Gutes Hotel für Sightseeing in Köln. Alles gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Tiefgarage ist recht eng und die Zimmereinrichtung in die Jahre gekommen. Beim Frühstück ist alles da, aber übersichtlich.

The most uncomfortable beds, you get 2 tiny blankets and the oldest pillows. The gym is a joke, the walls are so thin and the gap in the door allows for so much noise to pierce through. I feel like i was catfished. Do not stay here, there are other hotels at better prices. You don't get any toiletries, they don't even have body soap in the shower which also had mold in it. You don't get water so you have to pay at the bar IF they bother to help you. A few times i went to the front desk and no one was to be found. Elevator was broken forcing people to wait for just the 1 or take the stairs. Area is meh, at least you're close to the metro. The laundry was expensive and they didn't even offer it the day we needed it. (Day before Christmas eve)

Vi havde rn overnatning på gennemrejse. Vi kom til et dejligt lyst og rent værelse, med sprød sengelinned. Sengen var blød og det kan jeg godt li’. Vi havde parkering i kælderen til €19, som vi syntes er lige i overkanten. Vi kommer gerne igen.

Hotellet ligger rett ved Severinstrasse stopp hvor flere metro/tbane stopper. Praktisk i forhold til mitt besøk på CBS. Ca 20 minutters gange til sentrum, fint å gå langs elven bort. Veldig hyggelig restaurant/bar på hotellet. Frokosten holdt også god norsk standard i utvalg, kan anbefales

Hotel was clean and easy to find, with a convenient onsite parking garage. Check-in was smooth even late at night. Our room was very spacious with a balcony, good amenities, and even a small cooking area with a hot plate and sink. Location was excellent—just a short walk to the Cologne Cathedral, shopping, and plenty of restaurants.

Ok hotel for the price. Rooms were clean and hotel was generally nice. The staff weren't overly friendly. The gym was bad (no equipment) and the rooms don't have iron (you have to go to level 4).

I wanted to like this hotel as the location was convenient and the room sizes were good, however upon entering the hotel lobby, there was a very strong odor, which seemed to continue throughout the property. Additionally the room was in need of maintenance. The curtains were stained, the ceiling had signs of water damage and the bathroom needed some attention.

Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und man hat alles unmittelbar in der nähe. Die Zimmer sind jedoch alt und dreckig. Zudem sind die Fenster so undicht, dass man den gesamten Strassenlärm der Hauptstrasse hört.

Bit dated. Smelly room. No USB chargers in room. Ironing Room a few floors and other end of the hotel. The ironing boards are thin and tiny. Hotel not good value at all. Wouldn’t stay there again.

A lot of more central hotels were described as 'noisy' and this one wasn't, although it is on two main roads and a tram station We walked from the main train station which took 30-40mins (and you could get public transport, it was reliable when we used it) but you walk through the centre with all the bars and the cathedral Hotel was clean and staff were friendly

The hotel had several issues. From bleach stained carpets to mouldy grout in the showers, holes in the ceiling all over the restaurant areas and reception… it left a lot to be desired. Breakfast facilities were good however, and the beds themselves were clean and comfortable. The in room Tea and coffee facilities are poor, with cheap instant coffee and a kettle.

Excellent hotel . Reception staff very friendly and sorted all our small issues quickly and efficiently. Lift stop in front of reception so easy to carry suitcases etc .Room very clean and comfortable. No noise from street .Very close to places of interest River Rhine cathedrals and buses and ferry. Shops and places to eat on same street just outside hotel so very convenient. Did not have breakfast in hotel as a bit expensive.

Das Zimmer war oberflächlich sauber. Jedoch bei genauerer Betrachtung sah man, dass die Lampenschirme schmutzig waren, die Klotüre versifft war oder auch die Tapeten einen neuen Anstrich benötigen. Auch das Foyer war sehr schmuddelig ebenso wie das Severinsviertel selbst. Vor drei Jahren sah es im Hotel und im Stadtteil anders aus! Sauber und gepflegt nämlich. Schade! Personal war freundlich und bemüht. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und lecker. Da kann man nicht meckern. Aber für 140 Euro/Nacht würde ich hier kein drittes Mal mehr übernachten.

