Truntum Kuta Bali

The room was clean in the new part. But we booked a sea view which was only possible over buildings. We overlooked a pool which was green and not open for 6 days of our holiday. Front pool was cold and other pool was very crowded and limited staff at bar. Breakfast was limited and we had to pay for cappuccino and lattes. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Nice affordable place to stay with beach front access, rooms were nice and clean. Breakfast had a nice variety and having the 3 pools to go between was good. Staff were super friendly too!!

Fantastic location by the beach, with great amenities.. 3 pools, all with bars, 1 swim up. All staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating and attentive. Beautiful gardens, clean cold rooms and a lovely restaurant. What more could you want

We stay here alot it is a great location and the staff are beautiful very helpful all that is missing is a gym.

Truntum Kuta was a nice hotel in a location close to the beach, restaurants and shopping. The staff are all very friendly and were happy to answer our questions regarding the local area. The buffet breakfast has a good variety of food on offer. There are three swimming pools on the property, with the first having a swim up bar, the second along the beachside walk and the largest tucked away at the rear of the property. Acessability will be a problem to those that are not able to use stairs, as there was no lift available to some of the rooms. Requesting a ground level room would fix this issue for those that require it. The hotel holds a couple of buffet dinners with a show throughout the week. They are held outdoors and provide limited food options, but the reasonable price makes the experience worthwhile. Our room had a very generous King sized bed, lounge, bar fridge, kettle, safe and a small bathroom with a shower and toilet. The electrical plugs were universal. The balchony had two chairs and a small table overlooking the pool. There was an ashtray supplied to cater for the smokers. Outside of the property there is a plethora of local sales people seeking your attention. Saying a polite 'no thankyou' will have them leave you alone. Overall, Truntum Kuta was a nice, value for money hotel in a convenient location.

We had a deluxe renovation room (mm) not sure about that. Door to room very sticky hard to open door to balcony same. You would wake up the sleeping person if going out to balcony. Room clean and functional. Breakfast facing beach very nice good choice. Staff great friendly and accomodating Money changer same price as the streets opens at 9 am 3 pools 1 with swim up bar. The price reflects the size of resort. I personally would not stay again as i think can get same room cheaper in small hotel. If you want a larger hotel this fits the bill

Everyone was so lovely, however the bed was rock hard, so if like us, you are used to a soft mattress, definitely ask for a few mattress toppers. They are rock solid. The other disappointing thing was the main pool with a sunken bar was closed while we were staying for repairs, things happen but an email with a warning would’ve been nice as we were looking forward to spending some time there.

They only need a gym we stay here all the time twice a year 2 weeks mid year and q month every jan

Pool Bar closes at 5.30pm. Pizzas on the 24 hour room dining menu, as well as Pool Bar menu are almost never available after 1pm! Ran out of cheese and pizzas almost every day. Pool closes very early. Due to the closing time and limited food options as well as semi bar closing time you are almost forced to leave the hotel every night. Not all families are interested in the Bali traditional nights. If there were more options at the hotel in terms of dining options on a daily basis, entertainment and atmosphere around the pool are we would have definitely spent more time and more money in the hotel!

Room was dirty, sink and shower blocked, grey towels, pools were filthy brown dirt on edge of pools everyday, no pool service glasses plates left on tables all day, would never stay there again

This property is very old and in need of a renovation, particularly the towels - both the bath towels and the pool towels. They were old and didn’t smell clean at all. Our first room wasn’t very clean and when we told them they immediately upgraded us and overall the staff were wonderful and caring. The free welcome drink was very disappointing as it was just a small glass of orange juice as was the breakfast as there weren’t many options. But the best thing about the hotel was the location - perfect for walking for shopping, drinks, dinner or whatever you fancied.

the gardens are maintained very well, friendly staff and great breakfast..... bathrooms are smelly, mouldy and not cleaned properly, pools have a thick rim of dirt on the tiling at water level..... expensive and not well mixed cocktails, minimal drinking water supplied, so you have to keep buying bottles..... understanding of the English language is sometimes very poor and also the communication before arriving at the property in regards to room preferences.... total misunderstanding.... costing me $ 200 extra for nothing and got charged extra $ 50 for 3 hours later check out....... ripp off ... making the decision never to come back here, very easy

