The hotel is near River Danube with incredible view of the old buildings lining up on the other side of Danube. Easy walking distance to all the major highlights including Buda Castle and Fisherman's which is a part of the castle complex. Great foods a local restaurants close by. The parking (valet and self) process was amazing. We travel around the world, and never seen such seamless process to make most of the limited space. The only thing that could improve was breakfast buffet. It was very good, but perhaps the variety could have been just a tiny bit more.

Great experience at Park Plaza! Very clean room and beautiful views. Made use of the gym and sauna while staying which were great features. Reception and restaurant staff friendly and helpful. Close proximity to the Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion. About 20 minute scenic walk into the main town over the Danube and close to metro and tram stops too. Loved our stay here and will definitely be back. Thank you!

This hotel was ideal for a city break in Budapest - around a 5/10 min walk to the Chain Bridge you could pop across into the livelier Pest side really easily but also just a 10 min walk up to the Castle on the Buda side. The bar was lovely and great value for money. Breakfast was fine and did the job. Views across the Danube amazing and the noon check out time was a plus! All the staff were really friendly and the hotel was very clean. We paid extra for a Danube View room with a view of Parliament - this was really special, especially when lit up at night time.

Clean and acceptable - convenient - diner at the bar was not good - waiter was more interested in his girlfriend then customer service and food was mediocre. Lucky 2 good cafes around the corner ( 2nd one best) and behind was a converted monastery that had a beyond excellent restaurant you need to try The hotel was in a excellent location

Great location right by the Danube and with the view on the Buda Castle on one side and the Parliament on the other. Parking is a bit irritating as you always need an attendant to let you in and out, which can take a while. Other irritating thing is that it doesn't seem like they want to let you charge anything to the room and are asked to pay for everything on the spot... We had breakfast at the hotel on one morning and were asked to pay on the spot, not possible to charge it to the room for whatever reason. Got the same request for parking charges, although that ended up being OK to be charged to the room and paid at check out. Who knows...

Check in was okay and quick . Was asked if i required ckeaning on a daily basis . I said yes. Room had a lovely view . The room was very dusty with lots of cumps of hair / dust balls evidenent on floor and bath room . Under the bed was worse and had not seen a hoover etc. in a long time. I asked at reception that houskeeping would look at that the next day . I was told yes . Nothing was done and the housekeeping consisted on a bed make up a change of towelsand a quick cursory lick around the sink . Tables and side lockers ( a black glass) dud not see a cloth and floors were neither swept hoovered or moped on any of the four days I was there . Also they forgot to clean one of the days . The air conditioning was also suspect . It would go up but not down . The electronic device fir openibg and closing curtains waa eratic in its functionality and youd be bettwr off operating manually. Bar Staff were good and the gym was clean and well stocked with equipment . Sauna was tiny and only operated from 5pm to 10pm . I have no idea why such limited hours Overall I found that the hotel trades on its location on the Danube but not on its service . I explained this to the receptionist when leaving but she took no notes or said that she would pass or on the management . Its not a budget or cheap hotel but operates like one and cleaning is not a priority .

The front desk staff as very friendly and helpful. The view of Parliament from river view room was breathtaking. The location is very convenient...near grocery, pharmacy, and Metro. Easy walk up hill to Fisherman’s Bastion. The beds and linens were very comfortable. Water pressure was decent. Bath was good size. There wasn't really any storage, so unable to unpack and lived out of suitcase. Cleaning service was worst I've ever experienced. Changing towels was only thing they did. We had to repeatedly call front desk to have trash emptied or receive toilet paper. They never restocked coffee or provided clean cups. We were there two weeks and sheets were never changed. If weren’t for horrible cleaning service, would give five stars.

