The good: Superb location. The C6 bus from the airport stops right across from the hotel (get off 2 stops after the port, you will see Eurostars on your left just before the stop). Walking distance to the theatre, harbour and beach and the castle. Loads of lovely restaurants nearby and right opposite the Central Market. Could be improved: When I checked in, I was just handed my room key. No information whatsoever about the hotel (breakfast, sauna, local area). Quite a different experience from Eurostars Madrid. The sauna is great but there is nowhere to get changed or leave your clothes - ended up changing in the shower room and taking a sports bag into the sauna with me - all a bit odd. The gym is quite small and basic but appeared to be well used by guests. I would stay again - mainly for the location but would be good if a changing room or just lockers could be put near the sauna.

Very helpful staff. Nice attitude. Good location. There is a possibility after the check out to have a shower by the gym and they also have towels for you. Good beds, aircon, WiFi. Close to the Mercado, Airport bus just in front of the hotel.

It has no parking and no real amenities- a small gym and bar/cafe in the lobby, open for only a few hours an evening with plastic chairs - not used by anyone in the 7 days we were there. Very convenient for restaurants and bars/cafes in the area. All the staff were lovely, so polite and helpful. The room was spotless.

There was a strong cigarette smell on the 10th floor where my room was although the hotel doesn't allow smoking and has no balcony so people were careless and probably smoked in their rooms. The room was clean but the walls were a bit dirty and the bathroom door was damaged. The shower had a very low pressure as well as the tap! Otherwise very clean sheets and towels!

Jag brukar inte klaga, men detta är ett hotell under all kritik. Läget är super och mkt centralt. Men Sängarna är hårda. Hade både nackspärr alla dagar och vaknade upp minst 3-5 gånger för jag hade ont under natten. Förutom det så var det inte super fräscht. Det värsta var din att ac var trasig. Vilket gjorde att det kändes som att jag bodde i ett hotellrum i Grekland under högsäsong utan ac. Vi ringde och klagade en kväll och de enda svart var att centralfläkten var trasig och de inte kunde göra något. Vi fick öppna fönstret men de gjorde att vi hörde all trafik och nattliv utanför.

Hotellet va jätte fint, rummet var mindre än på bilderna. Sängen var ganska hård & kuddarna lika så. Sen läste vi att det skulle vara ljudisolerat? De var det inte. Det var som att ha ett fönster öppet. Så lyhört. Hörde folk skrika på gatorna, siriner körde förbi på natten samt bilar som drog iväg i världens fart. Blev ingen bra sömn men mysigt hotell & hjälpsam personal.

Hotel was central but noisy. Room was clean and comfortable but there was no tea/coffee facilities in the room. The shower does not have thermostatic valve so it went from luck warm to very hot while trying to shower, would be classed as dangerous. When we mentioned these to the reception staff in the morning they weren’t interested.

The hotel has a great location , very near the old town and only a short walk to the beachfront. Our problem was the noise at night. The details of the room on your site state that the bedrooms are sound proofed, well they are not . We had a room on the 5th floor at the front of the hotel. There is noise all night long, from the traffic, from unloading overnight into the central market and rubbish collection Lorry’s , I don’t dispute the windows are double glazed but they are not sound proof. The term “ bar” and “ lounge” are also a stretch. On our first night we came back to the hotel at 21.00 and was told the bar was closed and on the second night we had a glass of wine in the hotel at 19.30 and by 20.00 the person serving drinks had gone and the lights were out, as I say great location but if you stay here do not have a room overlooking the front

Not a 4 star hotel. More a 3 star. No hot water for 2 days. Very dated hotel, needs to be refurbished. Shower is a bathtub. Breakfast is good if you like only bread. Extremely disappointed for the price I paid. Avoid

AC didn’t work in both rooms I was given. Had to switch at 2AM when it was 30C inside the room. Elevator is broken past the 7th floor and extremely slow. Had to go up flights of stairs. Curtains block no light, bed was uncomfortable. Paper thin walls and noisy. No value for money. Manager didn’t have any interest in helping or compensating for these. Won’t stay at another Eurostars hotel after this, can’t recommend you do either.

Great stay for 3 nights. Had multiple problems with the key card that didn’t work on the door. Plate fell down from the ceiling once we open the door to the room. Was promised that the supervisor would contact us after check out. Heard nothing. Not a 4 star experience for us.

Staff was very nice and check-in was quick. They let us move into our room extra early. AC was nice and cold, bathroom clean, fridge was cold, nothing was broken. Location was right in front of central market and next to Metro. Overall amazing experience. Would book here again.

The hotel's location is good, and that's all there is that is good. Also, there are plenty other hotels with good locations that are better and cheaper in Alicante. Hotel is tired, staff are unfriendly, even the shower is over the bath, like the 70's!! Needs a serious refresh.

Fifth time we have stayed at The Lucentum. The staff on reception, in the dining room and housekeepers have been excellent - helpful and welcoming. The airport C6 bus drops off and picks up at the bus stop opposite the hotel which is so convenient. The hotel is located in the heart of the city and is very central for shopping, museums and beach which is just 10/15 minutes walk away. Surrounded by many choices for eating out.

Location of this hotel could not be better less than a 10 minute walk to famous boardwalk and a few more minutes to the beach. Also a short walk to the main shopping street. 100’s of nearby restaurants.

We booked this hotel on the recommendation of someone we met on a previous visit to Alicante. The hotel is conveniently placed in the centre of the city opposite the central market and the bus stop for the excellent C6 bus to the airport (1.90 euros for two if you are over 65!) Our request for a quiet room on an upper floor was met with a lovely room with a view of the castle and a glimpse of the sea. The reception staff were extremely knowledgeable, helpful and friendly a credit to the hotel. A small issue with the cable to the hairdryer in the bathroom was promptly resolved and the room cleanliness was excellent. We didn't have breakfast at the hotel as there are numerous cafes in the vicinity who will provide you with toast and coffee for 2.50 euros! Mish Mish is a favorite about 200 metres down the hill towards the harbour. For lunch a visit to IL Ponte or Sampa Picnic are top of our list. A visit to Alicante is not complete without a visit to El Gosto del Gourmet, excellent food and a very warm welcome from Nuri.
