This property is well maintained and easy access. Although it is getting a little dates and does have a bit of an older styled motel vibe, it’s clean and well presented. They have done well to make it look good and appealing. Car parking was free and wasn’t an issue for us but it did seem to be full by evening. Information about checkout was limited and hard to find information on, however it is just as any other hotel runs. Drop box for early checkout and need to settle accounts before departure.

Gute Lage in Hobart mit ausreichend Parkplätzen. Zimmer mit Küche und einer Sitz-Theke am Fenster. Im 1. Stock gibt es Münz-Waschmaschine und Trockner Check-In war sehr freundlich und hat uns sogar die Heizung im Zimmer angemacht, da es an dem Tag etwas kälter war. Die „Minibar“ fanden wir etwas unnötig, hat nur den ganzen Platz im Kühlschrank weggenommen.

While it was a comfortable Queen Room, with a view, it was out dated and drab. The shower was clean enough though there was ‘gunk’ in the bottom of the screen door. Their reception staff however were wonderfully polite and friendly.

The room wasn’t made up until the last night and I was short on toilet paper etc, room had dust on top of cupboards and also some mould in the shower. Disappointing as I’ve stayed here a lot prior to 2019 and it has really changed

The room was very dusty and triggered my hayfever. The shower wasn’t very clean. I also find the rooms to be noisy both road noise and noise from other guests. Bed was comfortable, parking is great, room was well equipped.

Another great stay at Motel 429. Perfect location, quiet, clean well-appointed rooms, reliable wi-fi, and sensational water pressure in the shower! The only two downsides - non-smart TV's (meaning free-to-air TV only with no ability to stream anything else) and a far too hard bed for my liking!

We were lucky to have a room right at the front with a beautiful view. There wasn't a lot of traffic noise. The room was very comfortable and spacious, with a good kitchenette. Within walking distance to the casino. There are bus stops very close by. We walked to Salamanca place which was around 3kms.

Great location, free upgrade to free standing cottage next to main building - 1 bedroom, lounge/dining, fully functioning kitchen and spacious bathroom. Erica extremely helpful and reasonably priced for original Deluxe Suite before upgrade.

Great location, short drive to Battery Point and CBD. Beautiful water views and walking tracks. The motel had all the facilities we needed, clean and comfortable. The office staff receptionist Judy was was so lovely and incredibly occomodating, allowing our son to stay as an extra person. Very flexible, warm and very friendly. I would highly recommend a stay at Motel 429. I will be returning with my family again.
