Parking was appalling as there was an event on in the evening. Some provision should be made for staying guests to park versus those attending for an evening do. On the flip side, Ash, in the breakfast restaurant was superb in terms of his customer service. He was faultless and should be commended.

Very nice hotel. Our room had a king and a pull-out larger than a twin but smaller than a full. There was no bedding aside from pillows for the pull-out so we had to request and they only brought up two flat sheets. There is a very nice spa and weight room. The pool has an attached bubble spa which I thought would be heated but it was not. It’s not within walking distance to entertainment but the drive isn’t horrible. It was cold and rainy the day we got in so we went bowling at the Ice Bowl then had Pho afterwards which was amazing. The next day after checking out we visited the Ulster Museum which I highly recommend.

Was nice to have parking and be in safe area. Staff lovely. However the “Jacuzzi” (the brand name of hot tubs) is not hot as shares water with their main pool, which was odd. Reception attendant indicated jacuzzi means it is not a heated pool (lol!- news to us!! Lolol)

The staff were extremely friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and very well presented, which made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. The dining area offered a great selection of food, and the quality was excellent, we especially enjoyed the meals. Great stay. As a family this is definitely our hotel of choice in Belfast! With the pool and kids play room sure win for us! We have a roof box and all parking is above ground so no issue on height like many other hotels. Spacious rooms and always friendly staff! Convenient location for everything!

Everything was perfectly fine for my husband and I. But, if you need to have fun with Sauna, Bubble Bath, Gym and more you need to follow what in the reception they telling you on arrival that YOU NEED TO BOOK in advance because they are so busy down the area

I was disappointed to arrive and find dirty bed clothes on the bed. But in fairness to the staff they were changed and dealt with very quickly once I advised them. And they gave us a free drink as goodwill gesture. Overall, I thought the service from all staff was of a very high standard. The service was very good in the bar and at breakfast and the staff very friendly. This was the most appealing part of my stay.

Bed not made up properly - undersheet didn’t fit the bed. Terrible pillows. Stains on the carpet and sofa. Couldn’t access the pool without booking first. Had to book a time for breakfast too. Breakfast was chaotic and very poor quality - everything was horribly overcooked. Cars frequently found occupying the disabled spaces we needed without displaying disabled badges - reported this to reception but nothing wad done. Very disappointing.

We liked the above and the room was nice. Gym excellent. The male staff with dark hair who checked us in was excellent and the manager at the river bar (we discussed cake) was friendly and professional. Not like - some staff rude and not responsive, provided wrong information when asked about medical issues. Requested assistance to find a Dr and that we needed to be registered… so impossible to find. We easily found a private Dr. - carpet dirty in hall and we had to ask to be cleaned - showers def not hot enough and ridiculously complicated to use - very cold in lobby lounge area, not a warm atmosphere either… Thanks

Great hotel. Catered really well at breakfast (which was great! for my son's dairy and gluten free diet. Very thoughtful chef came out and left him a couple of buns! All staff were lovely. Rooms very comfortable and spotless.

Finished my log stay in ireland here and it was lovely, so clean, and the room was spotless. Really nice shower, bed was superb and even the TV was of good quality. Free water in the room as well which was nice.

Lovely hotel, clean neat and rooms looked really sharp. Good food, nice staff. But once again what is it about hotel pillows. The pillows were awfull allowing me to wake up with a sore head from neck pain. Please hotels. Com, fix the pillows.

The Hotel is in a good position and the staff are really lovely We had two nights in our room ... both nights we were woken up in teh early morning by noisy guests -4am first night and 1.30am the other . We told the hotel , we think they had a word but it continued . So two nights at the Cowne Plaza we left shattered . Not a great experience

The room was spotless the bed and pillows were terrible awful night sleep bathroom was stunning but was disable amenities and as a non disabled person sinks were two low. No disrespect but just for the price i paided for the room was uncomfortable and inconvenient the food was poor in the bar no taste the hotels staff are wonderful and very welcome and make you feel looked after truely wonderful people. Just a very pricey hotel with bad beds and poor food for the price

I have stayed here previously so thought I would book again this time with my wife and 2 kids. On the Saturday night there was a party until the early hours of the morning, we stayed in room 242 at the front of the hotel so experienced the full volume of the party! £400 for 2 nights and this experience was not great. I mentioned it on check out and was informed it would be reported back. Won’t be back.

Fabulous room, very new and up-to-date. Great bathroom with shower. Nice lighting, bottles of water, safe in the wardrobe, ironing board. Everything is a great standard. Great breakfast, such friendly staff everywhere. A great stay was made even better by the friendliness and caring nature of the staff.

Incredibly welcoming staff who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Some notable staff members were Ryan and Sam on reception, Annie at breakfast and all of the staff at the Riverside, who each made our stay special. We will be returning to Belfast and staying here again!

