Backstage Hotel Amsterdam

I am writing to share my experience during my recent visit to your hotel. We checked in at 14:30 but unfortunately checked out just one hour later. The room was extremely dirty, and the noise level was unbearable. Due to these issues, we were unable to stay at the property.

Great location, near the best tourist attractions

Absolutely great place to stay. The vibe was good; rock ‘n’ roll, 60s and record memorabilia. BUT there’s no elevator which we knew when we booked it. But we are in our 60s since seven days and we’re on the fourth floor and it was a very narrow and steep spiral staircase. Really didn’t like that, but most of the staff was awesome and it really is a cool vibe.

Room was clean and spacious, however very noisy as we were underneath the reception/bar, and next to our room was the shared toilet and shower for guests who didn't have one in their room. The doors were slamming shut loudly every time used. Definitely needed earplugs but i find them uncomfortable to sleep with

Really enjoyed my stay here. It’s definitely more bare-bones, but super cute and they fully commit to the backstage theme, which I liked. I was barely in the room anyway, so it worked great for me. Just a heads up: the bathroom and shower are shared, but you do have a private sink in the room, plus towels, which made it easy. The location was the biggest win for me — very walkable and close to everything I wanted. The staff were really friendly and super nice, and they made the stay feel really welcoming. I had a great time and would definitely stay here again.
