Mid. Se service is horrible. Plus, the hotel offers you drinks if the house kippers don't go. They will give you a ticket which is worth two drinks but if you go get them the asian waiters from the bar will call you dirty and make fun of you for using the ticket and be rude if you don't order food. Also, you can’t wait for your food in the lobby if you order something through an app, they told us the lobby area is only for waiting for taxis and it closes at 12. Not a great experience overall the customer service sucks.

No gym in the hotel although advertised Breakfast is poor View was dreadful

The staff do need to be more visible in the lobby area as they tend to hide behind the check in desk. The log]Bay Area does not seem to have any vibe and is somewhat boring visually and practically. You should have some lively music and decorations as the plain facade is plain,from my years of living hotels. Having some complimentary drinks would help drive more footfall in the lobby and the shop in the corner does not justice to any resident as they can purchase the same goods outside. Overall the rooms were fantastic and gym in the basement needs some ventilation,as I felt claustrophobic in the small confined space. You should maybe invest in converting one of the meeting rooms into a fully staffed gym,so that you will attract more patrons as the odd hours of openings of the gym are wierd for a hotel to have. Will definitely come back and hopefully you will be able to offer me an upgrade which was not even offered by check in staff.

Great location, clean, spacious rooms. Everything was perfect apart from we was looking forward to our 'green stay' which offered us a free drink at the bar to be told they no longer provide this although Expedia told us different. Maybe a update on Expedia is needed. Would definitely visit again :-)

Excellent room, extremely helpful staff, very high quality breakfast. We will definitely stay here again. If you choose to have a green stay (no room service/sheet and towel changes), you need to request replenishment of the coffee service in your room. But every day you have a green stay the hotel gives you a voucher for a free drink of your choice in the bar. A very nice feature.

Had a fabulous short stay. Room was clean, bed comfortable and the breakfast buffet superb. Love the green stay, where you get a free drink in the bar for any day you don't have housekeeping. Excellent location with tram and bus stops nearby. Will stay again and would recommend.

muy buen hotel, bien mantenido, el cuarto amplio la recepcion bien atendida y atentos a lo que se necesitara, el cuarto cuenta con todo lo necesario, baño bien, toallas bien, bata de baño, el hotel esta muy cerca de todo caminando museos, tiendas, buen servicio, el desayuno es bueno aunque lo considero un poco caro para lo que es y el cafe no tan bueno, el gimnasio es como compartido y tiene horarios raros de operacion

All the staff were friendly and the property was clean. The hotel is situated on a main road, but we didn’t have a problem with any noise as it was inward facing so can’t comment on other rooms, but wouldn’t imagine it being that bad as the windows were pretty insulated. Location is about 5 mins away from the start of a main shopping street and in front of a bus stop that takes you to the airport (route 397). They had a good selection of hot and cold choices for breakfast which was enough for our 4 night city break. We weren’t told on check in but you need to book the gym in advance if you want to use it and it only opens from 8am (for those early risers).

The property was good and the stay was pleasant. My only issue was the room was not cleaned once whilst we stayed. You had to ask or wait for 4 days. I would definitely recommend staying and I would again.

Checkin people were polite and informative. Refrigerator in room was nice to have. Bathroom wasn’t very clean - a couple of hairs on the wall, but it smelled like urine. The bedroom area was clean and comfortable for the price. Location was fantastic. Short walk to beautiful sights, restaurants, and casino

Wij verbleven 2 nachten in het hotel. De eerste nacht zaten we in kamer 119. Toen we binnen kwamen rook het vreemd. In de loop van de dag maar vooral de volgense ochtend stonk het zo erg dat ik moest kokhalsen van de rioollucht. Ik vermoed dat men op de hoogte was van deze lucht omdat er overal geurpotjes geplaatst waren. Het personeel (dat overigens heel vriendelijk was)lostte het probleem vlot op en we kregen voor de laatste nacht een andere kamer. Omdat men willens en wetens toch deze kamer verhuurde ben ik van mening dat dit heel slecht is en dat men beslist geen punten hiermee gescoord heeft.

The cleaning schedule was unclear. First it was after 4 nights and then it was you have to request cleaning after 4 nights and even when requested it was not cleaned until I requested again. The staff as friendly and helpful except for the cleaning issue.

El check in fue pésimo, esperamos más de 30mins porque estaban registrando a un grupo muy grande. Todo el personal del lobby (2 personas) estaba dedicado a este grupo, sin atender a ningún otro huésped. La habitación era más pequeña de lo especificado en la descripción.

Me and my partner stayed here twice, once in October for our anniversary then again in December. The hotel is amazing and the staff really went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They upgraded us to a suite on our second stay and the room was outstanding with lovely views onto Leidsplein. 5* trip. Massive thanks to Skylar for your service and gift.

The heating system did not work and we had 24 degress in the room. We fixed it ourselves...