From booking I made contact with Hotel regarding my son being in a disabled chair and looking to request a spacious family room. I was told this wasn't possible and got contacted a few days later to ask if I wanted to book a 2nd room for extra space after already paying £171 for a room only rate not including breakfast. I had multiple messages from the property throughout the week before my stay asking for payment the 2nd time and each time I had to ring to say the bill was already paid. If this wasn't a non-refundable booking I'd have cancelled and booked elsewhere as they were just so unhelpful and completely unprofessional even before we stayed. Once we arrived nearly 2 hours after check in they still weren't sure if our room was ready and they allocated us a room on the 2nd floor even after I stood at Reception and asked a few times for a ground floor room to make it easier for us. Once we got out of the lifts the carpet in the hallway was absolutely soaken, the place smelt like a sewer on the 2nd floor and the wheels of my sons chair, the suitcase and my other childs feet was soaken. We then went to the room and it was the smallest most squashed room we have ever stayed in. The bathroom was absolutely ridiculous how tiny it was. We then booked the pool and the changing facilities are absolutely disgusting. Later that night we took the kids to the playroom and the place was absolutely trashed, toys broken everywhere and the playhouse had the door snapped off. Never again

Great front reception staff, rooms clean and well equipped. Fantastic gym for a hotel, although it can get very busy at peak times due to being a stand alone gym with separate members from the hotel. Main restaurant is on the first floor with good food and breakfast. River bar on the ground floor is where the hotel fails for me. First night experience was being given a menu and placing a drink order, a pint served quickly. Only 3 other tables occupied, waited 20 minutes for my food order to be taken, while watching the male and female staff members flirt with each other and generally not do anything else. Presuming the bar manager was not interested either as he was stood on the other side of the bar next to them. Finally my order was taken, the food was poor, the burger was tougher than an old boot and I couldn’t eat it. I decided the second night that maybe it was just a one off and to give it another try. No flirting as the female member of staff was not working but the food was again badly cooked, a chicken fillet burger that had been butterflied about 4 times and cooked until drier than sandpaper. I would say giver the River Bar a miss when at this hotel.

Excellent hotel. Exceeded our expectations. Incredibly helpful staff. Everyone was warm, friendly and courteous in every department. Having worked in customer service I like to highlight those that really make a difference by name but honestly, that's tricky when everyone was so charming.

We liked the above and the room was nice. Gym excellent. The male staff with dark hair who checked us in was excellent and the manager at the river bar (we discussed cake) was friendly and professional. Not like - some staff rude and not responsive, provided wrong information when asked about medical issues. Requested assistance to find a Dr and that we needed to be registered… so impossible to find. We easily found a private Dr. - carpet dirty in hall and we had to ask to be cleaned - showers def not hot enough and ridiculously complicated to use - very cold in lobby lounge area, not a warm atmosphere either… Thanks

Stayed here for two nights of a longer road trip. Check in was extremely quick. Naomi at reception was fabulous!!! She helped my husband and i out on numerous occasions. She had great advice as to where to eat & sightseeing destinations. Breakfast & the lobby bar has great food. Parking was convenient. Hotel is located out of town, so if you dont want to drive in youll have to take a taxi. If we visit Belfast again we would definitely be back staying here

The rooms were great. There's a spa/pool, but we weren't there enough to access. The restaurant and lounge were very comfortable - Annie, in the restaurant, made our day! She ensured we tried foods at the buffet, had great stories and cared! The lounge area had music (person w/guitar) and all of our food was great. This was in an area of Belfast I hadn't seen before - hidden! We took a cab to go into the city proper which was really only 5-10 min. Well worth staying here.

Bed not made up properly - undersheet didn’t fit the bed. Terrible pillows. Stains on the carpet and sofa. Couldn’t access the pool without booking first. Had to book a time for breakfast too. Cars frequently found occupying the disabled spaces we needed without displaying disabled badges - reported this to reception but nothing wad done. Very disappointing.

Fairly standard hotel but room service was terrible. I had a chicken a rice dish which when it came looked like someone’s left over take away from the night before that had been microwaved. This was at 6pm so kitchen open. Prawn crackers were also like cardboard. Hotel ok but get a delivery for food.

Comfortable bed and the bathroom was very clean. The air con/ heating system was annoying - it made a constant low throbbing noise which prevented me getting a good night's sleep, however this may have been only noticeable in the part of the hotel where my room was located. We fined in the hotel on both nights of our stay and the food was satisfactory.

We stay here all the time as a family. Nice rooms, good breakfast, great swimming pool and gym. It is in a quiet location. It is on the outskirts of Belfast - so you need transport to get around (car, taxis or bus). The staff are always friendly and helpful and there's a decent bar/restaurant too.
