We had a great time staff was amazing and helpful so friendly. Sol on reception & Luke on the Bar was so pleasant & always smiling 😊 The grounds are lovely. We hired the Pods for a stay we had afternoon tea . The food & service was exceptional. The pod was beautiful decorated with a Christmas theme just stunning .

lovely welcome but the reception, building is pleasantly decorated. our room was in the top floor which involved several flights of stairs with no lift, not a problem for us but if you have limited mobility it's could be an issue. Room was clean and tidy, air conditioning would have been nice on the hottest day of the year so far but a ln electric fan was supplied which was better than nothing. we ate in the restaurant and found the food to be very good and good value. The bar and waiting staff were very good. Breakfast was also very good with a wide variety of options.

Character hotel bordering miles of countryside. Comfortable large bed on top floor, with good breakfast. had already eaten on arrival so cannot comment on evening meal. Top floor room did have sloping ceiling, but no issue. Plenty of free parking and lovely quiet setting.

the hotel, while not the most updated, was nice, well run, and on beautiful grounds. No AC or elevators, but accommodating staff and nice restaurant and bar options. there were two proms on the property back to back which we did not get a heads up about… it made parking very difficult which was not ideal after coming back from a day trip.

We had a room on the 4th floor standard room, the curtains near the wall had mould on them. The bathroom was very retro in decor. pillows need replacing. Bed was fine. Overall outside looked nice.

The hotel was in a great location and look amazing, the staff were friendly and everything was going well, until we entered the room, the cleanliness was subpar to say the least, the bathroom was the worst, there was mildew and dirt that had been there for sometime as you can see from the pictures.

The hotel and staff were fabulous. The food was delicious and our room couldn’t have been cleaner, but we were above the foyer toilet and had to endure every flush, hand wash and hand dryer - which got annoying. We’d definitely stay again but would ensure it was in a different room.

Great place! Would definitely go again. Overall, could do with a deeper clean in the room, but the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was nice, enjoyed having a bath! Wish I'd known in advance there was no lift though, as it was a struggle with such a large suitcase lol.

Bedroom and bathroom needed a deep clean, carpets shampooing. Needed to ring reception on day of arrival as stains on bottom sheet and tear in quilt cover. Dealt with quickly but expected better. Breakfast was fantastic as were all the staff. Hotel room felt worn. Big lounge but no christmas tree or any decorations which would have been festive.

The lounge bar was rather dirty with the seats and we had to ask for our table to be cleaned at 5pm Our bathroom was spotlessly clean I thought. The bedroom carpet was horrible. I really enjoyed the breakfast choice and the staff at breakfast were great.

Hotel was nice, staff very friendly and good service and surprisingly more affordable than most other hotels I’ve been in lately. Bedroom was a good size but as it was in the top floor it was in the eves and had sloped ceilings everywhere Could not sit up in bed to watch tv as the sloped ceiling pushes your head forward, a bit annoying but not the end of the world. Dinner in the restaurant was nice, had seabsss which was lovely

The rooms allocated were on the top floor. There is no lift and we are both in our 70s and disabled. The staff changed the rooms, but one was over the kitchen, and the other next to what appeared to be a 747 jet testing area. I had to ask to be moved again in the middle of the night.

We had a great one night stay in the hotel and the room was excellent. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant. Our only disappointment was there was no 4G available and the WI-FI didn’t work in the bedroom.

Evening meal, was very slow, nearly an hour wait for a warm bread starter. Charged £4.50 for a pint of lime and soda, cannot be correct. Checkout in the morning was very slow about 8 guests in a queue to leave, one young man on reception.

Lovely building in nice setting. Room was old fashioned but spacious and clean. The staff were very good although check in is a slightly wierd set up and our room wasnt ready until shortly after 3pm. Overall lots to like with one big BUT, I paid £17/50 for the worst fish n chips ive ever had, and thats a lot of fish n chips!! Fish was awful, chips were not chips but fries and the mushy peas were countable in quantity, truly awful meal. I probably wont go again but as i say there were good aspects

Great customer service from the beginning of our stay, until the end. The room allocated to us was perfect for those staying with dogs (which we were) - On the ground floor, close to an exit allowing for easy outdoor access to the grounds and the loading and unloading of my vehicle. The location of the hotel itself is perfect for those wishing to visit The Cotswolds, and is hidden away amongst parklands making it great for those wishing to get away from citylife. Tip: Along the edge of the grounds is a path way leading to an elevated view of the stunning surroundings. Housekeeping had placed dog biscuits in the room, which I felt was a lovely touch. We were very grateful. The only negatives were that the carpet had not been vacuumed after the previous guest (a dog owner) had stayed - there was noticeable dog hair throughout the room - however, this was addressed the next day (at our request) by housekeeping. The WIFI signal was inaccessible during the first night of our stay. Had I been working remotely, it would have been impossible for me to complete my tasks; however this was rectified the following day.

Beautiful grounds, very impressive interior, quiet location. Reasonably priced. Decent vegetarian options. Only downside were the stairs to the room (I had asked for ground floor), although a staff member did help me carry my baggage.

Very enjoyable stay after a day’s cycling. Ate in the bar at night - food was fine but not outstanding - service excellent. Breakfast on the other hand was very good indeed. Hotel has a strange layout in that there are no lifts - to get to our room you had to go up approx 15 steps, walk along a corridor, then descend another staircase - very strange and not too welcoming after 4 hours on a bicycle !!

Hotel is very tired. Bedrooms definitely in need of a refurb! Evening meal was awful. Avoid the salmon obviously all microwaved. I expect more from a hotel especially at £230 for bed, breakfast and evening meal on a Tuesday. Your local Wetherspoons will offer better quality food. We gave breakfast a miss and opted for a McMuffin down the road. A coach arrived when we were there so and assuming it’s a hotel used for coach breaks to Cheltenham or the Cotswolds. In all honest I would recommend you avoid. We will not be returning.
