Staff was amazing; very accommodating! Helped me find the perfect room to meet my needs. Enjoyed their coffee and easy to grab breakfast items but there are also quite a few food options within walking distance. Parking is a little tight when full but we didn't have a problem. Would stay again.

Stayed 2 nights

I stayed at this hotel for two nights while travelling to Barrie for work with my colleague. The hotel is located on a slope and, importantly, there is no elevator, which may be something guests with mobility issues should be aware of before booking. At check-in, the lady at front desk told me there are no room available on the first and second floor. Then, I explained that I have a disability. Then the lady kindly accommodated me by moving me to a room on the second floor, which I appreciated. However, the entrance closest to my room was at the back of the building, and I noticed that there were no designated accessible parking spaces near that entrance. This made it difficult for me to park in the most convenient location. I think this is something the hotel should consider improving, especially given the lack of an elevator. The room itself had a noticeable smell when I first entered, although opening the window helped and the smell eventually dissipated. During both nights of my stay, there appeared to be some kind of children’s hocky event happening, so it was quite noisy at times. I understand that this is not entirely within the hotel’s control, but it did affect the overall experience. Overall, the front desk staff was helpful and accommodating, but I think the hotel could make some meaningful improvements in terms of accessibility, accessible parking, and room condition.
