The spa facilities were poor! I use this hotel for the gym & pool/sauna steam room. The steam room has been out of action now for the past month plus the Sauna wasn't working this morning.

Stayed at this property for convenience and thoroughly enjoyed my time here - lovely room and facilities at the Spa. I can't comment on meals as did not eat whilst there. The hotel is situated just off a busy dual carriageway so not great for me running whilst staying there and they only had Tesla recharge points so not good if you don't happen to have a Tesla!

It was a very handy location. Whilst the stay was comfortable the Hotel itself appears dated and lacking a loving touch. Neither the steam room nor the Jacuzzi were working in The Leisure Club (which was a factor in us choosing the hotel) so the sauna was full constantly.Pool was a touch cool too. Not a lot of staff present and breakfast whilst fine seemed to have been stood for some time. Will give it another go as locations suits for regular visits to that area.

The staff were really good! Booked us in for breakfast when we arrived which meant that we didn’t have to pay 4 adults (if we had to book online) for 2 adults 2 children. 2 Hot tubs were available but no jacuzzi, that was drained but no bother. The spa facilities were great. Pool wasn’t the warmest to start with but if you were in and moving it’s perfectly fine. No complaints from us or the children! Plenty of people swimming when we were in. Food was tasty and service was quick and attentive. Room was clean and modern. No complaints. Thanks for a great stay!

On arrival, the receptionist was not very polite or helpful. She was very brusque and answered our questions before we had even finished. She asked us to register our car which we did but have received a parking fine, which we do not intend to pay. Please have this removed and inform us in writing once actioned.Details Car Reg GL54 FCA CLK 240 Avant. Ticket issued 08/08/2025. PCN12590379687 Date 03/03/2025 16.56 48 - this is the time we actually arrived at the Hotel and were registering. We were having problems with the receptionist because as a disable person i person have problems climbing stairs and she said that there were no room downstairs because there was a party going on that night. In the morning at breakfast I asked if a party had taken place and was told no. My blue badge was clearly displayed in the car. RoomThe sink had a leaking tap which has caused unsightly rust, all the soap were empty or nearly empty. There is a big stain on mattress bottom left side. We left the room on the Monday to use the Spa when I got back to the room about 3 pm the room had not been cleaned and I had to ask a maid to make up the bed and she did while I was in the room, the bathroom was not touched and dirty glasses and tea cups were just left, bins were not emptied. I was not going to leave a review but feel that your service was very poor I look forward to a speedy response especially regarding the. Parking ticket.

Plenty of parking and a smooth check in but very little information is given. Stayed for one night to celebrate anniversary. The room was similar to a travelodge room but had everything you needed. No air conditioning so the room was like a sauna and uncomfortable so we had very little sleep. The spa was okay, the hot tubs were closed for cleaning but even when open were grubby. The jacuzzi wasn't working properly, sauna was great, steam room had tissue over the sensory so we took it off the first day and it was still in there the next so it had not been cleaned. Breakfast was a good selection but had clearly been sat out for a while and was dry. The bar wasn't particularly welcoming and was dark and dingy. It wasn't quite the relaxing break we had wanted.

I stayed for 4 nights and was upgraded to a family size room, not sure why but thank you. Good buffet breakfast. Spa facilities available. There is no lift available to upper floors because of the age of the hotel, I was told. I would definitely book again.

We've been to Hogs Back several times befire lockdown; however, this visit didn't start well. We ordered a family room with an extra single and sofa. The room was a mess, unclean toilet, scuffed sideboards and furniture. The beds had soiled sheets with hairs all over. The window has bird mess on the glass, spiders webs and dust. We highlighted this and was moved to another room; slightly better but at £140@ night, so disappointed. We were told since lockdown there're under management and that they've had problems with the other properties. The only upside was the breakfast, goid selection and courteous staff. In short don't waste your time nor your money.

The floor around the breakfast area was very dirty and looked like it had not been cleaned. Also i think its bad that when having breakfast you cant sit by any of the windows as this is closed off. We also found the hot tubs to be dirty

Stayed in family room and it was unbelievably hot in the room the entire stay. Window was open all night and was still so hot, very uncomfortable. When mentioned in the morning the reception staff responded with "ah, yeah, they are like that" Dirty sock left in the room under the bed. TV remote was unusable. Half the buttons didn't work including channel up.

