I find it hard to believe the positive reviews here. Hotel was very tired around the edges - my room was damp and another traveller in the group's room had mould. Water pressure in my room (425) was shockingly poor. The paid parking option was stressful to navigate and breakfast was unfortunately rubbish - horrible instant coffee, very limited fresh fruit, basically just a load of cheap beige carbs. On balance, the room for 35 euros was probably just about worth the money but steer well clear of the breakfast.

The room was stinky. They tried to cover up the cigarette smell but it showed. This was addressed when we told staf, yet the manager called us when we were already sleeping to offer a different room. It was a sleepless night after all. The parking was at a different hotel and took like 40 extra minutes to do. Long story short, will not recommend this place to anyone. Will request a refund from my agent.

The parking is a few blocks away, and manageable, but is coordinated with another hotel and was a bit of a process. Available spaces can accommodate a larger vehicle, but it is tight quarters in a basement. Also, the desk is manned from 8a to 10p and requires card access to the building outside those hours. Again, manageable, but a consideration if you keep late hours. Overall location was excellent and the room was very nice. Simple buffet breakfast with good range of choices and a very good value, located with a city view from a balcony.

Also zuerst mal eine sehr nette Rezeptionistin, die mir wirklich alles sehr gut erklärt hat! Dafür nochmals "Muchas Gracias"! Zum Hotel: Obwohl in einem Mehrfamilienhaus, ist das Hotel in dieser Preiskategorie absolut empfehlenswert. Zimmer und Bad waren sehr sauber und geräumig mit einem schönen Blick auf die Altstadt. Auch die Hoteleigene Terrasse bot einen sehr schönen Blick auf Granada! Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt! Würde das Hotel definitiv wieder buchen…

Happy with what I got for the price. Please note that you need to checkin before 9 PM. There is no staff after 9 PM. You will likely need to park in public parking thats 2 mins away as hotel parking will be full. There is carrefour grocery as soon as you get down so very convenient. Taxi cost $10 to Alahambra so quite close. Cathedral is 10-15 mins and lots of places to eat around there.

Hotel was adequate. Front door entry didn’t work after hours. Had to call someone on duty offsite late and he wasn’t happy to be disturbed. I found some staff to be not friendly.

Out of eight accommodations in which my family and I stayed during our trip in Spain, this was the worse. I would not recommend it to anyone staying longer than two nights. The staff was very polite and efficient, but the hotel is just too outdated to make for a nice place in which to stay. Despite its convenient location, the hotel has not invested in its facilities. The room we were given was dark and noisy at nights. The choice of colours inside is depressing (dark green, ocre-yellow, and brown) and uninviting (almost claustrophobic). The luggage rack and the one chair in the room were both dirty (the former far more than the latter, see pictures), to the point that we did mention to the hotel’s administration it already has to be replaced for future guests. I will not ever come back, but I would not dissuade others from staying there. For us, it served its purpose and that might be ok for you too.

Staff is very kind and available. We had a four bedroom where beds where large and comfortable. I found the room and the hotel a bit aged, there was no mini-fridge in the room (although they have a central one available to anyone) and the room was getting immediately cold after I switched the heating off - probably due to old windows not well isolated. Overall I am pleased with the stay especially thanks to cleanliness, friendly staff and location.

Our check in hostess was extremely efficient, welcoming and knowledgeable. Other receptionists, not so much! The location cannot be beat. This hotel is okay for money charged, but leaves a lot to be desired. The rooms are very small. There is paint peeling from the wall. Bathroom was upgraded unlike room. Elevator did not always function. 6 Euros breakfast, a good value!

Das Hotel liegt perfekt fußläufig zum Stadtzentrum und der Alhambra. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und gepflegt und das Personal sehr nett. Das Frühstück war lecker und vielfältig mit Käse, Wurst, Schinken, süßem Brotaufstrich, verschiedenes Brot, Croissants, Cerealien, Säften, Kaffee, Obst usw. Wir waren sehr zufrieden, können das Hotel sehr empfehlen und wenn wir nochmal nach Granada kommen, buchen wir unser Zimmer wieder im Hotel Carlos V!