The hotel is old, run down and not worth the price. It's located right on Kuta beach which is it's selling point but it's a nightmare if you don't want to walk anywhere as it's on a one way street and Taxi's take forever to get down it. The room itself smelled of mold and had bugs and spiders in it and we got the deluxe room. House keeping were friendly and came everyday but there was always dirt on the floor so you couldn't walk around with no shoes on. The toilet paper is SUPER thin your fingers go through it there was better toilet paper in the Maccas around the corner. There is no lift, we were in a deluxe room(haha!) up 2 flights of stairs at the back of the hotel, if we wanted no stairs we had to walk the entire building and go to the front lobby where it is a steep incline instead of stairs.The Buffet was nice but the food options were a bit limited and you always had to wait a long time for the pancakes or eggs, the staff are slow and chat more than they serve. The pools are OK but we got a rash from swimming in one and the cocktails are limited. It is right across from Jamie Oliver and Hard Rock shop, Kuta square is about 200 meters down the road and there is a fixed price store there. Location wise it's good if you want to go to the beach but it is a long walk to everything else on unever ground. They have a dinner buffet for $15 and then have the same food the next morning at breakfast. Frankly it's not worth the amount per night there are nicer hotels.

Level of cleanliness was outstanding, food standards were high. Only ate in the hotel due to the standards of the hotel. Looking forward to returning to the Truntrum as soon as possible.

We stayed at the Grand Inna Kuta for 11 days, we asked for 2 rooms as we were going with our daughter and her 11 month old baby, we asked for a cot. We got a travel cot full of mould with feet missing. Their room smelt of damp mould. Our room had an awful smell, upon leaving after 11 days I dropped something under the bed, we found out what the smell was, it was a dirty nappy, that was so full of wee that had been cooking in our room for 11 days, Not one from my grandson, but from the previous people staying in room. The staff are lovely but if you want people to return take more care with the cleaning and get rid of mouldy cots dreadful. Unfortunately I would not recommend this hotel due to this.

Friendly staff. Beds not very comfortable

I had Ocean view on the 4th floor. It was quiet, pools are great, three to choose from. Breakfast was good with good choices. Staff friendly as always in Bali. Not a big fan of Kuta, bit passed its used by date. I generally stay in different place each trip, Kuta needs a revamp.

The area the property is in is very noisy with fireworks going off until 1 am. In addition, the hotel needs a bit of a refresher and was not very clean.

Stayed in a Grand Deluxe room. (upgrade from basic room) Was good enough but nothing special i am afraid. The bathroom was the size of a postage stamp. Could not see what was the "upgrade" actually entailed. The staff however were extremely polite and friendly.

Fantastic location right on Beachwalk. 3 great pools. Enormous buffet breakfast. Big hotel thats dated in places but our rooms were updated and very good.

Just had a couple of nights here. It's quite a nice hotel and in a great location in Kuta. We were in the Bali Wing, and whilst it is clean, and reasonably well maintained, it does feel a little aged. In the room, a Grand Deluxe in our case, the sleeping area was good, bathroom a bit small. Furniture in the room whilst clean is again a little aged, with some of the edges missing. Bed was comfortable and room was quiet We only used the Kelapa Pool which was a nice place to relax. There were children jumping from the bridge at the pool, even tho the signs said not to, and staff at the pool did not say anything to them. Food at breakfast and around the pool was generally nice. Overall, great location and good value for money.

Great location but very poor internet connection

PROS: 3 really nice pools, staff at check in/breakfast are very friendly, the breakfast is beautiful with so many options which change daily, Rooms are large, clean and cleaned nicely every day. CONS: Bar staff are often on their phones, we sat at one of the pools for 2hours with every deck chair table filled with empty bottles/food trays from previous guests. At the beach pool I sat at the bar for 10mins being very patient waiting for them to make a large order of cocktails for other guests at the tables - I assumed they would serve me when ready however they ignored me, I was the only one sitting there so Im sure all 3 would of seen me. Two other guests came up and got served straight away so I gave up. Guests tend to leave their dirty pool towels at the deck chairs rather then picking them up and taking them back to the pool towel hut - this means it always looks like the chairs are all taken but they just stay like that for hours not being used. Hotel staff dont come around and take them away so maybe they need to be more strict on the towel sign out. We were in a family room which is a little dated, felt like we over paid for what we did get. Rooms are nice and large though but we could of gotten a villa for alot cheaper. Location wise is nice next to the beach but fire works do go off every night which can be hard with kids. FOAM PARTY - Our kids enjoyed it, however we waited 10 mins to pay to enter but staff ignored us so we just went in and didnt pay!

