Close to Centraal station which is great, but close to what feels very seedy. Front staff was great, room was clean but just. Small room and limited services. Max stay 1 night if you just want an ok place close to the train station. Not a nice area to walk around or eat.

Sehr nettes und freundliches Personal. Schnell zu Fuß erreichbar von Amsterdam Centraal. Metro und Tram-Haltestellen in direkter Umgebung. Betten für mein persönliches Empfinden zu weich, aber ich bin auch eher der Typ Betonplatte. Während meines Aufenthalts war leider der Aufzug defekt, und das Treppenhaus etwas klein und eng. Aber solche Dinge passieren eben manchmal. Das Personal war sehr zuvorkommend und hat Hilfe beim Tragen des Gepäcks angeboten.

Not well marked outside so hard to find. Coffee/tea/hot water available in lobby and sometimes a bowl of fruit. Elevator is security type so I felt safe. Ibis Styles is supposed to include breakfast. This location did not. Everywhere of hotel is small. Very little space in room to put suitcases or stuff you need to use. No shower curtain so floor gets wet all the way past sink to toilet. Showerhead was placed up high...not everyone is so tall! Towel rack is also way up high. Provide a stepstool for us short people!!! Only thing "upscale" was quality of toilet paper. But holder is placed horizontally and open in the direction you pull it so roll constantly falls onto floor. Stupid!!! Holder opening should be placed up! Very simple, doable adjustment. No washcloth. How are we supposed to wash our backs? Bed was very comfy but has only soft pillows. Nose gets smothered. Easy walking distance to Centraal train station so all other transportation too. That\'s why I chose this spot. If you don\'t need much space, this hotel is a good choice. Well located near the Central Station. The front desk staff were very welcoming. The room was clean but very small. It was in the basement - as others have said, there was an unpleasant smell in the corridor but not in the room. The bed was reasonably comfortable but the creakiest bed I have ever slept in. The lighting was unusual - no main light, just uplighters and downlighters in the wall, which meant that the room was very dark. The shower pressure was decent.

Rooms are EXTREMELY small but location can’t be beat. Rooms are clean’ish. Noisy from street traffic so if you are a light sleeper try something a little further off the main street

Nice enough room besides very cramped including a very small bathroom with no shower door or curtain so if you are not careful, things could get very wet! However, the room was extremely quiet (ask for one that your window opens to the inner courtyard at the back of the hotel), the bed super comfortable and the location perfect for walking around Amsterdam after a long overnight flight. However, don't think it was worth the price for what you would otherwise get back home but then again this is Amsterdam and is likely comparable to other large European cities.

We were in the last room in the basement, there was a sliver of a window to air raise, so there was little natural light to the room. The lighting to the room was pretty fully, with blinking led lights, to overall insufficient lighting in the room, made the room even dingier than it might actually be. The beds were squeaky, the room tiny, and the hair dryer worked for about 2 minutes before it died. The rain shower is poorly matched with the shower space, so the water gets all over the bathroom floor. I do not recommend this hotel, unless all you care is being close to the Amsterdam Centraal station.

Their AC did not work and had to go back to fix ( which was interesting, because I arrived early and they stated the room was not ready... the room was very hot ). Security was asleep when you walk back in after hours, had to ring the bell and knock on door several times, and they decided to clean the windows of the room at 8am, when I was trying to sleep ( they never told me that would happen and if I needed a different room ). Just crappy service in all.

While check-in the receptionist claimed that my name is not existing in their booking system, which was wrong, he just couldn't find it. I showed him the confirmation mail and he just kept hold of my phone and type something in my mailbox without asking. This wouldn't be a problem at all if he just asked for my consent, but keep holding and typing around while I am trying to get my phone back is not okay! The room 101 was next to the kitchen and breakfast room which was really loud. Due to the location of that room , it shouldn't be sold as hotel room at all.

The hotel was a very short walk from Amsterdam Centraal station. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great, lots of options. Room was small but was adequate for our needs.

The room was Very Small. The lighting in the room was very poor. The check in staff were rude , unhelpful , aggresive and dismissal. The water pressure in the room was very poor (it took 3 minutes to fill a tinky sink. The room above had a new floor being put in , so one morning from 11:00 a.m , really loud drilling woke me up from my sleep and startled me. When i complained to the reception desk they were unhelpful , unkind and rude.
The room was Very Small. The lighting in the room was very poor. The check in staff were rude , unhelpful , aggresive and dismissal. The water pressure in the room was very poor (it took 3 minutes to fill a tinky sink. The room above had a new floor being put in , so one morning from 11:00 a.m , really loud drilling woke me up from my sleep and startled me. When i complained to the reception desk they were unhelpful , unkind and rude.

Do not stay here! We missed our train from Paris delaying our arrival. We called and confirmed we would be arriving the next day. Upon arrival we were told by a very rude night clerk that he was aware of a cancellation charge on our record but acted indifferent when we tried to explain what had transpired. He had us step aside to assist three other parties that had arrived after us. After 42 minutes, at near midnight now we walked out to search for accommodations for the next three nights. This clerk let over a thousand dollars walk right out the door, really pissed off.DO NOT stay here.

Close to Centraal station which is great, but close to what feels very seedy. Front staff was great, room was clean but just. Small room and limited services. Max stay 1 night if you just want an ok place close to the train station. Not a nice area to walk around or eat.

Not well marked outside so hard to find. Coffee/tea/hot water available in lobby and sometimes a bowl of fruit. Elevator is security type so I felt safe. Ibis Styles is supposed to include breakfast. This location did not. Everywhere of hotel is small. Very little space in room to put suitcases or stuff you need to use. No shower curtain so floor gets wet all the way past sink to toilet. Showerhead was placed up high...not everyone is so tall! Towel rack is also way up high. Provide a stepstool for us short people!!! Only thing "upscale" was quality of toilet paper. But holder is placed horizontally and open in the direction you pull it so roll constantly falls onto floor. Stupid!!! Holder opening should be placed up! Very simple, doable adjustment. No washcloth. How are we supposed to wash our backs? Bed was very comfy but has only soft pillows. Nose gets smothered. Easy walking distance to Centraal train station so all other transportation too. That\'s why I chose this spot. If you don\'t need much space, this hotel is a good choice. Maybe there are larger rooms if that is what you need. My room faced inner courtyard so was quiet except for plumbing gurgling.

This Ibis Hotel was not equal to others in the chain. The staff was big city jaded and just going through the motions of their job. Am not sure about the cleanliness of bedding and bathroom towels. The first room stunk of sewer smell, and the room we moved to had a clogged shower drain. The bed was super uncomfortable.. The hotel breakfast was sub par - few selections and poor quality food. I will pass on staying here again.

Hi - I was told when I checked in that breakfast would be available at 7AM. Turns out that was a lie - when I went down to the breakfast room at 7:05, I was told “I’m sorry, Sir, breakfast doesn’t open until later on Sundays”. Ridiculous. I would like a partial refund on my room fee. I didn’t have the flexibility to wait until later because I had a departing flight to catch.
