This is a lovely Spa hotel. It's in easy walking distance of the town centre and also runs a free shuttle bus. There is a steep climb from the road to the hotel entrance to be aware of but the rest of the walk is flat. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel if you do not have a car. There is a good breakfast buffet selection and the time we ate in the Terrace restaurant the food was very good and the service excellent. There is an underground carpark and we had no problems parking although it can get quite full at times. The spaces are however quite small. We had a classic double room which was reasonably spacious but just a note the shower was over the bath which may be an issue for some people. It is generally a very quiet hotel but the room soundproofing could have been better and we were perhaps unlucky to be opposite the lift however there was never any prolonged noise. The indoor pool and Spa facilities are excellent and the hotel has lovely gardens. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Friendly helpful staff and excellent restaurant with fresh local fish and veg. Large selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. Superb pool and spa facilities. Twin room a bit small with little space to move around and for luggage but comfortable beds. Daily shuttle to St Helier taking 5 mins into town.

Beautiful property, the garden is very pleasant though it’s not big. But it offers the possibility to lay down in the sun. Very good spa with a nice range of spa treatments available. The hotel also offers a shuttle to the city centre though it is possible to walk. We did, it took us around 20 mins to get there. The restaurante is also very good, with live music twice a week. Excellent breakfast.

Absolutely delightful hotel with great staff and outstanding rooms. The pool and spa must be one of the best on the Island. Very accessible and close enough to the main centre to be able to walk if you don't want to use the free hotel shuttle bus. Room very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was well presented and of a high standard with good options for everyone

Grande Dame Hotel. A little faded. Rooms are tired and old. Excellent staff tries very hard. Food and Beverage were great. Real gem is the swimming / spa area. Odd that it has such short hours in weekend and closes every afternoon for siesta.

Hotel was very nice. Helpful staff and very clean. Location not so great. A bit of a walk out of town and not much nearby in terms of restaurants and bars. Breakfast was fairly basic. The pool and gym facilities are great, but be aware that these are open to the public as well and the clientele left a lot to be desired. Also, if you have teens, be aware that the gym is over 18s only. This was an annoyance for us as it was the main reason we chose this hotel, but it was my own fault for not checking on the hotel website.

Hotel de France exceeded my expectations. I could not fault any part of my stay. My single room was clean, airy and had a very comfortable bed. There were a lot of windows so was very light and it had fine net curtains so still felt very private. There was an air conditioning unit to use but I did not need it as I prefer fresh air through windows. I used the restaurant once for lunch and two evening meals. Food, like all Jersey, was high quality and delicious. All staff whether in restaurant, spa, cleaners and reception were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The spa was clean and plenty of space to relax. I would definitely come again or recommend to a friend. Thank you.

Friendly and professional But my single room was claustrophobic.. the windows has some kind of white shield to not let anyone see in (I was in a remote corner of the hotel) but it made the room very unpleasant. It was already a small bedroom and this made it even worse. I think this should be advertised when selling the room because I would have never spent 200 pounds in such a room. It wasn't a good stay at all. Before seeing the room I was offered an upgrade for 60/90 pounts to a double room but I refused because I was told that the size was anyways the same. When I got to my single room I was quite upset. I didn't say anything because I was told the hotel was sold out.

Lovely staff who all seemed genuinely happy to help. Simple but quality breakfast served in spacious dining room. Hotel walking distance to St Helier but there is a shuttle bus if needed. We found the air conditioning not working in room and electric fan was provided on request, but room still too hot and fan needed to be on and burning electricity permanently. Towels changed every day when not necessary - neither great for carbon footprint. Overall a pleasant but slightly dated hotel that could do with some investment in the bedrooms, however, we’ve stayed before and would stay again.

Pool and Spa were lovely but the staff were the hilight. Always friendly, smiling and helpful. Beautiful older style hotel with my only real gripe was the creaking of the floorboards on the stairs and corridors. Woke me up early mornings.

I loved the ambience of Hotel De France, very welcoming staff and the food is excellent. The only quibble I have is with the shower in the bedroom. The pressure on the shower was poor. Other than that I had a fantastic week at The Hotel 😀😀

Really nice hotel with very friendly staff.Disappointed there was no air conditioning I either of our rooms although we did have portable units which did help. Our biggest gripe was the lack of a refrigerator in either room meaning it was impossible to immediately access a cold drink.

Hotel is lovely. Our room was on the 5th floor, lovely but very warm! Fans were available thank goodness. Shower was very poor. Spa good, with great size swimming pool. Showers their a lot better than in room.

Really nice hotel, superb pool facilities, unfortunately we didn’t have time to use these but will be back to use them next time. Only negative thing was the room being too warm, although a fan is supplied there is not a twin socket, it’s either tv on or fan on, unless you move the fan but you wouldn’t feel as much off its benefits.