We were unfortunately roomed at level 1. Just next to the main road Stadhouderskade. It gets really noisy with party goers after midnight.

The hotel is very tired. The bathrooms need to be replaced and the king size bed leaves no space so we had to upgrade to get our suitcases in. The shower had a rusty heating rail and the windows face into a courtyard of other windows. We stayed in this hotel 15 years ago and it looks just as bad. We had to book this hotel because our tour we taking, use the hotel. We arrived two days earlier.

Frühstück war sehr gut. Für eine Städtetour eine perfekte Lage. Wir hatten allerdings ein Zimmer zur Straße und schlafen mit offenem Fenster war leider aufgrund des Lärms nicht möglich.

Excellent location in central Amsterdam with easy access to transit (including to and from the airport). Easy to walk pretty much anywhere in the main tourist areas especially the museum district. The rooms were comfortable and staff were very welcoming. The only issue for me was that you couldn't adjust the thermostat in the room and so it never cooled down enough (personal preference though so may not be an issue for everyone). Overall would recommend!

Room was small and bare, like sleeping in a shoe box with no decoration. Bathroom was absolutely tiny. Barely room to get in with the door open. Would not stay here again.

We had a complementry breakfast gifted as it was our anniversay but unfortunately it kind of went down hill from there...second dsy there was no hot water for showers! So we had to go off to our booked activities for that day feeling a bit unclean! We booked breakfast for our check out morning and it was so cold . Beans cold. Tomatoes cold. Eggs cold. When ypur paing 40 euros for two people to wat breakfast ypu expect part of it to be warm and edible, such a shame as the firat breakfast was lovely which is why we booked fof check out morning to make things easier. When we checked out, we wasnt asked how our stay was ...so i took it upon myself to let the lady at reception know, the the hotel was very noisy, you could hwar others shpwering and using the toilet in the room above us . Lota of loud bangs during the night which woke us startled. The recpetionist clearly couldnt care less, she was unhelpful and didnt want to converse more than she had to! Overall i was completely underwhelmed with the hotel and am upset that we wernt even told about the hot water via a text or phonecall before jumping in to a freezing cold shower and being completely confused. To find out when we reported it reception had recieved many reports already!

This place is too expensive for me! But you won my business for four nights because Gaia agreed that the hotel would store my large bicycle case while I was cycling in the country for two weeks. All staff were very helpful in meeting my needs with the bike and case, and with other requests.

We stayed three nights at NH Amsterdam Leidseplein with my wife and 3-year-old daughter. The location is fantastic. It is very close to a tram stop, walking distance to museums, restaurants, shops, luxury stores, and the canal tours leave right across the street. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. We paid about CAD 1100 to 1200 total for three nights but were placed on the basement floor (minus 1). The main elevators do not reach that floor, so we had to use a back elevator that felt like a service elevator. One night it was not working, and with a stroller, having to carry it up the stairs was far from ideal. The room doors also did not have soft-close mechanisms, so we heard loud bangs at night whenever a door shut, which often scared our daughter. On the positive side, breakfast was excellent. There were plenty of fresh, tasty options, good coffee, and the breakfast staff were attentive and welcoming. Overall, while we truly loved the hotel’s location and breakfast experience, we were disappointed by the room placement and the elevator issue. Based on this room experience, I am honestly not sure if we would choose to stay here again. A travel tip: use Uber over local taxis in Amsterdam. It’s cheaper and, unlike in Canada, we didn’t need a car seat for rides from the train station to the hotel or from the hotel to the airport, making travel with a child much easier.

We had a wonderful stay, perfect location. Tram from central station no more than 10 mins. Far enough away from the "busy" area but within easy reach. The reception staff were wonderful and very friendly and helpful. Bars restaurants, cafe, shops, museums and boat trips all within short walking distance. I would defiantly stay again.

Despite those rain and cloudy days, Amsterdam was great as always. The NH is a very good hotel and well located, closed to Leidsenplein bars and restaurants. I will come back toi the city and to this hotel, for sure!

It’s convenient if you plan to go to the museums but it’s a bit far away from the central canal area. Transport is nearby tho. I would not rate this a 4 star hotel as the room condition and facilities are old and not clean enough. It would meet expectation as 3 star but definitely not a 4 star.

Stayed here for 3 nights and it was ideal for our main attractions. A short walk to the Rijksmuseum and also the Van Gogh. The walk to Anne Frank house was just over a kilometre as was our canal tour. It’s a great place to walk and discover and we found some nice restaurants but even in November it’s best to reserve a table at night as it’s not as easy as I imagined to just walk up. The hotel and our room was very spacious and we had breakfast also on our last morning. It was a very nice buffet and possibly should have included breakfast in our stay although my daughter did find some nice options in the Jordaan area.

Staff was excellent. Location was great. I wish the restaurant was better and was open for lunch. I wish that there was a better option for breakfast besides a buffet.
