Most of the units are rented out to people living there full time. They were several people hanging out outside their doors smoking. It was a bit of uncomfortable. A few migrant workers came home after their shift at 3am and had a nice loud party for a few hours in the barbecue area close to our room which kept us up the rest of the night. This was a Sunday evening. The exterior of the property was very dirty, dirty carpets, just dumpy overall, the garbage bins were overflowing. They dont clean anything. The bed was cheap and uncomfortable, an old dirty chair in the corner and a TV that would not turn up so you could hear it over the AC unit when it kicked on. We paid 175.00 for the night so i think it should had been better than what it was. I would never return to a super 8 or recommend this hotel.

We booked this hotel as we had a dance competition to attend over the weekend. The first room we were put into smelled badly of cigarette smoke. We were moved to the room next door. There was garbage on the floor and stains on the bedding. When getting ready for bed we noticed that the drain in the sink was clogged and would not drain. The pillows were absolutely awful. Not a good stay all around. Would not go back.

The area going to our room was very dirty(not cleaned in a while); there was mould around the tub. No stopper for the tub. The tub had mutlitiple chips in the enamel which had been painted over; one of the beds had sheets that had multiple spots/stains all over them. The vanity taps had dirt around them; there were gaps in the wall around the AC unit, and the main door was an inch from the floor(huge gap). Very poor quality. Would not stay again. We were stuck that night.

Dated property. Tv channels were limited to four. No hot water. The mattress were as old as I am. I was born in 1946!! The staff did all they could to help!! However, they cannot raise the dead.

We liked the coffee, the mirowave was nice to reheat our coffee, and the mini fridge worked grest. The pillows were comortable, and the hot water was hot. The motel was a motel and its age is showing, the fans were noisy, the room smelt stale, but we didnt want to spend too much, so it was fine.

The King size bed was horrible, barely slept that night. The center sank down like it was too old and broken springs. Tried sleeping on my side but just kept rolling to the center. The shower also showed signs of mold on the ceiling and caulking

Staying here was an awful experience. I called a week before and morning of to arrange early check in. Was attending a wedding at 3pm, same time as check in. We arrived at the agreed time and was told they weren’t charging me the early check in fee as they usually would, I was thankful and went to my room. The room had not been cleaned and visibly used. I went to front desk and was assigned another room. We returned from wedding and guests were in the bbq area, which was fine, across the parking lot, noise was in distance. But, these people proceeded to party LOUD into the night. Puking in the main hallway outside our door. And the new room they assigned us was right between these guests, and we shared a door with one of the rooms. The phones in the room aren’t plugged in, reception was locked and hotel staff were doing nothing to stop the chaos that was happening. We ended up packing up and heading home at 3am, just so we could sleep. No one has responded to my attempts on refund or complaints. Never again will I stay at this hotel or any in its chain.

It was convenient for our purpose. The room was clean, but nothing to rave about. Its an older building and you have to step over the raised threshold, which could be a problem for elderly or anyone using a cane or walker. Not sure if they have wheelchair accessible rooms. I was also required to agree to a refundable $250 cleaning/damage deposit when we checked in! Makes me wonder what kind of problems they have had in the small town of Guelph, ON!

I booked a room there because it said they had “24 hour front desk service”. I arrived at 1:00am and the door was locked. There was a sign advising to pick up the nearby phone or call a number to get someone. I picked up the phone, called the number repeatedly, and even banged on the front door as loudly as I could. No answer. I waited around for 15 minutes before leaving to fin alternative accommodations. Will be requesting a refund and leaving a review online.

Horrible review after being charged 212 dollars for washing my face with a towel and getting makeup on it as well as my 6 year old puking on a sheet and being charged for it. Absolutely ridiculous I will never stay at this hotel again! Never in my life has this happened to me in the 3 years of staying in hotels with my kids. Not to mention being woken up by a bunch of drunk people fighting and yelling outside our door at 2am which scared my daughter.

The people at this property were great. I had 3 nights booked and at the last minute well past the free cancelation time my flight was cancelled and I had to fly out the next day. The hotel saw what happened and waived the fee for the missed night and let me change the booking to two days instead, very good of them. When I arrived rather late the next evening the staff was very friendly, gave me great info on where to get some food and do some general shopping and were super great to deal with I have already booked my next trip in the area and yes I booked here again, why change a good thing?

I am just going to comment on the check in. I had booked this for my daughter. The room was in my name, and paid by credit card. My daughter called to say they would not let her get the room. I understand that you are double checking the person that is using this prepaid room, I appreciate that. I was to fill out a form to let my daughter use this room. I could not download it to my phone and my daughter was getting a little frustrated. Finally I sent my ID and credit card info and gave my permission to use this room. I would think that if I had talked to the desk person and told them that it was okay for my daughter to use the room it would be sufficient.

Please ensure you take a video when you check in. Be aware that the hotel has a high deposit of $250, which might be problematic. In my experience, I stayed for just one night and noticed two pillows on each of two bed. However, the hotel accused me of taking two pillows (one for each bed haha), charging me $70, claiming there should have been three pillows in each bed. They refused to reconsider their decision. This could be due to their negligence or dishonesty. I suggest avoiding this place, but if you must stay here, make sure to take a video before entering your room.

It was conveniently located for our purposes. Traffic noise during day but quieted down during the night which was expected due to the location on one of the main streets. The room was comfortable and clean. Staff were accommodating and friendly. The continental breakfast had a good variety of choices which we both did not expect. The only negative thing was the quality of the pillows( lumpy).

This is a good budget hotel conveniently located if travelling by car. The breakfast area is small but it was an excellent continental breakfast. The front desk staff were excellent and friendly and quickly accommodated our request to change rooms. They first gave us the accessible room because they said it was roomier, but I did not feel safe renting it because the light switch to the bathroom was behind the door on the shower tiles at the curtain! We were given another room where the bedroom part was nicely renovated with a comfortable bed, however, the bathroom had not been refurbished yet. There’s lots of restaurants and a movie theatre nearby.

My breakfast was mostly carbohydrates. The only protein was yogurt (which isn't very much) and two hard boiled eggs. But, what was offered was all very good quality and self-service quantities. I had a small trailer with me, and the desk clerk let me park very close to the entrance, and coincidentally where I could overlook from my room.

No phone in the room. TV doesnt work... no channels. This place is strictly to have a roof over you and leave as soon as possible. The matresees are outdated. Hard to get the shower working. Room overall is ok but NOT worth the $172 tx!!! Wont stay here again. Front staff was nice. The breakfast selection is VERY limited... if you like cereal and some minor extras.
