The hotel is beautiful, located just above Central train station which makes it very easy to access, when entering the lobby the design is very fancy and staff are very polite and respectful. Breakfast selection is very rich and adaptable to any dietary requirements. The swimming pool are is nice and clean and gives opportunity for families to have fun on the hotel's territorry. However for a 5 star hotel I would recommend to check their water dispensers in the room. When filling the water in a glass it was not clear, so we just bought water from supermarket. Also bed vallance needs to be changed as it was ripped on the edges. These details did not impact our stay, but it does impact the image of a 5 star hotel. Overall we had a wonderfull say, the restaurant menu is delicious and we enjoyed every minute of our vacation

Really nice hotel, we were selected as guests of the day for our stay so got free breakfast and access to the upstairs club which had free liquor and snacks and a really high end vibe. Really made us feel special and saved us money! Had lots of great breakfast buffet options. Parking is onsite which is nice but a bit pricey. Location is near a shopping area and beautiful park however there were some street people around day and night which you felt bad for. The pool was also really nice, hot tub was ok. Would absolutely stay here again!

Rooms a little dated, but still nice. Comfy bed, complimentary water, nice facilities & convenient bedding above the Central Train Station. Pool & Spa area is nice, but only gets the morning sun, so no good for sun baking, but great area for kids being sun smart. Great spot, within walking distance to Southbank & other areas…

Showing its age. Very cortesia staff, nice pool area and spa, convenient to walk around and parking available. My bed broke as the supporting wheel snapped when I first touched it … so had to move rooms after unpacking- didn’t even get an upgrade for the trouble. The breakfast was ok but the bread was stale

luxurious hotel with relaxing bathroom amenities nice sumptuous breakfast close to the Central Station, no need cab to get to the airport, which takes as long with higher price - bath and shower water default is too hot - the spa doesn't get back to my booking, only receives automated message which makes me miss the Opal Rasul

Beautiful hotel in heart of Brisbane. Easy access to shops and restaurants. Beds were too soft for my liking and new mattress would be suggested as they had some permanent indentation from use which made it hard to get really comfortable. Again firmer mattress even medium density would have been nice. Also the furniture needed to be moved for a deep cleaning as it was pretty dirty under beds and night table. We knew that because we dropped an earring and had to move stuff so saw it first hand. The lobby and service was top shelf though.

The room we stayed in was run down, there was mouldy smell, bathroom was not cleaned properly even though we had wait nearly an hour to get the room. Pillows had stains on them. No ideal with a 7 month old baby. Well below expectations

This hotel is in a great location, super convenient to travel to and from the airport but the hotel feels very overdue for upgrading. The carpet in the room is dark and depressing, the cabinets are weathered and dated looking as is the bathroom. The shower tub combination is a disaster waiting to happening. The hallways have a damp odour that is made worse by the carpet deodorant or whatever they use in the hallways, it takes your breathe away in a not good way. This hotel isn’t a 5 star property in my opinion, 3.5 maybe but not more than that. The staff were friendly and helpful for sure and I will give the breakfast spread an excellent review as well but overall I was disappointed by the aesthetics of this property.

The room is spacious and comfortable. I found a tv controller and electric kettle did not work but they replaced it to another one immediately. The hotel is connected toCentral station so very convenient for my sightseeing trip. When I was lost, I just asked somebody the location of the station and was able to find the hotel easily.

Staff & service were exceptional. So convenient to get to Central train station - look for the doors to Sofitel from within the station (don't go around the block like Google & Apple maps suggest). Showerhead in bathroom needs to be updated but it works. Shower tap handle also could be updated - very difficult to use and get temperature right.

The hotel is a bit dated but clean and the staff made all the difference. The concierge, a lady named Riennye was absolutely amazing and helpful, giving us excellent recommendations on where to go out to eat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Brisbane.

We stayed in a King Suite with our two small children, when checking in we asked if the pull out couch bed would be made up, which i was told it already had been. When we arrived at the room we found it wasn’t. I called guest services to advise them. We went out and advised them at reception that now would be a good time to do it… long storey short it took over 5 phone calls and 6 hours to get the bed sorted… two very tired little boys as it was well past their bed time… not impressed and will not be returning, should never have booked, will definitely stick with the Hilton..

From check in to check out, my whole stay was fantastic! Right from the start I was made to feel that I was their only guest. As it was my first stay with Sofitel I received a complimentary room upgrade with a view of the beautiful Anzac Square. We had a bite to eat for dinner at Cuvee and it was delicious. The staff were so polite, professional and were so very attentive. The hotel was tastefully decorated, with beautiful amenities and access to Central Station right at your door. Queen St Mall just a few minutes walk away. I would not hesitate to stay here again and am already planning my next visit :)

Very good location. Highly recommend getting the air train from the airport - goes straight to the hotel. Very convenient and fast. Great location, very central to the CBD. Metro supermarket literally across the road from the hotel. Can walk to the waterfront and catch a free ferry. Excellent customer service. Would definitely stay again.

Wonderful hotel in a very central location. It’s next door to the central train station and easy to walk anywhere within CBD. Excellent customer service. The breakfast is exceptional and like the wise dinner buffer (little on the expensive side).

The disappointing feature was the buffet breakfasts. The staff on all the four occasions we had breakfast failed to routinely replenish the fresh cut fruit bowls and looked blankly when they were asked to do so and even then failed to replace several empty bowls. The array of breads were very limited and again weren't replenished. They didn't even bother to bring out any pastries on two days and fruit bread was only present on one day (one piece only which my wife and I shared!) I don't know whether it is a staffing or managerial issue, but it let down an otherwise pleasant stay. The buffet breakfasts are certainly not cheap, and clients should expect a better experience for their money. If we return to stay at the hotel, we will look elsewhere for breakfast. In all, extremely disappointing.
