Was clean and tidy. Very basic. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Staff where friendly. Close to the main streets. The bar closed quite early went back to the hotel for a drink on a Saturday night before bed and the bar had closed more and more hotel guests where also wanting to have a drink but couldn't. Where told they could make a tea or coffee.

Gutes Hotel für einen Kurztrip nach Amsterdam, es liegt sehr zentral. Das Personal ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind etwas klein, aber reichen für einen kurzen Aufenthalt auf jeden Fall aus. ! Für die Leute, die mit dem Auto anreisen,sollte bewusst sein, dass es keine hoteleigenen Parkplätze gibt. Man kann vor dem Hotel am Straßenrand für 7,50€ die Stunde, oder in einem nahegelegenen Parkhaus für 55€/24h parken. Das sollte man keineswegs vernachlässigen, da parken in amsterdam sehr sehr teuer ist.

Bar closed at 9pm even though it said 10pm on paperwork we were given. No tea and coffee facilities in room. Only in the upgraded rooms apparently. We were given a garden view. Wasn't much of a view and not a garden. Positives were, the hotel is central. Clean, staff friendly. I would stay again.

Rooms are ok, a little outdated, and no fridge. We were very upset that we stay there 5 nights and our room did not get cleaned at all even though we requested it. The front desk staff were very nice and did apologize about the incident. On the positive side it has an excellent location, close to stores and main plaza.

I was very happy with my stay at ibis Amsterdam City Stopera. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained, with housekeeping carried out daily to a good standard. The location is excellent. It’s around a 15-minute walk to Amsterdam Central Station and roughly the same distance to the heart of the city’s nightlife, which made getting around very easy. At the same time, the area itself is calm and pleasant. There are also plenty of nearby amenities, including supermarkets and pharmacies (such as Boots), which was very convenient during the stay. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel and would happily choose to stay here again in the future.

This is an ok hotel. Clean. Basic. Breakfasts very good and lots of options. Main negative is that bathroooms smell somewhat sewer like. We stayed for 6 days and this persisted in both rooms that we rented

For the most part staff was friendly. I did find blood on the back of my pillow that soaked into the pillow. The next morning I brought this to their attention and all that was said is “and your just telling us about this now.” Not even a we’re sorry.

The hotel is good, the rooms are small and the bathroom is basic, but the bed is the best part – extremely comfortable. If I had to choose this accommodation again, it would be for this reason alone. Although it is advertised as being in the center of Amsterdam, it actually takes a 15-minute walk to reach the station, and Dam Square is about 20 minutes away, making the location rather inconvenient, especially since there are no restaurants or bars nearby. However, there are two supermarkets just a 2-minute walk away. Considering the very high prices in Amsterdam, this hotel can definitely be a good solution, particularly thanks to the breakfast service: for €18 per person (while in other hotels it can cost up to €25), you can enjoy a rich buffet, which makes it much more convenient compared to eating outside. Just think that two coffees at the counter cost €7.20. Another strong point is the staff – absolutely lovely and always very helpful. Overall, it was a good stay, though the location was a bit disappointing.

Good location, a little walk away from the lively parts of Amsterdam but the benefit is that it’s in a quiet area at night. Really comfortable beds! Only negative is that the ground floor windows need net curtains, especially those that look into the courtyard. We had to have our curtains closed the whole time as those sitting in the courtyard and those inside the dining area could see straight through into our room.

I personally really enjoyed my stay at ibis. When staying at a hotel i look for cleanliness,comfortable bed friendly staff and location on all those requirements were met and some exceeded in my opinion. My experience of the staff was positive. Raoul who was on the front desk with was direct, but very helpful providing me with details of Amsterdam, and where the local shops were i found Raya also really bubbly. These were the names i mentioned but i found all staff friendly smiling and saying hello without being prompted. I think their job is emotionally very stressful having to deal with many different personalities some with unrealistic expectations for a budget hotel. To do that with a smile is very pleasant, and added to my joyful experience. My thanks go out to them the management for running a professional team, and the rest of the back room staff, cleaners etc who rarely get mentioned. The bed was so comfortable i will now upgrade my bed. The only downside to my stay was breakfast buffet very expensive, very limited selection of cooked food. Bacon, hash browns, beans and scrambled egg i think, whatever very, very expensive and limited selection. I would advice find somewhere else nearby. reading some of the negative reviews i wondered if they stayed in the same hotel. I would measure positive against the negative and make my decision based on that. That apart i would definitely recommend 4 to 5 stars on everything except breakfast 1 star i'm afraid

Tuvimos una experiencia extremadamente negativa en este hotel. El 25 de octubre robaron la bolsa de mi tía dentro del área del desayuno, mientras estábamos sentados en la mesa. Éramos cuatro personas y aun así alguien pudo tomar la bolsa sin que nadie del personal lo notara. Lo más grave es que, al reportarlo, el gerente no nos brindó ningún tipo de apoyo. Nos hizo esperar, luego nos dijo que no podían revisar las cámaras sin que primero “accionáramos a la policía”, a pesar de que había una cámara justo frente a nuestra mesa y solo había otra pareja desayunando cerca. Además, el gerente nos comentó que “en Ámsterdam nunca estás completamente seguro, ni dentro del hotel”, lo cual nos pareció una respuesta totalmente inapropiada e irresponsable. Teníamos un vuelo y nos tuvimos que ir, pero dejamos nuestros datos de contacto y jamás nos llamaron, ni dieron seguimiento al caso. La bolsa contenía documentos personales, tarjetas, dinero, lentes y un celular. Después de enviar un correo formal al hotel explicando todo, nunca recibimos respuesta. Staff wasn’t very helpful and welcoming. I was checking in very late about 11pm. First arrived poker face asked me what it is?! Then go through the check in process, whole way through only I can remember he try to sell me the breakfast. Anyway I was starving as didn’t have anything after lunch. I walked around no any close by restaurants or shop open, I asked him he only said to me order online no more any information then I gave up I just bought the crisp and water from him. Then next day I just see the poster i can order pizza from them 24/7 I’m not very happy. Room is not very big and spacious just match with what you pay and it is clean I think only the sink table was a bit dusty and you can hear the people talking on the corridor and open and close doors. During day time the lift was repaired so quite noisy at that time. Two supermarket (street away)and coffee shop close by. About 20mins walk to centre. Because of the experience I don’t think I will go back.

15mins walk from Amsterdam Centraal. Suddenly a very quiet residential neighbourhood. Minutes walk from several museums including NEMO and Maritime museum. New building and very nice clean rooms. Helpful staff. This was an semi-emergency last-minute booking from an unsuitable one in Damrak. Very expensive possibly due to being last-minute but far, far better and turned an unpleasant stay into a very pleasant one. Again, clean and very quiet and safe.

Excellent value for the price. Very walkable to NEMO, Maritime Museum, starting point for many excursions, and short walk to Dam Square or central station. Shower sparkling clean. Nice view of canal. Buffet breakfast was eggs, sausage/bacon depending on the day, breads, yogurts, salad, rolls, ham, salami, cheese, fried potato rounds and beans in sauce.

El hotel limpio y moderno, las personas que atienden lo hacen de muy buena manera, el hotel está bien ubicado y es fácil llegar a cualquier parte de la ciudad desde él. Cerca hay un muy buen restaurante donde almorzar o cenar y eso compensa esa falta del restaurante, que sólo ofrece desayuno.

What an amazing team! Everyone was so pleasant and helpful. And that was the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had during any trip to Europe. Hotel was just perfect. Loved the little modular bathrooms and the beds were incredibly comfortable.