Overall a very underwhelming 3 night stay, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel. The room we stayed in was really spacious and the bed was ok but the carpet was filthy with stains all over it, the AC didn’t cool the room down, the water was cold, on a morning we were having cold shower. To get to our room there was over 5 lots of stairs, considering we had a 2 year old and lots of luggage and a pram this wasn’t ideal, on check in there was no help offered, we were told the room was only a few stairs away, s

Nous avons séjourné à l'hôtel Park Plaza à Budapest, dans une suite censée faire 50 m². Malheureusement, notre expérience a été très décevante, surtout pour un hôtel classé 4 étoiles. À notre arrivée dans la chambre, nous avons immédiatement constaté des traces de saleté sur la cuvette des toilettes, ainsi que des taches noires au fond. Nous avons signalé cela à la réception, et quelques minutes plus tard, une femme de ménage âgée est venue. Elle semblait peu professionnelle, a brièvement passé un coup de chiffon et une brosse dans la salle de bain, puis a nettoyé le sol avant de refermer la porte. Après vérification, les taches sur les toilettes et dans la cuvette étaient toujours présentes. Nous avons donc dû nettoyer nous-mêmes. Le lendemain, de nouveaux problèmes sont apparus : l’évacuation du bain était bouchée, le lavabo également, et la chasse d’eau des toilettes fuyait en continu. Une fois de plus, nous avons signalé ces problèmes à la réception, qui a promis l’intervention d’un technicien. En revenant à la chambre, nous avons constaté que la cuvette des toilettes avait été récurée, mais que l’évacuation restait partiellement obstruée et que la fuite persistait. Le service était loin de répondre aux standards d’un hôtel 4 étoiles. Aucun geste d’excuse n’a été proposé, et cette expérience a malheureusement affecté notre séjour à Budapest. Nous regrettons d’avoir choisi cet établissement.

What a saga this stay was!!! The staff was very unfriendly; the hospitality and customer service was the worst we've ever experienced. We've purchased TWO of their more expensive and, what was supposed to be, nicer rooms. They turned out to be extremely dirty. The carpets were filthy, the walls were dirty, all written on, the floors were dirty. The only positive thing that we could say, was that the linens on the bed were clean and ironed. The air conditioning was very poor and malfunctioning (while the weather was hot and humid). The windows and curtains were dirty and full of dust. We informed the reception of the rooms condition immediately after arriving and they sent the cleaners the second day - so they cleaned the carpet. They offered us another room to move into which was equally dirty (food dried on the carpets, incredible dirty...). The reception mentioned that they were aware about the poor condition of the rooms (!!!) as they were receiving complaints from the hotel guests. They also indicated that they’ve been having also problems with their management. But why was that our problem?!? They've never offered a discount for their poor services. Park Plaza Hotel in Budapest made our stay at their hotel very unpleasant. Will be glad to share pictures of our poor experience at this hotel. Never again!

When we were able to check in we went to our room and it was like a furnace and the heat was rising.Air con could not be regulated so we alerted front desk.....we found staff rude and not very helpful.Instead of fixing the aircon they turned it off so we had to sleep in room with windows open not ideal in November...Also we had arranged room to be serviced and that also was not done until we again had to tell them at the front desk. We stay in hotels a lot and we have stayed here before but the level of service and attitude we got we wont use it again or recommend it

The rooms, bathrooms and hallways are super outdated. The place just needs to be deep cleaned and shampooed; it truly smells old and dusty. Carpets need to be ripped out and the floors just re-done altogether. While it’s a fine hotel for a couple of nights, it’s certainly not the luxury place they market it as. Best thing about my room and my stay, overall, was the beautiful view of the Danube River and the Parliament from my balcony.

Hotel in 2 parts, got to experience both. The side that has all 800-900 rooms can be noisy due to resonance, and get hot in the summer, especially the ones under the roof.

The location is great and we were met by very friendly staff and a great first impression. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and the shower was cold however, we were eventually advised to run the sink tap at the same time but had had 2 nights of cold showers by this point which could have been easily avoided.

We had a very enjoyable stay and the view was breathtaking. Would highly recommended this hotel, and pay the little extra fir yhe river view as so worth it.
We had a very enjoyable stay and the view was breathtaking. Would highly recommended this hotel, and pay the little extra fir yhe river view as so worth it.

