Good stay in the hotel. The parking was a bit expensive for 2 days but it was convenient. I had a small problem with electricity the first night but it was sorted for tge second night.

The room was pretty good. The extra bed worked perfect for kiddo. Main bed was pretty comfortable as well and pillows were decent. Stupid open concept shower that is popular these days allows a lot of water out. Decent sized room for sure. Area is nice enough but a little less convenient than expected as the metro really only runs to central and a lot of our plans were south of there. So we ended up walking to tram and using it. But it was nice to be on a quiet canal with a few boats going by and being able to sit outside and enjoy a drink looking at the water/boats. Would stay here again.

The hotel is lovely, room was a good size and I loved the nespresso machine and pukka tea. Unfortunately I found the pillows were not very good. The gym is small but well appointed. Location is ok- 20mins from centre - 10mins walk to the metro from the hotel. Breakfast was great. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

On edge of town. Not suitable for people with limited mobility.15-20 walk to train station. Easy access to central Amsterdam. Limited restaurants. One small superette 20 min walk. Quiet. Nice bar area. Small restaurant.

As instalações precisam de reforma, pois o hotel é antigo. Os quartos são apertados e a limpeza ficou a desejar. Quando entramos no quarto, haviam papéis higiênico usados no cesto do banheiro que não foram recolhidos. Não há frigobar e nem chaleira para chá ou café.

It was a good location from public transport. But my body got eaten up in my room and I reported it (included photos) and there was no response/solution. I really liked the hotel but I wouldn’t recommend staying at a place where you wake up with bites and welts on your body.

The room itself felt quite cramped. Although the staff we interacted with were friendly and courteous, overall service fell short. After returning one evening to find our room untouched, we had to contact the front desk for fresh towels and tidying. Throughout our stay, small but important details were repeatedly overlooked—used mugs sat for days, tea condiments weren’t restocked, and basic items like toilet paper and tissues weren’t replenished. We’ve stayed at a nearby hotel with the same star rating and similar pricing, and the experience there was noticeably more comfortable and well-maintained.

Unser Zimmer war dreckig, die Wand war bespritzt mit Kaffee Flecken und der Boden war nicht gesaugt. Nach Reklamation bekamen wir ein neues Zimmer im 10. Stock, das nach Rauch roch. Die Kaffeebar war nicht aufgefüllt und sogar noch leere Zuckerpäckchen lagen dort.

The property was ok. However, we had a leak in our sink which they fixed immediately and the ac was not cooling. They tried several times to fix it but it never cooled. They didn’t offer a room change . :-(

Amsterdam has been our third city during our trip through Europe. Mercure Amsterdam City was the perfect place to rest after all the tiredness of the previous cities. The hotel is super comfortable, it feels like coming home after our adventures in Amsterdam. We traveled with a small child and stayed in a family room. The room is super spacious, with a beautiful view of the river. The bathroom was modern and clean with everything you need. The hotel is eco friendly . It has a Nespresso coffee machine with water and other complementary soft drinks. The hotel was a bit far from the city. You can walk about 15 minutes to the train station or take a taxi into the city. We only ate in the restaurant once, the food was good but in my opinion a bit overpriced with a very limited menu. The restaurant atmosphere was nice. The hotel is not very family-friendly, they do not have areas for children. It's just a good place to rest after a long day of activities. If you are traveling with small children, be sure to bring milk or anything you need from outside. They do not sell milk at their stores which is open 24 hours. They have some cold food and drinks but not a big variety of items.

The room was pretty good. The extra bed worked perfect for kiddo. Main bed was pretty comfortable as well and pillows were decent. Poor lighting in room and bathroom. Glad I don’t have makeup to apply, I’m sure if my wife was travelling with me she would have commented. Lack of power sockets - phone is plugged into guest socket should be plugged in below / behind bed. Light switches for bathroom should be my bathroom door and not 2 metres away by front door.

The air conditioning was very loud but did not actually cool anything. The breakfast buffet was very nice. The room could have been cleaner, silicon edges were dirty and hairs on the carpet. Very good wifi.

The room was great. We had a nice view, but the check-in process was unacceptable. I had done the pre check in like they suggested. When we got to the hotel at 10A, we didn’t expect to get into our room right away, but check in was at 3P and it was after 4P before we could actually get in. So disappointed and despite everything else being great, first impressions are important and I can’t say we’d ever go back to this property.

A little bit further from Amsterdam center than realised but easily accessible via the metro. Hotel and staff were brilliant and lovely that hotel was quiet at night. Great facilities and staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Kindly upgraded room for free due to birthday and also allowed us to check in slightly earlier than expected. Would recommend

We were there 2 nights and I didn’t find the staff as friendly as all the other hotels we stayed at in The Netherlands. On the second night, we got back to the hotel after a long day out at 10:30 and found that our key didn’t work . When we went to the desk the girl (unfriendly) told us that she had blocked us out because we hadn’t paid our city tax of approx 28 euros. If they had told us this upon arrival, we would have paid it. Blocking us out of our room was completely uncalled for. I would not recommend this hotel or ever go there again.

The restaurant facility was something of a novelty for me. I found the entrance was roped off so and I had to take a circulators route around the bar, when I finally got into it I was bemused that the food was laid out but without any staff. I finally tracked down a waitress who explained that it was essentially a help yourself buffet which you ate in the bar area. Once I had this clear it worked really well for me as I detest sitting in a restaurant waiting to be served. The hotel does however need to explain the system to incoming guests.

The property was really nice. The only downfall was the replenishment of coffee facilities within the room. A phone call had to be made for clean cups and coffee pods. The hotel is situated in a quiet location, however another downfall is that their ‘bar menu’ is the only food they have outside of the buffets. This was inconvenient for us as the buffet option was not suitable.
