The elevator situation is appalling. It is a very busy hotel and many bus groups use it. At busy times you can wait 15 minutes to even squeeze into one. Today my son and I had to carry four cases down three flights because our Uber was waiting

The in-hotel dining options were confusing. Signs near entrance and lobby area & hallways indicated several restaurants but it was confusing as to which restaurant had what specials and the restaurant locations. Hotel was undergoing construction work on several floors - the update was desperately needed as the hallways felt narrow, dark, old and not particularly clean.

As usual the lifts are the slowest in the world! Always having to wait for ages. No twin rooms available for my stay apparently. Bathrooms need a serious referb as do the corridors with the terrible red carpets. TV reception terrible and WiFi very slow

Very Central London Location, Great for shopping in Oxford Street and Very Handy for British Museum. Checked in with no issues, but Lifts can be demanding, as far too many rooms for the amount of Lifts and one was out of Order for the duration of our stay. So waited for about 5 Lifts as we were on 5th floor and they were full going down on check out with Luggage. No Air Con, so very uncomfortable during London Heatwave.

Room was extremely dated, receptionist was quite rude. No air con in room which got so hot I was sweating so had to open window which ment a lot of noise through out the night, directions from lift/stairs to room was extremely bad that I got lost first time trying to find room. For such a busy central London hotel the lifts where less than adequate, with one not working at all. Hotel is renovating for the next 3, so at least one lift (sometimes 2) was always out if service which created huge lines in the lobby and in our floor. The room we stayed in was already redone - very nice, very clean

Pretty terrible, unclean and needs an update. The walls were unclean, bathroom was ancient, the pressure in the sink was nonexistent, shower hewd fell down every time. Could hear EVERYTHING that was happening outside the room, no sound proofing at all. Paid way too much for a bad room.

The hotel is in a great location. The room I had was small and grubby. I had to ask for assistance with a blocked drain and recurring problems with the air conditioning which wasn’t working properly and affected my sleep. The breakfast was disappointing with limited choice and difficulty finding a cup and cutlery when I visited.There are also no drawers in the rooms apart from hanging space your living out of your suitcase

First room absolutely stunk of cheesy feet and damp. Carpet was wet. Got moved next door which was better. Room was very basic and that was a new upgraded room. Being on the 10th floor the room we had had something on the roof above us as outside our window there was loud banging and metal moving. There were high winds so whatever it was went on all night. Really loud even with the windows closed. Then someone kept calling the phone in the room gone midnight. So that was unplugged!!!!! Great location for the Dominion theatre. I would stay again if I was ever doing that theatre again. Just certainly not the two rooms we had.

The lobby was nice and modern and welcoming, but that’s where it ended. The room failed to meet the standard shown in the pictures. We’d upgraded to the “superior double room” however the room was very worn and dusty. We didn’t end up staying the night and checked out the same day due to the condition.

Excellent clean room and hotel. Round the corner from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street where all the shops are. Very near Tottenham Court Road underground station. Check-in was excellent and front of house staff were too. Housekeeping very good. Come and check the maids have been. Safe and fridge/ bottle rack in the room. Enjoyed it so much that I'm going back in January for more days.

On arrival we found the room was too small for 2 people, there was no hot water in the very small bathroom and a plumber had to be sent for. A light bulb not working in the shower. and the shower tray was thick with mildew. Needing a drink in the room after a long journey there were two cups and only one saucer. One of the restaurants had a very limited menu and four of the choices were all the same vegetables regardless of if you choose fish or chicken. On the last day the breakfast room was very crowded, there were lots of very dirty tables and we had to clear dirty pots ourselves. Then found there was no clean dishes available, coffee mugs or drinking glasses. We had ask for cutlery and we very disappointed with the lack of service.

We stayed here for 2 mid-week nights. The hotel is conveniently located for theatre land and other attractions. Tottenham Court Road tube station is just 5 minutes walk away. Our clean, well prepared room was a newly refurbished Signature room, whilst not that big and with limited storage it was comfortable and had everything we needed for our short night stay. It also had air conditioning. Nice walk-in shower with ample hot water. We went room only and took breakfast in the co-located VQ Restaurant enjoying excellent freshly cooked meals served by friendly staff. If you arrive early, they are happy to store your luggage free of charge. Staff were helpful. Only slight downside was just one person free wifi access per room. For a 3 star hotel in central London, we consider it very good and would have no problem staying here again for a short stay.

Perfect location for the Dominion theatre and was relatively quiet of outside noise. Room looked modern and recently updated, but a number of issues that made it lack functionality. We booked a double urban room and had a room with a double and single bed. Room didn’t feel cramped, but lacked storage. Double bed small and a bit hard with just one pillow each. Trying to relax we had to sit on the bed as only one chair, however as the bed was on a wooden floor it kept moving so we had to keep moving it back to the wall. The bathroom was small, lack space for toiletries and only had one hook for hanging up a towel. Biggest problem was the room was light at night as the blinds wouldn’t shut fully and had a gap at the top. The fridge in the room but it had a glass door and an internal light that we couldn’t switch off so we had to put our small suitcase in front of the door to block out some light. Also there are opaque glass in the bathroom door and the bathroom window in the wall that is within the bedroom. Using the light in the bathroom at night made the bedroom lighter and disturbed the other person. Renovations ongoing and we heard banging from 8am despite a note saying it would be between 9am & 5pm. When we left we waited almost 10 minutes for a lift as none stopped at our floor, ended up having to go down the stairs to get the lift to the right floor to then take luggage down.

