walls need painting. Staff were friendly. Would have rated it higher if the property had been maintained better.

Excellent location. Our room had beach and marina views. Easy walking distance to Jetty Road. Room could have been cleaned better. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was hit and miss. We had our towels changed every day, which wasn’t necessary. We weren’t always given face cloths but were then given two hand towels. Tea and coffee wasn’t replenished. We were on level 3 and Friday and Saturday nights were a problem with noise until after 12, which coming from the bar beneath us. We were there for seven days.

We love the location and have stayed here and in the area several times. The property is a little tired but the views (as long as you have an oceanside room, make up for it. The biggest negative is the very poor wifi connection in the room. Works much better in the lobby. Shoutout to Arun who has always been very helpful and friendly.

The room was pretty standard, certainly nothing special. The room was outdated, with cheap and old furniture. When booking it read that we would have a king or queen bed, turns out it was a double bed where the base was two single beds pushed together, I complained at reception and they told me that this is a “hotel queen bed”. Can’t say I’ve ever heard that term before. The TV’s are small and old, no apps or anything just a DVD player. I asked if the hotel had any DVD’s at reception and they never got back to me. Id definitely never stay at this hotel again and would suggest to others to look elsewhere.

The Oaks at Glenelg is well located with helpful staff. The property is tired, and the room amenties vary greatly. In addition Fri/Sat nights can be disruptive with a late night pub venue on site that plays loud musci and it is not contolled by the hotel managment team. Dont book a a lower level floor

First time I’ve stayed here. Surprised by how run down it actually is. The bottom of the bathroom doors were starting to rot. The tvs are super small and not smart so no Netflix. The beach view is nice, balcony is nice. We asked for a king but got a queen. They said push to the two singles together, but, that’s still a queen size.

Have stayed here twice before without any issues. This time I had a stranger access my room with his key card meant for another room on a different floor!! I was coming out of the bathroom at the time! Front staff unsure how this could have occurred- all sorts of safety and risk concerns! Woman at the front desk was very kind and caring. Otherwise, this hotel is well located close to lots of great restaurants, bars and cafes.

All went well till we tried to extend the stay.. from then on what a debacle. Booked the room for a guest - needed to extend and when we called to do so were told we would be charged double what we had been paying as they would have to check them out then check them back in again.. WHAT! Anyway - we needed the room so gave credit card details for the extended stay. They didn’t re-book the room and hassled our guest for leaving their things in the room. Accepted that the room had been rebooked, but then when the guest returned from a day away were again told the room was not booked or paid for. RUBBISH! Then said they don’t take credit card details over the phone! They had been happy enough to do so earlier in the day though. Eventually took the details and let the guest back into the room. Honestly - get some English speaking staff and treat your customers better. Ridiculous to be paying over $300 per night and be treated like that. NOT GOOD ENOUGH.

Accessible to the airport so very convenient for an early flight. It’s an older building which is most notable in the bathroom - though it being maintained well and presenting clean makes a big difference in this case. Disappointing part was the 24 hour concierge who would have easily recognised how exhausted I was and didn’t assist with my heavy bags - he simply pointed to the baggage trolley in corner and told me to help myself… surely this is something I could have easily been helped with.

was given a room on level 1. i asked if the room was quiet and was told yes. we were above venue with music till 1.30am. we complained and they suggested we move at midnight! the room the offered was marginally better but just above the original room. why were we told it was a quiet room at check in?? never comong back.

The hotel was fine, nice enough. However I didn’t have a working safe. I notified staff on each of the days of my stay however the engineer did not once look at it like they said they would therefore I had to carry around my valuables The lack of service was frustrating

The Oaks Pier Plaza Glenelg is the perfect stay in the Adelaide beaches area. Easy to get to and from for activities in both the beaches and the city. The staff were fantastic and were able to adjust to the number of my requests.

Absolutely fabulous location! Ocean view is incredible and it's close walking distance to lots of shops and restaurants. Room was very comfortably equipped, including comfortable bed and pillows. Could have used a second chair in living room (just one small 2-seater), but admittedly there isn't a lot of space to add one. Shower could use some updating, at a minimum a grab bar as it's really difficult to climb into and there's nothing to grab to steady yourself, and it's a tight squeeze for tall people. Staff were absolutely terrific. Food in hotel restaurant was fine but service was marginal.

This is the only hotel I will stay at in Adelaide. I love it! It is in prime location on the beach. The hotel is always clean and I never have any complaints. The staff are amazing every time! Love them! Coast and The Pier restaurants at the hotel are also fantastic! I feel the price you pay to stay here is definitely very fair! See you next time!

We had drinks at multiple venues on site. The drinks were not cold enough. As in had to ask for ice in my drink as it was hot. Would have had more but not at that temperature. Outside tables were dirty and no one came out to clean them

A great location on the beach, with our room having an amazing view for the afternoon sunsets. The dining in the hotel was good too, if not confusing for staff with two entries though, we waited for quite some time before being seated the first time we arrived as they didn't know we were there. The food was great and staff were always friendly and helpful. The room itself we had was needing a little bit of love, especially the bathroom, where the lock was broken so we could not even shut the door to it... Staff at the reception were busy so didn't get the chance to mention this to them when leaving, only remembering it now! But it was a good stay, great location, accommodating staff and we'll be back.

Nice hotel with a great bar & restaurant attached. Very reasonable pricing. Easy parking underneath property at a cost of $22 per day. Staff obliged with a later check which was appreciated. Walking distance to shops & eateries, great position.

This place has everything you need for a short or long stay. The beach is beautiful, with amazing sunsets. There is a shopping area and lots to do. The restaurant in the hotel was really good as well. I would definitely stay here again

Fully equipped kitchen with washing machine. Bedroom a little tight, tv in the bedroom was tiny and in poor location for moving past it. Dinner at the Oaks bar is very basic, but convenient if you don’t want to venture out of the hotel.

Recommend the Oaks for a relaxing long weekend. Excellent location just a stone's throw from Jetty road and it's myriad restaurants, cafes and the tram to the city. The Oaks restaurant has very good breakfast options too. Only thing to note is that most restaurants in the area (and room service) stop serving at around 8:30pm so you may have to rely on Uber Eats if you check in late in the evening.
