Very bad design in the registration reception. The entrance on the street level is at concierge that you have to go to upper floor for registration where there is barely any space provided between the elevator and the reception desk. Very poor design. They could’ve made the reception area larger and made the cafeteria behind it smaller. It was pretty cramped and people were pushing against each other in front of the reception area.

We had a great stay at the Hyatt regency. Convenient location, great facilities and clean. One of the lifts wasn’t working the morning we left so had to wait quite a while when we had a train to catch but these things happen. Liked the lennons bar, didn’t eat but drinks were good and reasonably priced

Room was lovely but I booked because of the heated swimming pool and was extremely disappointed that it wasn’t heated. Couldn’t bear having my legs in for a more than a few minutes due to the cold temperature. If I’d have known the pool wasn’t heated I’d have saved my money and gone to another hotel without a pool. The hotel offered complimentary late checkout until 12pm and then $25 per hour until 4pm which was very helpful.

Stayed for 3 nights. On arrival night and then subsequently every day asked them to change the batteries in the room safe. Every time at reception we were assured engineering would sort it as a matter of urgency so that we could use the safe. Never sorted. Room was never cleaned before 3 or 4 pm which is too late in the day when we were up and out before 8 am….

The front of house and wait staff were excellent but their housekeeping let them down badly. The cleaning of the rooms was very inconsistent, glasses and crockery not cleaned and replaced, carpet not vacuumed every day until I complained, failing to put a top sheet on the bed. One day we vacated our room at 9am and left a "make up my room" sign on the door and returned 5 hours later to find it had not even been touched!

The first room I was put in was very dark, dirty, very broken down and looked and felt like nobody had stayed in that suite for many weeks. The sheets were dirty and bathroom was also dirty. I got put into another room which was brighter and cleaner, however it was on the side where the main road was and it was load due to people partying. I’m lucky I sleep like the dead. The manager at the time was accommodating and very quick to resolve the issue. However with Hyatt being a “nice, luxury” hotel you would expect better. I would not be staying here again as you’re really paying for the name. I do appreciate the management team for their efforts.

Spacious room on the top floor which was lovely. This hotel can’t be beaten if you want a hotel in the CBD. Brisbane mall is at the front door and trendy Burnett Lane at the back door. We were treated to a nice welcome treat of sweets which was placed in our room while we were out. Room service was quick and tasty. My only criticism was the cleanliness of the room. I noticed red mould on the floor tiles in the bathroom and the floor of the room didn’t appear to have been vacuumed properly as there were crumbs under the table and on the chair. I like the fact the foyer has free still and sparkling water on tap to refill bottles. Reception staff were helpful and friendly. Pool area is lovely.

The hot water temp was scalding and difficult to adjust in the shower, room lighting was weird - all controls at door entrance meant no separate light switch in the bathroom. Also the duvet was too hot and air con got less effective overnight so we woke up sweating in the middle of the night. Location was great though.

Was only here for one night hotel was lovely but the shower was poor, didn’t have time to talk to reception about it as I was leaving for the airport but it barely got hot and only trickled out the tap, may have been because I was using it at prime time but apart from that hotel was nice condition clean and tidy, parking is not very clear when booking through hotels.com so make sure to check before you arrive as you cannot park at the property

This area was really beneficial to stay in since it was by the night life, shopping areas, and good restaurants. Property felt safe due to having to have a key to enter the floor you stayed on. Room was very nice and spacious.

The staff are incredibly rude and unprofessional A girl named Franny apparently a manger was the worst person I have ever had to deal with even her co workers tried to tame her but she was a terrible person. The room service was very poor and inconsistent on some occasions but others it was perfect. the room and the facilities are good but the staff especially Franny are dragging it down she should be fired immediately as we are planing another trip soon and will be calling and making sure she is no longer there before booking again. I cant believe a person like Franny can be a manager at a 5 star hotel with her attitude and personality.

Very happy with our stay, staff members at Reception and Concierge were very friendly and helpful. We requested for early check in with paying abit extra to upgrade room as our flight arrived very early and reception staff was helpful to assist with our request. The bedroom was very spacious with great views of Brisbane city and looks newly renovated. Bedding was excellent, so comfortable and bedsheets so smooth, we had a very good sleep due to good bedding, very happy with the bed. Located right in the heart of the city within walking distance to reataurants n shops opposite Uptown Shopping Mall and Food court. Abit of a walk to Central Station so we took the cab with our heavy luggages and it cost around $12 which is Ok. Beautiful Chic Hotel and great ambience at Lobby n restaurant area.

Reception was too small and in front of the lifts. This caused issues when busy. We are still trying to sort out the bill. We paid up front and they are charging us again, despite them confirming we’d already paid, on check-in. Lovely staff restaurant great but worried about our bill. We've been told we’d get a refund and an email to confirm we would get our money back, but nothing yet

I truly don't know why I have not stayed here before, it was a fantastic stay, in every way. Every facet from calling ahead for directions to the easy valet service, the welcome and helpful team at Reception who ensured I updated my Hyatt membership, to the plentiful breakfast and friendly team in the dining area each day. Then our rooms were well appointed with comfortable beds, fast free wifi, and it was so quiet. Your room service and also cleaning team are incredibly fast and thorough too. I had the most restful stay, I'm so impressed! Conveniently located to everything we love in the Brisbane CBD too. We will definitely return.

Hotel is conveniently located in Queen Street mall. Only stayed one night so did not visit restaurant or swimming pool. Receptionist said he wasgiving us an upgrade as was our first time staying there. Room was exactly what I had booked online. Appeared only upgrade was putting us on floor 26....the top floor! However they did give us an extra hour for our checkout which was good.

Good hotel overall, good location, the breakfast buffet was phenomenal, the staff were very nice and helpful, the hotel was clean and bed was comfy. The room was a bit smaller than anticipated for the price paid and the add ons get expensive; I didn’t like the extra $25/hr for late checkout. Not sure if this hotel was good value for the money in the end.

Hotel itself was nice, rooms were clean and the location was great. Our issue was, the hotel does not accept cash. With the staff at the hibiscus bar telling us that "cash is an old thing". Waited about 10mins for a schooner of ginger beer to be told they are out and they could substitute for a mocktail.

This is an ideal location for the city centre, right in the middle of the major shopping area. The breakfast arrangements were disorganised. Tables not cleared and guests having to wait for a table. On both days there was no milk or cups for the tea, and the coffee machine produces luke warm coffee. In addition our twin beds were small singles when most hotels provide at least queen doubles for twins, so disappointing.