We had a wonderful time at Truntum! The convenient location, shopping at restaurants out the front, beach out the back! The customer service was perfect, prompt, friendly and polite. Only suggestion would be more in depth maintenance.

Always very happy with our stay at Truntum. From the time we checked in to check out all staff were exceptional, friendly and helpful. Thank you Yani for ensuring our stay was wonderful and Martini for when and if we needed room services. Great choice of breakfast and restaurants for meals. Very handy having the option of the 3 pools too.

I have stayed in this hotel previously which is why we booked again. Whilst the location is great, the hotel is in need of an update. The customer service was hit and miss. The breakfast was ok - not fantastic. But the kids loved it. Unfortunately we were let down by the concierge as we booked our transport to the airport and they weren’t there at 4am when we got there. Erik was amazing though and sorted us transportation to the airport - he is amazing!

Upon arrival I had to argue about receiving the room upgrade based on my gold status They said it was an Expedia offer and not theirs. After some back and forth, they agreed however the room they put me in was dirty and very old. Nothing like the photo representation. Certainly did not feel like an upgade. That evening, a sewer smell started in the bathroom... despite the fan being on, it was still there. The next morning I went to the front desk and reported the smell. By afternoon when I returned, they masked the smell with perfume. When I enquired, they said that was the "fix" the manager decided upon. I told them it was unacceptable. Another manager accompanied me to the room and immediately was displeased as he said that perfume will not fix the problem. (he was very nice!) At that time they changed my room, indicating that it was in fact the water line that housekeeping should have "flushed" While the other room smelled good and was bigger, it was still old. Definitely not 4* Restaurant service was poor. Buffet breakfast however was great. Pools were nice, area was lively and security staff very nice.

Everything was fine. 5 stars because of value for money. Everything was well aligned with the fees and charges. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We have been going to Truntum Kuta ( Previously Grand Inna) for the past 10 years. From the Managers, Reception staff to the cleaners we have built a friendship as well as mutual respect. When you walk into into a hotel and you feel like its a second home and your name is always remembered, there is no better feeling. Even though we will stay at other hotels for the experience Truntum is always our favourite because the staff make it wonderful. So, for as long as we go to Bali, a Truntum stay is a must.

Cok Oka Derana and the staff are all very friendly and always helpful , the hotel is clean and all you need for a great family friendly holiday. Its right on the Kuta beach for access to a beautiful Bali sunsets and a cold Bingtang .

Centrally located in Kuta beach, a lot of shops,restos, massage places around. Beautiful sunset from certain room. Room is relatively clean, AC worked well, breakfast is basic. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. However the road is always crowded, take an extra time to go to airport.

Amazing breakfast and good location if you like the busyness of a location. Everything is walking distance. Staff is amazing too. Would come back. There is a busy sidewalk between the hotel and beach so it’s not backing straight up to the beach. A lot of mini carts on the sidewalk.

Great hotel with good facilities. Hard to beat for a beachfront location, where you can stay in a quality hotel, walk down for a surf without even having to cross the road ! Proximity to bars, resturaunts , markets and shopping options is great too. For the most part my experience was very good! Staff are helpful and very polite! Room was clean and well presented with good airconditioning. The buffet breakfast is extensive and good quality , definately worth including for the price. Only real issue I had was that the tv in our room ( and across the whole hotel) was down for a day and a half due to service issues. Not a deal breaker by any means and was fixed as quickly as possible. The choice of three different pools is handy depending on your mood. The largest and nicer of the of the pools does have a bar but you have to get out order food and drinks. The long infinity style pool down at the beachfront looks to originally had a swim up bar which for some reason has been boarded and covered up. A bit disappointing as I feel for its location would be ideal to have the swim up bar here for a view of the beach and boardwalk. In saying that the resturaunt along side will serve your drinks to the pool also there. The central pool does have a swim up bar which is good if that’s what you like in hotel too. Definitley happy with my stay and the service, would recommend and be happy to stay here again.👍
