Hotel was nice and had good service at the front desk. Wasn't pleased that they charged $15 to park over night, considering they have a HUGE parking lot. Our room smelled very funky - like the heating unit was growing mould. We probably should have asked to change rooms.

The Delta is a lovely hotel. It was decorated for the season and it definitely evokes and upscale vibe. The staff was very helpful and rooms were clean and in good condition. We used the hotel bar and the onsite parking. I was surprised that a hotel in Guelph would ask for $15 per night for parking?

The bathrooms were always a mess with the garbages overflowing, no toilet paper in the bathroom stalls. The banquet room we were in for the day never got those garbages emptied and were over flowing every day. The front staff member for check in was extremely rude.

Visited the hotel 2 years ago. Food improved a lot. Service in the restaurant was EXTRAORDINARY. However, the AC was incredibly noisy, reported it staff failed to fix it. Hotel is nice but it's getting old, needs retrofit. Staff at restaurant really good, front desk not so much.

The battery on our room door was not functioning. Instead of giving us a different room, we had to play a game every time we wanted to get into our room where staff had to find the battery pack to Hotwire our door. Very frustrating. We were there for four nights and had to do this EVERY night. They kept saying maintenance would fix it. Gave us a free breakfast as consolation. It added 15 to 40 minutes each night to get in. They said they would comp a room night but next morning said they couldn’t because it was booked through Expedia. Very disappointing. Staff were nice enough but unable to fix this problem of which they all seemed to be aware. Perhaps owners need to invest more in the property to allow for proper maintenance. People need to be able to get into their rooms whenever they want - it’s pretty basic.