The hotel is impressive from the outside and looks quite upmarket. Inside is reasonably clean and tidy. The carpets are a bit tired in the rooms and hallways and the room had hairs on the headboards. The rooms was extremely warm and a 4 inch opening window did nothing to alleviate a very warm room.

Room was ok size, but everything looked a bit tired. Mould around the window, no air-con - which I would have expected for the price. Breakfast was OK but again the breakfast room was grubby, and plenty of empty tables that hadn't been cleaned away. The staff I dealt with were all pleasant and helpful, but for the price I had higher expectations of this hotel.

Overall was good. Just it could be better to check cleaning on sofa's and bed. There were stains on the sofa that had not been removed. It can be easily cleaned by sofa or carpet cleaner. Also On the Sidewall of the bed there were traces of dirt, something like a stretch with the bottom of a shoe or a suitcase, which had not been cleaned. Paper tissue on bed sides had been finished. Some insects were visible on the wall and curtain. In reception desk, officers should be always present also in restaurant check-in for breakfast. All of them were not main problems but need to be managed and check by More carefully and responsibility by staffs. All in all I recommend there and I will go there again.

Room was spacious, clean and tidy. Good water pressure and plenty of hot water for the three of us. Excellent breakfast! We only stayed a night so can't comment on the other amenities. Lovely view of the countryside from our window. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Super convenient for Farnham and Aldershot. Great deal on our family room. Would definitely stay again.

Great hotel, great facilities considering the price. Great service from the staff. Lovely comfortable stay in a good sized room. The hotel is next to a busy road so I would probably recommend to ask for a room at the back of the hotel to minimise thevtraffic noise. My only disappointment was that (in pur room, for this stay) all the power sockets are located at the opposite end of the room to the headboard of the bed. So we could nog charge our phones and have them in easy reach, and the fan that was provided too far away to be very helpful

The hotel has some really good things and some not so, the room was a good size, loads of plugs and USB ports in the bedroom and beside the bed, bed was comfortable, there was a nespresso coffee machine in the room, we didnt have a very good view and the glass in the window had blown, I wish hotels either did baths or did showers but not try and do both cos they never get them right, to high to step into the bath to have a shower and I'm not tall but my head was about 2inches away from the shower head, there was hair in the plug hole too, the towels were a bit small and a little thin and no heated towel rail, breakfast could have been hotter, but there was a good selection. The staff were pleasant but I think they were all rushed as didn't have the time to be friendly, and that makes a difference, quite nicely decorated inside but with a building like this they could so much more. for a one night stay it was ok I wouldn't want to pay more than I did though

Nice property with fantastic staff, I was going to an event close by but forgot to print the tickets, so asked reception if they would mind printing them for me, which they kindly did. Once I had returned home I realised I had left behind my Apple pen, when I contacted the hotel regarding this they were able to locate the pen and return it to me, thank you

We recently stayed at the Hogs Back hotel and spa for two nights. And were extremely impressed with the customer service. It is very rare to find a hotel where across the board the staff are helpful and polite and greet to you with a smile when we visited the health club we were offered a tour of the facilities and the procedure for borrowing towels, robes and padlocks was clearly explained to us by a girl called Katie without us even having to ask. she was excellent! Equally, we had a problem with our television in the room and this was quickly rectified by Leo on reception who could not have been more accommodating. The restaurant staff were also friendly and helpful. One member of staff who stood out here was a girl called Izzy who again was exceptional. Well done, hogs back, you either have very good customer service training or are very particular in your recruitment process.

Automated check-in process felt very impersonal, none at the reception desk most of the times. Hotel itself is ok but there was a wedding with loud music until midnight and we were given a room just above the dancing area so not a particularly relaxing evening! Buffet breakfast was ok, decent variety of options including lacto free/almond/soya/oat milk and fresh fruit. Tesla supercharger outside of the hotel was a useful added bonus.

Relaxing, but phone in room never worked, called hotel services from mobile never answered and for a disable person who finds mobility a problem i dont recommend staying here as also was ment to have a ground floor room. Manager was unhelpful.