Received a room with 2 beds rather than 1 as originally requested when booked. Had to go back to reception to get the VIP discount voucher as this was not given to me at check in. Tenía muchas expectativas con este hotel pero hubo un incidente que arruinó esta experiencia. Llegamos cansados a comer algo al bistró bar y un dependiente ( un hombre ya mayor ) le dice a mi hija si no ordenas en 5 minutos ya no van a comer pero en una forma muy grosera, ella le explica que quiere el huevo bien cocido y el más grosero aún le dice que huevo frito solo hay una forma de hacerlo , yo estoy en una mesa sentada y me paro y le digo a ella que esa mala forma es inaceptable que yo nunca permitiría que alguien la trate así , la mala forma y el maltrato fue grado superlativo. Fuimos al front Desk a quejarnos y no había nadie de la gerencia en la noche ,dejamos la queja con un empleado llamado Marci , quisimos dejarlo así porque quizá ese hombre del bar necesitaba ese trabajo y no seguimos con la queja para no meter al señor en problemas pero deberían darle un entrenamiento mejor y profesional a los empleados porque es muy decepcionante que lo traten a uno de esa manera y más cuando uno va a vacacionar y a pasarla bien en familia. Por este incidente no recomendaría este hotel a alguien que quiera pasar un tiempo agradable en la bella Budapest con su familia.

Hotel asked if they could arranger transfer from the airport to the hotel so we asked them for this service & sent our flight details as requested.But when we landed at the airport we waited but no-one was there to pick us up. So we phoned the hotel and they told us sorry no -one had dealt with the request at their end & no-one was available now unfortunately to pick us up. So we had to make our own last minute arrangements to get from the airport to the hotel. And when we arrived at the hotel, no-one at Check-in mentioned this, no apology to us in person, no acknowledgement, nothing, no room upgrade, no free dinner offer by way of goodwill, no offer to cover the transport fee, not even offer for late checkout. I thought that was really poor customer service. As a Radisson member we have stayed in many hotels - that has never happened to us before, usually when you request a hotel transfer & send flight details they don’t just ignore it, there should have been a goodwill gesture. We did get late checkout in the end, but only after I requested it, it was never offered. The manager said he had been contacted by Expedia after I relayed check-in experience and he could offer late checkout - but that was during my phone call to front desk to request the late checkout; he said he was going to speak to me, but he really wasn’t proactive at all. So that marred things a lot, didn’t feel like a valued guest at all I’m afraid. Location is excellent, rooms outdated but excellent view.

This hotel was ideal for a city break in Budapest - around a 5/10 min walk to the Chain Bridge you could pop across into the livelier Pest side really easily but also just a 10 min walk up to the Castle on the Buda side. The bar was lovely and great value for money. Breakfast was fine and did the job. Views across the Danube amazing and the noon check out time was a plus! All the staff were really friendly and the hotel was very clean. We paid extra for a Danube View room with a view of Parliament - this was really special, especially when lit up at night time.

When we were able to check in we went to our room and it was like a furnace and the heat was rising.Air con could not be regulated so we alerted front desk.....we found staff rude and not very helpful.Instead of fixing the aircon they turned it off so we had to sleep in room with windows open not ideal in November...Also we had arranged room to be serviced and that also was not done until we again had to tell them at the front desk. We stay in hotels a lot and we have stayed here before but the level of service and attitude we got we wont use it again or recommend it

Absolutely fantastic location. It’s in the Buda side, opposite the parliament building. There is a metro station five minutes up the road and a range of great restaurants behind the hotel. Staff were very helpful.

We stayed for 1 week. Nice view of Donau river and parlament and spacious room in 5th floor. Service was good in reception. Nice view of river and quiet despite being next to road. Rooms were old and worn down. Housekeeping needs improvement: not changing all towels every day, not changing used glasses, not vacuuming floor. They did this after calling reception, but it gets tiresome to do this multiple times during our stay. Rooms are not clean, walls and carpet have stains. Breakfast was ok, hot and cold buffet, but limited selection. Juice was not fresh. Croissants tasted burnt.
