Noisy, dated and NO AC. Extremely loud on the street until 5am with people screaming and laughing, trains and cars non stop until the 2am. Without a working AC and cannot open the windows, it was hot and a sleepless night... Very friendly staff to provide a small fan but again too loud to use. Check in and check out was easy, 25 euro parking fee was a bit expensive. There is only one lift for the entire hotel, so long wait time during checkout time. We picked this one due to last minute booking, will choose a quieter hotel next time.

Downstairs common area (reception and bar) were freezing cold. Bar only had one lager (Bitburger) which was horrible. On arrival talked to reception about parking. Found the car park was closed due to renovation (this was not notified in advance as I had picked the hotel on its parking availability as I was driving round Europe and I was knackered) and male staff member extremely unhelpful about alternatives. No local amenities such as bars and restaurants near hotel. On street parking overlly subscribed making it difficult to park. Spent a good hour roaming the streets looking for parking. Otherwise OK ( I was being facetious if you had not picked it up.

Grote kamer (2 volw 1 kind), erg schone kamer en badkamer en erg beleefd personeel. Hotel heeft een eigen parkeerkelder waar je auto veilig staat. Veel winkels en eetgelegenheden in de buurt. Maar 10 min rijden naar de oude binnenstad. Dit hotel is een echte aanrader.

Décevant pour un hôtel de cette gamme Séjour correct dans l’ensemble, avec un check-in et check-out fluides, mais l’expérience ne correspond pas au standing attendu. Chambre datée, confort basique, aucun nécessaire de courtoisie. Le parking (25€/nuit) était difficile d’accès à cause d’une porte défectueuse, sans aucun geste commercial malgré l’attente répétée. Accueil inégal : une réceptionniste peu aimable, une autre ayant oublié notre demande. Chambre attribuée loin de l’ascenseur, malgré les difficultés de mobilité de ma mère. Beaucoup de petits désagréments qui ont rendu le séjour inutilement stressant.

Verder prima kamer..badkamer schoon, wel oud hotel maar niks mis mee. Leuke bar beneden. Ligging is ideaal. Op 6 min. afstand van het Centraal station. Ongeveer 15 minuten lopen naar Königsallee.

The staff were nice and the hotel was in a good location close to the train station. The rooms were quite noisy on a night. We booked a non smoking room which we were given but our room stank of cigarette smoke. We opened the window to try see if the smell would go away and went out for the afternoon after we had checked in but when we returned the smell was still there. We asked to change rooms but were told the hotel was full and because we hadn’t only just checked in they couldn’t move us. The staff were kind and did give us a complementary drink and spray some air freshener in the room but this still didn’t mask the smell of the smoke. We wouldn’t return.

For the price, this hotel is excellent value. Location is ideal, just 5 minutes from the railway station in a commercial area. Rooms were clean and tidy, nothing special but more than adequate for our needs. Be careful when getting a taxi though. There are 3 Mercures in Dusseldorf, two being City Centre and Centrum. Don’t do an unnecessary tour of the city like I did.

The room needs an upgrade, new pillows wouldn’t go amiss, the old fridge ‘unit’ has holes drilled into it, the bathroom is tired, new sink and perhaps some drain cleaner down the bath plug hole - a shower screen that keeps the water in and doesn’t flood the floor. We did not have housekeeping in the 3 days, just a knock on the door around 6pm and some clean towels handed over. For a 4 star hotel I expected a lot better. It was okay - nothing more.

The suite I stayed in had some weird quirks. First, the shower was constricted to a 3 ft x 3 ft square raised about 20 cm from the floor. If you were to slip in it, you'd be at serious risk of face planting against the counter next to the shower (I know because I nearly did, the shower and floor itself were very slippery when wet). Second, the single twin bed in my room barely had any bedding, just two pillows, a mattress cover, and a duvet. The mattress was okay but not terribly comfortable. I definitely had a budget suite! I don't know if it reflects the typical quality of their rooms, but claiming that Mercure City Center is a 4-star hotel is definitely pushing it based on what I observed. On the plus side, the staff were very friendly and the breakfast options were top notch. Location also can't be beat. I don't know if I would stay again. As time passes I'll probably forget the critical parts of this review.

We stayed for a week in a privilege room which was large and comfortable. The room was cleaned every day and all the staff were extremely helpful when we needed advice etc. Our room was on the front on the 1st floor, so it did have some traffic / people noise at peak times but if you want to stay in the city you have to expect this. Value for money this hotel was excellent and we would stay here again and worth the little extra for a privilege room.

Aircon didn't work. Was on full, but just blows out room temperature air. Was told it would be fixed but wasn't so had to borrow a fan as far too hot to sleep. Only a single socket vaguely close to the bed, which was used by the TV, so I had to unplug it for the fan. Two sets of double glazed windows behind each other (which can be opened) so zero noise from outside. Price was really good for Gamescom week however.

Good location, but quite a dated hotel. There is no Air Conditioning, just a very old cooling system that was totally ineffective. Our room was unbearably hot. There was a fridge in the room but this wasn’t working. On the positives, the hotel is very reasonably priced and the staff were very friendly and efficient.

Staff are very polite, professional and were happy to help. However the hotel operation was quite disappointing. I booked a room which specifically stated a safe/deposit box was included. The hotel failed to provide this on my first day but arranged to move me to another room the next day. I still had to put a deposit for the safe. However the AC in the new room was not working ( could not be fixed on a Sunday ) and the pillows were rock hard. All in all, the stay turned out as too much hassle for just two nights.

Personal war nett und freundlich. Sind allerdings erst 1,5 Std später auf das Zimmer gekommen (16:30 Uhr), was nicht o.K. war. Zimmer war o.K., Betten waren TOP! Hatten sogar einen kleinen Balkon, der allerdings renovierungsbedürftig war. Hat uns aber nicht weiter gestört.

Einzelzimmer. Für 2 Nächte und Preis/Leistung ist es ok. Es ist alles etwas in die Jahre gekommen (Bad war ok) und die Matratze (bzw. eine Art Topper) ist ständig verrutscht, inkl. des Lakens (mehr ein dünnes Leichentuch). Sehr gut die Klimaanlage bei den hohen Außentemperaturen. Trotz des Schlummerschildes an der Zimmertür meinte die Reinigungsfachkraft, sich fortlaufend lautstark unterhalten zu müssen und mit ihrem klappernden Wäsche-/Getränkewagen rauf und runter zu fahren. Einfach mal drüber nachdenken. Das Frühstück für 25 € ist völlig überteuert.

Ligger perfekt lige i centrum af Düsseldorf, tæt på butikker og restauranter. Dejlig morgenmadsbuffet, dog et lidt kedeligt lokale det foregår i. Vi brugte hotellet til en overnatning på vej hjem fra bilferie i syd Europa. Meget flik og hjælpsom personale.