On arrival, the receptionist was not very polite or helpful. She was very brusque and answered our questions before we had even finished. She asked us to register our car which we did but have received a parking fine, which we do not intend to pay. Please have this removed and inform us in writing once actioned.Details Car Reg GL54 FCA CLK 240 Avant. Ticket issued 08/08/2025. PCN12590379687 Date 03/03/2025 16.56 48 - this is the time we actually arrived at the Hotel and were registering. We were having problems with the receptionist because as a disable person i person have problems climbing stairs and she said that there were no room downstairs because there was a party going on that night. In the morning at breakfast I asked if a party had taken place and was told no. My blue badge was clearly displayed in the car. RoomThe sink had a leaking tap which has caused unsightly rust, all the soap were empty or nearly empty. There is a big stain on mattress bottom left side. We left the room on the Monday to use the Spa when I got back to the room about 3 pm the room had not been cleaned and I had to ask a maid to make up the bed and she did while I was in the room, the bathroom was not touched and dirty glasses and tea cups were just left, bins were not emptied. The hotel facilities and rooms were pretty good, in general it's clean, tidy and uncluttered. I think place offers a good price / quality balance. The food in the restaurant was a bit hit and miss, the team is not used to dealing with large groups as the wait for our food was borderline unacceptable. The main disappointment was they didn't really try to get the kids food before the adults so we had two impatient kids getting bored for a hour before they could eat anything. Last but not least I found really annoying that the guy in charge of the pool area decided to hose down the pool floor whilst we were swimming with the kids and then he used the emergency door labeled as "emergency door, do not open", as his shortcut, leaving it propes open whislt the pool was full of guests, that's clearly not how you operate a pool area that's in use.

Stayed at this property for convenience and thoroughly enjoyed my time here - lovely room and facilities at the Spa. I can't comment on meals as did not eat whilst there. The hotel is situated just off a busy dual carriageway so not great for me running whilst staying there and they only had Tesla recharge points so not good if you don't happen to have a Tesla!

My satnav didn't recognise the postcode on the location's website and I must have spent 15-20 minutes driving round the local area before I found the hotel. Apparently a lot of satnavs don't know the location and it's better instead to use the postcode from the garage next door. Arrival therefore could have been a bit less flustered. Once there, impressed with the facilities, the room, the pool/sauna and the breakfast.

Tesla Charging, comfy bed, super clean and friendly staff! Only downside was I was on the ground floor, the road noise was really loud and I just couldn't sleep. I looked round the room for earplugs but couldn't find any. I would advise the hotel to ensure that these are always available in each room.

Room was really good . Bed & linen very comfy. Food was excellent in restaurant at both evening meal & breakfast Sadly no draft as prob but was not hotels fault . Would recommend The Hogs Back particularly close po stay if you are visiting for Pirbright /Camberley Army Training camps etc.

Lovely view of the countryside from our window. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Super convenient for Farnham and Aldershot. Great deal on our family room. Would definitely stay again.

There is not much choice of food Sun-Thurs just a bar menu. The pool was freezing and so was the jacuzzi Its also not normal for children to be allowed in the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi. They had also run out of towels in the spa Breakfast was good

Friendly staff in reception and restaurant, amazing facilities clean and little things that are considered eg bag for wet swimwear in pool. Only complaint is the electrical equipment in room is out of date for PAT testing( I'm a health and safety officer so notice these things) and the food in restaurant, mainly breakfast could be improved as it was cold... Might be better to let guests order as they come in than the buffer style

The room was not ready to check in at 2pm so we were told to wait in the bar (with no discount for the inconvenience) . In the bar we ordered a club sandwich which took 40 minutes to be brought to the table - cold. Very small portion of a main course superfood salad. The leisure centre was good. Breakfast average. We stayed for one night and after reading a few of the reviews I was a bit apprehensive, but our stay was lovely. The staff were very nice and friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was lovely and the room was very clean and nice. The only thing that we were disappointed with was the jacuzzi stopped working just before we got into it. Other than that all was great.

Booked breakfast both days. Very disappointed with the food not being available. The containers were not being replenished and guests had to wait for them to be topped up . Both days we had the problem and had to eat only what was available, spoiling the experience.

Chap on reception was not helpful and quite rude. Room was hot. Far to hot. I thought the heating was on. I know hotel rooms can be warm but this was like a sauna all night. The little desktop fan didnt really cut it