The hotel itself it’s nice. Our room, the St Aubin Suite, was lovely. Very modern and comfortable. Spa is great. Large and well equipped. The property is really let down by the restaurant. It feels like a canteen with little character and poor quality service. They lost our reservation for a special dinner. Although they did fit us in it no longer felt very special. They then started rearranging tables and setting up for breakfast when the restaurant was still half full.

The Reception staff were brilliant when my flight was cancelled. They had already helped me with check in problems and were equally helpful when I returned to the hotel after the cancellation. A room was found and early breakfast ordered. It took away a lot of my stress!

The property was well presented and very clean. Sauna, pool and gym were of a high standard. My suggest for improvement would be in the area of services particularly in the bar/ restaurant areas where guests should be made feel more welcome, staff offering prompt attention and advice when needed.

Came to this hotel many many years ago it is not the same now. The staff are overrun in bar and restaurant and I was told to go away by barman one night as he was too busy !! Such a shame when it was such a great hotel in the past

Being situated on a hill one has to accept that there are 50 steps from the road outside to the reception. Parking is tight in the town centre so your shuttle service is to be commended. Having a tv room with sky sports would be good especially on raining cold days.

This is a lovely Spa hotel. It's in easy walking distance of the town centre and also runs a free shuttle bus. There is a steep climb from the road to the hotel entrance to be aware of but the rest of the walk is flat. There is a bus stop at the entrance of the hotel if you do not have a car. There is a good breakfast buffet selection and the time we ate in the Terrace restaurant the food was very good and the service excellent. There is an underground carpark and we had no problems parking although it can get quite full at times. The spaces are however quite small. We had a classic double room which was reasonably spacious but just a note the shower was over the bath which may be an issue for some people. It is generally a very quiet hotel but the room soundproofing could have been better and we were perhaps unlucky to be opposite the lift however there was never any prolonged noise. The indoor pool and Spa facilities are excellent and the hotel has lovely gardens. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff are very helpful. We stayed in low season so it was not busy. We enjoyed the location from where we could stroll into town. About 20mins. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel.

Our room was fairly large and clean. Tea , coffee and bottle water were top-up every day. The room was a bit dark, better lighting would make it more cheerful. The hotel is on top of a small hill, so lots of steps to climb from the main road.

Jersey is a beautiful island and this was our fifth time staying in this beautiful hotel. The staff are professional, helpful and friendly. Rooms are spotless, spacious and comfortable. The spa and treatments are wonderful. It's in a quiet area and an easy walk into the town. There is the shuttle bus option and local buses (which are excellent) also stop outside the hotel. We wouldn't stay anywhere else and look forward to our next visit.

The general standard of the hotel was first class and the staff could not have been more helpful in every respect. The standard of food in the restaurant was so much better than the local restaurants and the offered a variation to suit everyone. I would find it very hard to fault this hotel.

This is a lovely hotel with a great pool/spa! The restaurant was good for lunch and dinner although not as good as some of the places around - but that’s more a reflection of how great the food scene is in Jersey rather than a criticism of the hotel! Breakfast was reasonably basic and could be improved with little tweaks eg pots of tea and coffee rather than queuing at the coffee machine. Good location - we walked into st Helier every day and takes 20 mins ish. A lovely stay and the gardens and spa etc are the crowning jewel for this hotel!

We had a lovely 3 night stay at Hotel de France, the spa was amazing and great that access was included in the room rate. Breakfast was great too and the staff super attentive and helpful especially Sarah who we talked to every morning. The coffee machine does not have decaf coffee as an option but staff went out of their way to bring me one from the machine in the bar which was appreciated. The poached eggs were the best I’ve ever had and came very quickly. We did not experience the parking problems that others have mentioned, the overflow car park is very close and if necessary a person with accessibility issues can easily be dropped off at the entrance and then park the car. Again the negative comments about staff at breakfast were not experienced by us at all, in fact all hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We only booked a basic double room and if I come again would definitely upgrade and request a room closer to the spa a it was a bit embarrassing walking through the main reception in a dressing gown and slippers! In fact the only complaint we have is the size of the dressing gowns which wouldn’t fit a female above a size 14 and only a tiny xs male. The spa request that guests wear the dressing gowns and change in hotel rooms otherwise this wouldn’t be an issue. I must say that the spa itself was definitely worth the embarrassment of wearing the small dressing gowns to cover our modesty!!

Beautiful property, the garden is very pleasant though it’s not big. But it offers the possibility to lay down in the sun. Very good spa with a nice range of spa treatments available. The hotel also offers a shuttle to the city centre though it is possible to walk. We did, it took us around 20 mins to get there. The restaurante is also very good, with live music twice a week. Excellent breakfast.
