Leonardo Royal Hotel Amsterdam

Fijn verblijf. Goede faciliteiten en aardig personeel. De kamer, en de rest van het hotel was schoon. De gym is sowieso een 10 . Heel netjes en goed apparatuur.

For a 4 star hotel, I expect the rooms to be clean and in a good overall condition. We had multiple rooms and all showers were full of chalk. In every of these rooms one part of the furniture were in "heavily used" or simply damaged (a layer of wood from the nightstand has come off / the leather of the stool has "holes and deep scratches in it / ...). In one of the rooms the sink in the shower was really clogged up. Even after multiple cleaning services, the sink remains clogged. After a few days the breakfast has been moved from the very welcoming breakfast room to the confrence rooms. The reason for this hasn't been communicated. Just a short message with an "Sorry" for the inconvenience has been published. Eating in these conference rooms was very uncomfortable. Also the hygiene standards (like the sneeze guards over the food) were simply ignored for that time. They have a modern elevator system. You have a panel which is touch based. You select the floor you want to go to and the touch panel tells you which elevator to take (A, B, C or D). However, if you are on the 16th floor or something you sometimes have to wait for more than 5 minutes to the get the elevator. One of my colleagues actually waited 10 minutes ... there is no sign for a stairway but on the other hand, going to the 10th floor by stairs every single day?

Very excellent fitness area. Good breakfast offer. Nice room with enough space. Excellent sustainability process.

Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet, tolles Zimmer. Einzig der Spa/Sauna-Bereich war eher enttäuschend. Zu klein und lieblos.

Conveniently located on major metro line. Really fabulous breakfast buffet. Nice bar area downstairs. Restaurant is excellent. Only downside is that the immediate area will be interesting in a year or so once the construction is completed. Bring a bathing suit if you want to use the sauna .

The hotel is a 2 min walk to the metro station and a 15 min ride to Amsterdam Centraal. It's in a quiet neighbourhood (no shops, restaurants in the vicinity). It's a nice place to stay if you don't mind the commute. Rooms are clean, nice and well-equipped. Restaurant has some yummy food. My complaint is that the elevators are really loud. I couldn't hear the metro but can hear the elevators going up and down. It's not for people who need silence to sleep.

schöne und großzügige Einrichtung - Empfang, Bar, Speisesaal (nur die vielen Kunstblumen entsprachen nicht so meinem Geschmack). Die Gym und Sauna Einrichtung konnten wir leider nicht nutzen, da diese um 20 Uhr schon geschlossen wurden. Eine gute Idee fand ich die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten an Getränken und Imbissen am Eingang als auch den Wasserspender. Auch der Umgang mit den Reinigungsmöglichkeiten (nach Bedarf und fixe Zeiten) empfand ich einen guten Zugang. Wir haben auch sehr gut geschlafen und kommen gerne wieder.

Alles super, maar van de prijs vd hotelovernachting zou t parkeren gratis moeten zijn, nog eens 27,- voor 18 uurtjes

Hotel bom, quarto e banheiro grandes, camas confortáveis. Fiquei em um quarto para 3 pessoas e super atendeu. O hotel é bem moderno. Fica afastado do centro, porém, possui uma estação de metro ao lado (coisa de 2 minutos andando) e em 15min +- você está na Central Station, super prático. Possui bar/restaurante, academia. Sem pontos negativos. Me hospedaria novamente.

C'est la deuxième fois que cet hôtel est trés douteux au niveau de la propreté. A force de ne pas nettoyer les chambres, il semblerait qu'ils ne sachent plus faire. Tache de sang sur le matelas, sans alese, donc visible sous le drap, toilettes non nettoyées à mon arrivée, vraiment pas terrible

Cleaning didn’t take place till after 2 days of chasing staff and complaining , so the room was not cleaned for two nights. Nothing to do if you walk you need to take a train which is conveniently across the road

Værelset lidt nusset. Fedte fingre mange steder, ikke konfrontabel seng og senge linned. Der var ingen rengøring/ oprydning på værelset. Sengen blev ikke redt, ingen daglig rene håndklæder og skraldespanden blev ikke tømt Der var ikke små badeværelses artikler tilgængelig. Som balsam, vatpinde osv. Der var ingen minibar på værelset Der kunne ikke streames på tv'et hvilket var lidt kedeligt om aftenen. Det var et stort plus at metroen er lige over på den anden side af vejen. Området omkring hotellet er sjusket, beskidt og slum.

the cleanliness was very poor. I requested room cleaning, but even after it was done, the room was still dirty. The bed sheets were not changed and remained unclean, which caused discomfort during the night. However, I would like to mention that the reception staff were very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the cleanliness alone seriously affected my stay.

