À la piscine, même négligence : matelas souillés, fientes d’oiseaux non nettoyées, vous signalez du VOMI d’enfant, on vous demande d’aller chercher quelqu’un .. qui laisse le vomi jusqu’à la fermeture ! Serviettes souvent introuvables et aucun service sur place. Le petit-déjeuner se prend sur des tables non débarrassées ni nettoyées et on vous fait patienter 15 minutes avant que quelqu’un daigne la nettoyer à moitié. Point culminant : le repas du vendredi soir à 550 ₪/personne (150 $). Qualité médiocre, assiettes non débarrassées, absence d’eau fraîche (on ouvre des cartons de 6 bouteilles à température ambiante devant vous), demandes simples (sel, pain) ignorées, plus rapide de se servir directement sur la table voisine. Et quand on le signale au manager, la seule réponse est : « c’est comme ça ». D’ailleurs, au check-out, on attend toujours la traditionnelle question « comment s’est passé votre séjour ? » qui n’arrive jamais .. certainement que tous les clients comme nous étaient excédés d’un tel niveau d’hôtellerie… à 700$ la nuit quand même. Ah et pour finir ce séjour en beauté, si vous partez à 2h du matin pour un vol de nuit, débrouillez-vous tout seul avec vos valises, personne ne sera là pour vous aider. Ridiculously overpriced. The little things - attention to detail was lacking. Bedroom lampshade was dusty, alarm clock not set to the right time. No mini bar. Had to request a turn down service - no chocolates. Could not watch a movie from the beginning. Spa closed for renovations. Pool bar closed during the week. I was their for one night and wanted to spoil myself - it was not worth it. However the staff and service were outstanding as is the position.

Chose the hotel based on reco - one of which was the outdoor pool/proximity to Old Jerusalem. We had two rooms w/views. When we booked we knew it would be long hot days touring and wanted to swim when we checked in. Upon check we were told that it was closed for a wedding but there was no advanced notice. We asked about the spa and were told it closed at 7pm. At 6 we called to ask them a question prior to heading down and we were told it was closed already. We then were told that part of our stay (as good members) was a bottle of wine and nibbles. They weren’t in the room so we called down to request them and were told they would be delivered to the room promptly. We waited for 1/2 hour and left for dinner. When we returned we went to the lounge for a nightcap. They said that they were closing shortly but would make us a drink. It took 1/2 hour for it to get to us. When we got to the room the wine and food had not been delivered. They came at 11 pm with the wine. I left a pair of brand new pants with the tags on in the room that I purchased that evening from a nearby store. Contacted them the next day and they couldn’t locate them. Spoke to a manager at checkout about the experience and how disappointed we were and were told We would be contacted. Received a call but couldn’t speak at that time and was told I would hear back the next day never did. Followed up several times and no one has yet to contact me. Wouldn’t return!

Quand vous séjournez dans un hôtel 5 étoiles à un prix à la nuitée des plus chers de la ville vous attendez un certain service et une propreté irréprochable. Au David Citadelle, vous n’aurez ni l’un ni l’autre. Le service est inexistant à la piscine, au petit déjeuner ou pire encore au repas de Vendredi soir (pourtant à 150$ sans boisson). Lorsqu’on vous installe au petit déjeuner vous attendez 15 minutes qu’on vous dresse la table et qu’on vous la nettoie. Lorsqu’un enfant vomi à la piscine, que vous le signalez, on vous rigole au nez et le vomi reste toute la journée au bord de la piscine. Ce qui est terrible c’est que c’était ma première fois dans cet hôtel, mais des habitués m’ont confié qu’il ne retourneraient jamais dans cet hôtel malgré sa localisation. L’hotel semble laissé à l’abandon. Je pense que l’hôtel a conscience du niveau qu’il affiche car au Check-out personne n’ose vous demander comment ça s’est passé. Pire, on continue avec une discussion peu commerciale à la sortie où le manager n’accepte pas qu’un client poussé à bout hausse le ton quand il y a un manque de respect flagrant. On ne retournera plus là-bas.

