The room was clean as was the bathroom, the hotel is in a very old building so exceptions have to be made when it comes to some things, such as the stairs are steep and there are 3 flights, although the top flight is not too big. However it is worth saying as I know of at least two people who would not manage them. Our room was at the top of the building with coomb ceilings which hold the heat, it was extremely warm even with a fan on constantly. The bathroom, although clean with no mould was functional but basic. The food was excellent as was the selection for breakfast. Our stay in this hotel was made by the fabulous staff who go out of their way to help with anything you need with a friendly smile and good humour. Would definitely recommend it.

The location was good and easy to find with the bonus of free car parking, however it was a bit of a walk to the reception to check. The hotel is within the pub building and due to the property age then hotel room are old and have been built around the around this with stairs all over the place and not lifts. Room are old but are nice apart the temperature- we stopped in a heatwave and was lucky we had thought to bring an extra fan to help with the temperature. Due to the main road being outside and the need for window to be open it was noisey.

The staff were very helpful when we arrived. If you’re going to the F1, this is a perfect location it’s only 5mins to the train station to get the shuttle bus to Silverstone.