The air conditioning, or whatever the big box under my window was wasn’t really working. All It did was letting all the noise from the outside into the room. The door has about an inch gap underneath. So sleep in the morning was impossible with all the noise going on. Bed and pillows very pretty comfortable on the other hand. Hope the reconstruction will cover the rooms in the future too.

While the hotel is clean and the staff offer good service, I unfortunately can’t recommend staying here. My double room was so small that it barely fit the bed, and the air conditioning was extremely noisy. The bathroom was tiny, which is fine, but the poor sound insulation made it impossible to relax — I could hear everything from the neighboring rooms. Despite the central London location, the overall experience was disappointing.

Checked in and left our bags to go sightseeing and to the theatre. Returned at 2100 after a lot of messing around by the receptionist we were given the key to our allocated room. On entering the room we were greeted by two guests in the bed! Very upsetting and distressing for them and an embarrassing shock for us. We went down to reception to be met with staff who seemed to find this amusing and didn’t understand why we were shocked and angry. After another 40 minutes we were allocated another room, by which time we had missed our dinner reservation with friends. We slept poorly as we didn’t feel secure, half expecting someone to barge in at any moment! No recompense was offered except free access to the executive Wi-Fi and 20% off a meal in the restaurant. There was already an offer on for every guest for 25% off!!!!! The manager this morning was no help in fact he bordered upon rude and was very dismissive when I mentioned our ordeal he said it would be discussed at the morning meeting and feedback given to me via email Needless to say I’ve heard nothing! This breech of security and privacy is totally unacceptable and such poor customer service is deplorable I am asking Hotels. Com to look into this and feedback to me what this Hotel intends to do to make up for ruining our weekend

Terrible! Upon check in assigned me three rooms, yes three, that had already been occupied. So I walked in on three people unexpectedly. When asked to complain to the manager, the said manager offered me a cancellation and suggested “you can always go elsewhere”. Avoid this hotel! London is a great city don’t let this hotel spoil your experience

Perfect location with easy access to so much of London as it is close to tube and train. Disinterested staff at check-in and when asked other questions. Perhaps because I booked via Expedia? Food in restaurant was some of worst ever experienced: eat off site. Good news though because there are so many excellent places to eat around the hotel.

Walkable for many tourist areas. Close to bus routes. Hotel is clean and upgraded from when I stayed there 25 years ago. More dining options from inside hotel. 24 hr cafe was the best. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

I had a minor accident on the way to the hotel. They applied first aid and laundered my trousers as there was a little blood on them. I am very grateful to the staff who helped me. They were absolute stars.

We stayed here for 2 mid-week nights. The hotel is conveniently located for theatre land and other attractions. Tottenham Court Road tube station is just 5 minutes walk away. Our clean, well prepared room was a newly refurbished Signature room, whilst not that big and with limited storage it was comfortable and had everything we needed for our short night stay. It also had air conditioning. Nice walk-in shower with ample hot water. We went room only and took breakfast in the co-located VQ Restaurant enjoying excellent freshly cooked meals served by friendly staff. If you arrive early, they are happy to store your luggage free of charge. Staff were helpful. Only slight downside was just one person free wifi access per room. For a 3 star hotel in central London, we consider it very good and would have no problem staying here again for a short stay.

We stayed at this hotel to go to a concert and stay over. The location was great and the hotel as a whole was good. The rooms were quite small and the shower head had a mind of its own!. Shower was small, as was the en suite. Price was fairly reasonable for the location.

Hotel is in a perfect location for access to the most popular attractions in London. Was close to Tottenham Court Road tube station which was perfect too. Leicester Square, Trafalgar Square, Soho, Chinatown and Oxford Street are all within a 10 minute walk from St Giles. Hotel itself was well presented with a pub/restaurant onsite. Room was small, but clean, with air con and tea/coffee making facilities. Shower was great. Room was cleaned every day. Concierge were fantastic and we were allowed to store our cases in a separate room for a few hours on day of our departure. Will definitely be staying here again.

Big old hotel, but it's been renovated so doesn't feel rundown. Can't beat the location – just steps from the Elizabeth line, so easy to get to/from from the airport. The hotel restaurants are just OK, so I'd skip the breakfast buffet -- just go to the cafe on the corner -- but everything else was satisfactory and good price. Will definitely stay there again!

Breakfast was bad, almost no food left when it was still 1 1/2 hours before closing. Elevators were not always working. Lots of noise from the room I was staying in, thin walls so I could gear the neighbours and the elevatir and street noise.

On arrival we found the room was too small for 2 people, there was no hot water in the very small bathroom and a plumber had to be sent for. A light bulb not working in the shower. and the shower tray was thick with mildew. Needing a drink in the room after a long journey there were two cups and only one saucer. One of the restaurants had a very limited menu and four of the choices were all the same vegetables regardless of if you choose fish or chicken. On the last day the breakfast room was very crowded, there were lots of very dirty tables and we had to clear dirty pots ourselves. Then found there was no clean dishes available, coffee mugs or drinking glasses. We had ask for cutlery and we very disappointed with the lack of service.

We got there for 14.00, to be told check-in had changed to 15.00. We had not been informed of this. Then were told we had to pay £20.00, or wait till 15.00. The female receptionist was very rude. The male receptionist came over and said we could wait till 14.30 and then check-in as usual. Why didn’t she say that. We went and had a drink in the bar and returned to find staff member Atif Qayyum was there, he helped us with the check in and check out, what a difference. The breakfast was fine, apart from what was described as scrambled eggs - awful. We were very disappointed as had stayed here before and the staff had been very helpful and professional. This time it felt it was about making extra money from us.
