Hotel is in an excellent location very close to the cathedral. Bells were NOT chiming on the hour so sleep was not interupted. This is an “older” hotel with charm and character, with easy walking to cafes, bars, restaurants, river, Old Town and El Cid statue. Room was a good size with view towards cathedral and adjacent square. Buffet breakfast had a good selection of items, which should suit most guests. The only downside was that taxis cannot pull up direcectly outside the reception. The access road is on a slightly higher level with a few steps down to the entrance. This may be an issue for some elderly guests or those with a lot of luggage. In summary, a good hotel in a good location, recommended.

The only issue is having to buzz the door in order to get in at night. I go in and out a lot to smoke and so I had to keep pushing a button and asking to be let back in.

On arrival we had a warm welcome and despite not having a garage space reserved reception managed to sort me one out. BOOK BY PHONE FOR A GARAGE.IN ADVANCE. Its only 18euro and you will be pleased you did. Please note you may not have a view of thr cathedral from your room

Everything was as expected EXCEPT the parking lot was full so parking was not actually available near the property. (15 min walk away). If visiting again I would reserve a parking spot. This was a last minute selection and overall i was happy with it. It was clean and the employees were helpful and polite.

Fantastic place to stay, right in the middle of all the sites. Parking costs but well worth it as otherwise you may struggle. Breakfast was buffet and lovely. Would definitely recommend.

The hotel is just beautiful with an amazing view of the Cathedral of Burgos. The surrounding area is lovely and very walkable to the city’s attractions and to the bus station if you arrive by bus. Beware - there are a lot of stairs to climb if you choose to walk to the hotel.

Crisol de Meson del Cid hand amazing views of the Cathedral of Burgos. It also had beautiful, spacious rooms which were spotless and attentive, helpful staff. The breakfast was filling and varied. It was within walking distance of many attractions, cafe's , restaurants, and shopping.

Trap. The room was in just plain worn out old condition. Worn out beyond any normal period of renovation. The brass fixings in the bathroom are from the 1980\'s, the cracked and moving floor tiles as well. The holes and stains in the wall and spots on the bathroom floor when I arrived. This is not a place to stay unless you have no self-respect. This hotel can’t be called 3 stars. There is no functioning restaurant other than breakfast. There are no real services outside of a person in reception. There is a restaurant, but it was probably closed during Covid and was not reopened as it costs money to operate. Why spend money when it is easy to cheat the pilgrims and foreigners that are coming for the El Camino de Santiago. What a shame. The room is booked with a pre-paid condition but said, "refer to hotel policies for their change policy". I booked for 6 nights as I had come to Burgos for a death in my family. I paid more to have the fare that was listed as changeable until 2 nights before the visit. Once I arrived, I was given this sad room with no chance to cancel the room. I had asked about departing early as my father\'s funeral completed after only 3 days in Burgos. I was told by the lady in reception that I would need to be "admitted to a hospital or have died to get out of here. Can you believe that? How disappointing this hotel is, to cheat people like this. I have many photos to share if you would like to see.

Los apartamentos no son lo que salen en la página web. Lo principal no tienen aire acondicionado y hacia un calor horrible, las habitaciones muy incomodas con los techos muy bajos! Perfect position for exploring the town right opposite the cathedral. Hotel is fine but over night is was really noisy with shouting in the square opposite most of the night. Also if you use the hotel garage be aware the if you have a low fronted sports car coming out you will ground the front of your car ! The is no alternative to damage. Going in is fine. My car was a Porsche Cayman and the other an Aston Martin.

From the moment we arrived the staff were so helpful. The woman on reception was such a great help, very welcoming and took time to explain everything. Breakfast was delicious with everything replenished at speed by the waiter. Check out was also very quick. Would definitely return. Hotel is in a great location by the Cathedral and has parking.

It’s a classy kind of hotel with a perfect location in Burgos. It’s worth to book a room with view to the cathedral. We didn’t have breakfast included so we paid for it; staff was very kind but the food repositioning took ages, I do not recommend it.

Excellent location in the heart of everything. Great room and bathroom. The breakfast selection is bad. The eggs were mixed with that wet ham that Spaniards love--we hate it. The coffee machine gave me barely-warm milk instead of hot coffee. The television worked only when it wanted to. The front desk tried to help.