Insgesamt war es eine gute Unterkunft, die aber für ihre 4 Sterne nur „okay“ abschneidet. Leider wurden wir während dem Frühstück sehr unangenehm von einer Personalkraft behandelt, was dazu führte, dass der ganze Tag hin war. Auch beim Check out wurde nicht mehr gefragt, wie der Aufenthalt war, ob es Beschwerden gab etc. Es wurde lediglich bestätigt, dass alles bezahlt wurde gefolgt von einem trockenen „Auf Wiedersehen“. Ich gehe mit einem unguten Gefühl aus dem Hotel und würde es nicht weiter empfehlen.

The staff are lovely and helpful, they printed out conference papers for me and were always very efficient. Breakfast is a huge spread and worth it. Walk down Severinstraße to the Severinstorburg and you'll find a market, lots of cafes, restaurants and more. Also don't miss the Katzentempel cafe if you are a cat fan.

Sehr nettes Personal, guter Empfang, sehr gutes Frühstück (reichlich und es hat an nichts gemangelt) Stadtzentrum gut zu Fuß zu erreichen und wenn Köln als Ziel wieder ansteht, dann kommen wir gerne wieder.

Room was comfortable, warm and clean. Didn’t have the breakfast as we wanted to try various brunch places. Staff were very helpful except on the day we had to check out. There was a queue of at least 10 guests at the reception desk and when I asked if anyone else could help at the desk there was an unclear answer and no one came out from the office to help. We waited for nearly 30 minutes to check out! Very disappointing as other times staff were great.

I booked for myself and my teen. I booked him as a teen but the hotel booked him as a child. There was a very rude lady at breakfast who shouted at me because my son is 14 and not under 12. I was supposed to have free breakfast include for both of us as part of my package. I was charged 24 Euros for my teen who didn’t actually eat anything, and was embarrassed while I was trying to eat my food.

Hotel was clean and easy to find, with a convenient onsite parking garage. Check-in was smooth even late at night. Our room was very spacious with a balcony, good amenities, and even a small cooking area with a hot plate and sink. A lot of more central hotels were described as 'noisy' and this one wasn't, although it is on two main roads and a tram station We walked from the main train station which took 30-40mins (and you could get public transport, it was reliable when we used it) but you walk through the centre with all the bars and the cathedral Hotel was clean and staff were friendly

The hotel is located on a not so pretty part of the city. As a woman travelling solo, I didnt feel so great walking around and avoided going out alone after dark (7 pm). However, the s Bahn sation right next to the hotel was the best thing I can mention about the stay. The room is comfortable but quite old. The carpet had stains, the chair also had stains, and the tv is not smart, so you can only watch shows and series in German. The bathroom was clean, but the shower leaked a lot, I had to be extra careful not to wet the whole bathroom floor. I would not stay there again and I think it was not at all worth the price

The Mercure in Severinstraße is very comfortable and convenient. 10 minutes walk to the shopping district. Beside a tram station from where yiu can go anywhere in Cologne. Severinstraße itself is well stocked with restaurants, shops etc so everything is to hand

Very nice hotel. Wanted to stay another night but was cheaper to pack stuff check out and check back into another room 🤔 Hotel needs to look at this. Breakfast very good including gluten free opinions, although no sperate toaster for the gluten free waffles also vegan and vegetarian.

Also wir fanden die Betten überhaupt nicht gut zum schlafen , das Frühstück war nicht lecker die Brötchen waren viel zu hart gebacken Und den Kunden kommen sie auch nicht entgegen Wir mussten wegen Krankheit früher abreisen und haben noch nicht mal das Geld vom Frühstück für die Folge Tage zurück bekommen da wir ja eh nicht mehr dran teil genommen haben

The rooms are functional and staff really helpful, disappointed about the mould in the bathroom, on the silicon and tiles was off putting. The mini fridge didn’t seem to get cold either so while these are minor really, it’s fair to mention them. I would definitely stay again and it’s in a great spot to discover the city.