There was issue with the drains and sewers. Water was hardly going down the drain in both shower and bathroom. So it was very unpleasant experience in the room. However, the hotel breakfast was amazing and made us forget about how bad the room was.

Rundum ein guter Aufenthalt. Die Sauberkeit war allerdings fragwürdig... (Die Dusche hat leider sehr gestunken und war ziemlich verschimmelt und die Toilette war ganz und gar nicht sauber)

In general the hotel is really nice. Staff was really helpful and added one extra bed to the room because of our request. However they said I have to pay extra 45€ during check out even though I have already paid for the extra bed and breakfast during check in. I asked what is it for and then they checked everything and said everything is okay so I’m wondering what if I didn’t ask about this transaction. Breakfast is excellent. Close to metro station but located in the quiet area. Room wasn’t very good cleaned. I could feel bad smell in the shower in the first day. We requested cleaning service on the 3rd day. I guess they just changed our towels and throw the garbage. They didn’t bring new soap/shampoo bottle and didn’t clean the floor. So this place is fine but definitely could be better

We traveled as 2 couples and split a suite between us. The room was massive and awarded us the space to walk around and relax without feeling too crowded. It was a very short walk to the Metro that took you to the city center within 15 minutes. Medro down to Johan Cruyff Arena was also easy and fast, so anyone going to events there would do well to stay here. Staff were kind and accommodating, helping us with food deliveries in the evenings. Perfect for a long weekend trip in Amsterdam. Would stay again.

Ausstattung ok, leider nur ein kleiner Föhn an einem festen Kabel. Keine besonderen Beauty-Artikel oder verschiedene Duschgels o.ä.; Fenster nicht zu öffnen, Frischluft nur durch Klimaanlage; Zimmer im 16. Stock sehr klein. Alles in allem viel zu teuer für das, was man geboten bekommt (in Bezug auf die Übernachtung). Das Frühstück war sehr umfangreich und lecker.

Comfy bed great shower clean room

Modern property next to a metro stop. Not much else around for tourists. Room was very small and hot - unable to control the AC yourself!

I was assigned room 924 at first and it was by the elevators. There is a very loud noise when elevators go up and down, a very high pitch wind noise. I told the Hotel Reception the following day and was able to move to a different room. Hotel Reception told me it’s an known issue and the elevators will be repaired. Ask not to be by elevators if possible!

Es war schade, dass das Fenster nicht zu öffnen war. Bei einem Dreibettzimmer wäre frische Luft sehr angenehm gewesen. Frühstück und Anbindung zur Stadt waren super. Parken war ab Freitagabend bis Sonntag, vor dem Hotel, umsonst. Leider wird da aber nicht drauf hingewiesen, man muss es selbst herausfinden.

Hotel is located right next to a metro station and is generally in good condition. But the architects really screwed up regarding the elevators. In the rooms near the elevators you have loud noise every time they move... Make sure you ask for a room far far far away from the elevators. The staff know this and they are regularly moving guests around...

Couldn’t fault the hotel staff . Check in was super quick and so friendly . After the long drive., the efficiency was appreciated. We offered a free upgrade to top floor nicer room. So very happy . Small shop was also well stocked and very convenient. Alittle pricey, but easy to use and useful. Only small issue was out room was near the lift, and life noise could be heard throughout the day and night. So if looking for a peaceful room, ensure you are away from the lifts . I’ve sitill given 5 stars, as was very happy all round . And only 14 mins from the city and the station is next to the hotel.

We was checked in early and checked out late and also got upgraded all for free. The room was spotless, cleaned and great views. For my first time in Amsterdam, Leonardo royal hotel was fantastic!!

