Crowne Plaza Helsinki - Hesperia by IHG

This was our first stay at an IHG hotel and it certainly won't be our last! A lovely hotel with great amenities in fantasic location, a few minutes walk from the city centre. Lovely staff, a superb breakfast and fantastic pool and gym. A 10/10 all round from the three of us. Looking forward to our next IHG hotel stay already.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Crown Plaza, which was a bolt on to the end of a wider Finland trip, and spent a few days in Helsinki. Hotel was great - nice spacious rooms (for family of 3) and really good gym/pool facilities which we utilised. Staff friendly and help and we had breakfast there, which again, was a really good selection from cold meats and cereals, through to hot buffet. We looked ahead via Hotels.com which ended up a lot cheaper than buying on arrival. We have toyed with the location prior to the visit ie do we go for the Radisson by the station or here - in reality, it was a 15min walk from the main training station but once we found the tram maps etc, it was a 2 min walk in either direction (plus is also similar walk to metro station) and when having a day public transport pass, the location was super central and convenient. Same with the airport, as we had a day pass, it meant we could tram to the station, and then pick up the I or P train straight to airport, all on the same pass. It's right next to the park, so was able to enjoy a lovely run around the lake & olympic stadium, and is clearly marked out for runners/walkers too. Little tip would be to sign up for the IHG prior to arrival, and I had it historically from work, but it just enabled some benefits like early check-in which was really useful for us. We definitely recommend the hotel to other families or couples looking for a stay in Helsinki.

Great gym.

Although we only stayed for two nights, we absolutely loved our stay! The room was wonderful, we really enjoyed the comfortable bed and the heated floors in the bathroom! In addition, we very much enjoyed the hotel breakfast spread. If you are looking for a hotel that has an amazing gym, then this hotel is a must! The gym was an actual gym that had every single piece of equipment and weights. Next time I’m in Helsinki, I will definitely stay at this hotel.

Great sauna

Nice hotel. Good sized comfortable rooms. Breakfast selection was extensive and good quality and the gym in the basement was really good - a proper standalone health club with a very wide range of gym equipment and a pool and sauna. 5 minutes walk to a tram stop.

Great facility. Wonderful gym, sauna, showers and pool. Restaurant was excellent.

It seems to me that the pool was open for general use local people!!!!. It was crowded all the time

Excellent hotel at a reasonable price. High quality and clean room, very good breakfast included, kind receptionists and staff. Parking next to the hotel at a reasonable price (for Helsinki)

Very modern, clean and comfortable hotel. The lobby has lots of seating, the restaurant is very good and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, the beds were very comfortable and the sheets were quality. Bathrobes and slippers are provided as well as a mini fridge, bottled water and tea/coffee making supplies. The bathroom was very large and the shower may have been one of the best I’ve ever had!

Toaletten spolade inte ordentligt. Snurrdörren utifrån-in fungerade inte. Hissen behövde 3-4 sekunder på sig att registrera rumskortet. Allmänt taget alltså inte ett fullgott intryck. Betjäningen var fin, städningen god, det allergifria rummet bra. Jag fick rummet i förtid och fick stanna längre, servicen alltså ypperlig.

Room was nice and spacious as we had the premium room, bathroom was clean and good sized..mini bar was full which made a change as most don’t have that now and was really expensive for what was in it..

Rummet var jätte bra städat. Bekväm säng och bra frukost.

Polite, informative staff, well-appointed and clean room. Did not use most of the amenities, but appreciate that they are available. Restaurant was quite good, as well.

25°C dans la chambre, impossible de regler la climatation. La fenetre de la chambre ne peut s ouvrir que partiellement. Malgré avoir notifié le dysfonctionnement a l accueil, rien n a été fait. J ai du écourter mon sejour et prendre un nouvel hôtel.

Neighbouring rooms were very noisy until midnight, only one coffee pod in the room, no nice treats such a pillow mist etc as you find in other Crowne plazas, they do. It use “This works” brand.

Keurig hotel met goede ligging. Kamers te warm voor mij, raam open gaf veel geluid van buiten. Wat tegenviel is dat na 22.00u niets meer qua eten besteld kon worden. Dat verwacht ik niet bij een 4* hotel.

