Beachfront Hotel Hokitika

The room was lovely and clean, but the towels provided were a joke. So tiny, literally bathmat sized. The views were lovely and I liked the restaurant.

Front desk staff was a little hard to understand but once we got our room keys, we were happy. The restaurant was a little rough. The server got our order wrong and said if we wanted what we actually ordered, she would have to pay for what she messed up so we kept what she brought out. It was still good but we felt guilted into eating what she brought out.

Nice hotel, clean and comfortable room, we had an ocean front room great view and nice to hear the ocean roaring at night. Balcony was just concrete looked a bit average. Walking distance to shops and cafes. Did have dinner at the restaurant which was okay, would try else where next time.

We loved the ocean view from our room, it was a lovely stopover for the night in a great location with nearby takeaways etc. Everything seemed great with the room - lots of space and an unexpected spa bath being a lovely surprise! However I woke up in the morning to 21 bites all over my back which weren’t there the night before so that put a bit of a downer on the stay wondering what was in the bed with us! Otherwise everything else was lovely.

Great place