Before arrival I had emailed with the staff at the hotel about parking, and that was great service, but from there things went downhill pretty quickly. We arrived 9 pm (as per the deal we made with the hotel before arrival) and was barely greeted by front desk. The woman working there, her name starts with L, never looked me in the eye during the conversation, made me feel horrible about asking simple questions, ie. "where is breakfast served?" and "what have I not yet payed for?", and then made me feel as if it was my fault their credit card mashines weren't functioning. I then suggested paying in cash, which was not possible, so she (rolling her eyes at me) made me put down a cash deposit. The next day, when I went to pay the bill and get my deposit back, she yet again made me feel like a nuisance. The only thing good about their service, was the option for online check-out so that I didn't have to talk to anyone again. They advertise an online chat function (supposedly live 24/7) and I wrote there that our aircon wasn't working properly. No one ever answered, even though it was registered as "seen" during the night. During our three night stay only one employee actually recognised our existence and smiled back at us when walking by. In our room the bathroom had some issues. More water came out on top of the rain shower than through it, and the hand soap needed two hands to get out of its container. Breakfast and parking were okay.

Der Service im Restaurant und an der Rezeption lässt sehr zu wünschen übrig. Der Roomservice (Sauberkeit) ebenfalls. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut. Die Lage für Öffis auch super.

Excelente hotel, mas a informação de que está ao lado da estação do metrô não é correta. A estação está sendo construída. Hotel longe da estação central e das atrações.

Such a great hotel. Clean, modern, spacious. Snack bar 24/7. Best breakfast! We had a room on the 17th floor and had big windows. Was pretty far from the center and the metro across the street wasn’t operating so we needed to take a car about 15 minutes into town each day. Nothing outside the hotel to do so had to travel. Was a great place to come back to though!

Stort og moderne hotell som ligger litt utenfor sentrum. Har bodd her før, og da var det ingen problem at hotellet lå litt avsides - takket være Metrostasjonen som ligger rett utenfor. Denne gangen derimot, var stasjonen under ombygging - og vi måtte derfor gå til neste stasjon som tok 15-17 minutter på en utrolig kjedelig vei gjennom et industriområde. Dette er noe hotellet burde informere om ved innsjekk synes jeg. Frokosten hadde tapt seg litt siden sist. Sist hadde de smoothies og mye god drikke etc. Nå var det kun saft. Vi kom en time før frokosten stengte begge dager, og det var tomt for veldig mye. Pluss for at de steker omeletter. Og pannekakemaskinen er en hit! Denne var dog i ustand på dag 2 - til stor skuffelse for datteren min. Renholdet på hotellet er bra, og du velger selv om du vil at rommet skal rengjøres. Vi la inn at vi ønsket vask via en QR kode som hang i gangen, og det fungerte fint. Ingen restauranter, butikker eller lignende i nærheten. Nærmeste er Mc Donalds ca 15 min gange unna. Må nevne at det er Veldig hyggelig betjening i resepsjonen(!) - og de var behjelpelige med å oppbevare kofferter for oss på avreisedagen. Alt i alt er fint opphold, men enda bedre når Metro stasjonen åpner igjen.

Excellent location for Amsterdam. A little out of the centre but directly opposite the tram stop so in Amsterdam quickly. Room clean. Staff friendly. Well decorated and stocked bar. Only fault I would say which stopped me going 5-star was the price of breakfast but can easily eat out.

The hotel is right next to a metro stop. It is very easy to travel to downtown Amsterdam and the airport. The breakfast was excellent. The hotel is very modern and well maintained. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful.

Right next to Overamstel station, which makes it really easy to go anywhere in the city.

We stayed at this hotel for four nights. It's a large establishment with a high volume of guests and numerous conferences taking place, which is quite impressive. On the downside, it's located away from Amsterdam Central. However, the metro station is conveniently right across the street. The surrounding area is somewhat dry, primarily consisting of industries and other hotels. For nightlife and hangout spots, you'll need to head to the central area, which is a bit far from the hotel.

The check in counter is oddly placed, the queue ends up or go right by the entrance, so there was slightly chaos when we arrived. The smallest hotel room I've ever lived in. You could feel a gap/difference in levels in the queen size bed, wasn't very comfy from start. There was no conditioner for the hair or no body lotion when you took a shower, this is outrageous in my world. And the shower leaked out water in the rest of the bathroom. The elevator system felt underdimensioned, never seen so few elevators in a hotel before. I also tried the online check in, but I still ended up in the counter, and no advantages of doing that at all from the start. I liked the chef on the breakfast buffet that made omelettes, and the location that was close to the metro. But that's it. All the personnel was nice and friendly.