Quiet and comfy.

Overall a great stay. The room was spacious with great views, bed was super comfy with perfect pillows (important and so overlooked in many hotels), bathroom with great amenities and a bathtub as requested. Staff at the reception was outstanding. Breakfast was ok, the staff there was not very friendly or helpful. Great location for my needs.

Very comfortable hotel with good restaurant and very pleasant and spacious reception area. Bedroom and bathroom were clean and roomy. Only shortcoming was that there were no drawers. Hotel is on the main Mannerheim Avenue with 3 tram routes running to city centre. Or it is half an hour level walk to city centre. Some attractions such as the Rock Church are within walking distance. Lovely wooded park and lake across the road. Good buffet breakfast with ample choices.

Staff all very friendly and happy to help in anyway they could.

The lady that helped me at check in She was all upset that my payment couldn’t be found even when I showed a copy of the payment Not only until she asked her colleague it was fine… very inconvenient making me feel that I have made anything wrong And then she forgot to take payment for petfee. Instead she came running after me when I a few minutes later came back to go out with my dog. Again making me feel like I don’t trust you. You need to pay now. I Went out with my dog went back to the room and then back again to pay the fee. This other guy in the reception was a bit surprised, no no you don’t neee to pay it now you can do it when you checking out. So the service wasn’t good at all because of this lady making me feel that I had done something wrong

Front reception not very helpful in anything at all Safe was broken We had event in city and they had no idea about it so poor

Everything, really! The room was spacious and had all the facilities for the guest. Even an iron and an ironing board. Plus, complimentary bottles of water, coffee sachets, cocoa powder etc. were replenished every day. Staff were polite and more than helpful. My son dropped his (tiny) iPhone earphone in the elevator gap. I was in panic! We asked the receptionist to mention it to the hotel maintenance staff and look for it if it’s possible. In 2-3 days the found it and gave it to us! Actually, the maintenance didn’t or couldn’t find it (I don’t know) so, the elevator company was called to do so. And they found it intact. They could have told us just “sorry, we didn’t find it”. Instead, they did their best in order to help us. Many thanks to your hotel staff. Overall, we had a great stay at Crowne Plaza hotel in Helsinki!

Fantastic hotel and loved everything about it. Decent room size, very modern and had everything that you would expect in terms of toiletries. Breakfast was really good and there was an on-site restaurant and bar as well as a sauna and pool downstairs. All the staff were really friendly and helpful - checking-in and and checking-out very straightforward. Excellent location, only a 15 min walk to the centre via a lovely park although plenty of transport options as well.

Lovely Hotel, great staff, good leisure centre, swimming pool and sauna. The breakfast buffet is amazing you can have almost anything you want and what isn't on the hotplates or cold stations can be more or less ordered from the Kitchen! Perfect location about 1/2 a mile from the city centre, very accessible on foot or by public transport. The insulation and double glazing in this hotel is great as despite the road works along the main road the room was very quiet

Central locations and very walkable to museums, libraries and ferries

Excellent stay. Hotel staff were very helpful.. It is located across from a beautiful park and it is an easy walk to town center. The sauna and pool are lovely.

Very nice facilities and staff. Great food and location (we were staying for a concert at the Olympic stadium near by)

Great location beside the bay. Close to train station and most attractions. Handy for Olympic Stadium. Wonderful room and very comfortable.

The only complain I have is the breakfast food. The choice is too small and so fruits are caned fruits.

Nice clean updated rooms, nice bathroom and a comfortable bed. Restaurant ala carte and breakfast buffet are very expensive, good, but the price doesn’t justify the quality.

Bon Accueil, calme et silencieux, mais téléphone dans la chambre qui ne fonctionne pas (obligé d'aller à la réception), chambre très froide (radiateur d'appoint prêté, mais totalement inefficace, nous avons pris froid), seulement 2 prises électriques au total, pas de room service / pas de nourriture après 22h30, petit déjeuner super cher (30e par pers)

Zimmer gross, schön, sauber. Personal sehr nett, Frühstück toll! Sehr grosse Auswahl an verschiedenen Speisen, Brot, Aufschnitt…..