Tout est bien, beau et propre. Mais même je n’ai rien de spécial à reprocher, ça ne vaut pas 800€. Pour 400/500€ ça aurait été parfait. Petite déception sur la chambre avec vue (majoritairement une vue sur l’autre côté de l’hôtel). Très belle piscine. Très bon petit dejeuner. A distance de marche de la vieille ville.
Tout est bien, beau et propre. Mais même je n’ai rien de spécial à reprocher, ça ne vaut pas 800€. Pour 400/500€ ça aurait été parfait. Après de bonnes expériences dans des hôtels à Tel-aviv et Herziliya, j'espérais finir mon séjour dans un hotel qui est censé être l'un des meilleurs de Jerusalem. Donc vous en tant que client vous devez accepter de payer plus cher (offre et la demande) et si l'hôtel n'a pas les capacité de gérer vous devez accepté sans rechigner. A la sortie on ne vous demande même pas comment ça s'est passé, normal vu le mécontentement global des clients. Et si vous partez dans la nuit (pour prendre votre vol) débrouillez vous avec vos valises, il n'y a plus personne à l'accueil.

The stay was terrible. The pictures on websites don’t correspond what actually provided. The rooms are dirty and badly maintained. When we arrived, the first room was provided and there was broken glass on floor that I injured my foot with. After we requested to switch room. Second room was very dirty as well. On top of that there was smell of peeing. That is the most disgusting stay. It definitely not 5 star hotel. Personal is very rude. Food was bad as well. I had orange juice with taste of soap, my husband had sandwich that tasted terribly.

Staff was very unwelcoming, and rude. They were not helpful and gave so much attitude. For the amount of times I stay there a year, I was shocked. Also, the "suite" we paid for, and stayed was horrible. There was so much noise coming from the halls, and there was not a clear view. I was not happy with this stay at all.

The hotel is very well located near the old city and adjacent to an outdoor mall, however the overall property seemed a bit dated and i thought the service in general could have been better. Staffed seemed Aloof most of the time. I had to replace my key three times for no apparent reason. After some misunderstanding my room didn't get cleaned one day and while the restaurant overlooking the pool is beautiful, service was hard to get. I think the biggest issue is the hotel seems very geared towards Tours who they seem to dote on. As a single traveler i really didn't seem to be a priority and on several occasions including the restaurant and front drive was basically ignored. I travel for work a lot and considering the room rate experience was generally a bit disappointing.

Great location. Amazing views. Excellent service at breakfast buffet which is impressive. Atta added his special touch in his personalized service at breakfast. Rooms are well appointed and nice in size. We walked to the old city and just soaked about Jerusalem so easily from this location. We look forward to returning.

We absolutely loved the David Citadel in Jerusalem! We highly recommend staying there because it’s the best location for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. The staff went out of their way to spoil us, as it was our wedding anniversary, especially Sasha and Sonya. The breakfast each morning was superb, as was our room with a view of the swimming pool and the Old City.

The staff was very rude and at times lazy (e.g. not ordering our car to airport or offering to help us with luggage). The location is great, but dealing with the staff was a nighmare and ruined the trip to Jerusalem for my fiancé and myself. The hotel rooms themselves are also a bit run-down (had the junior suite) for a 5 star hotel.

We have stayed at this hotel many times and we have never been disappointed. When you arrive they say “Welcome Home” and they are right. The service is excellent and everyone cannot do enough to make your stay comfortable including Sami in the morning doing artwork in the cappuccino foam. We have rarely made a request even at the last minute that they could not accommodate. I would urge anyone coming to Jerusalem for the first or 20th time to stay here.

Chose the hotel based on reco - one of which was the outdoor pool/proximity to Old Jerusalem. We had two rooms w/views. When we booked we knew it would be long hot days touring and wanted to swim when we checked in. Upon check we were told that it was closed for a wedding but there was no advanced notice. We asked about the spa and were told it closed at 7pm. At 6 we called to ask them a question prior to heading down and we were told it was closed already. We then were told that part of our stay (as good members) was a bottle of wine and nibbles. They weren’t in the room so we called down to request them and were told they would be delivered to the room promptly. We waited for 1/2 hour and left for dinner. When we returned we went to the lounge for a nightcap. They said that they were closing shortly but would make us a drink. It took 1/2 hour for it to get to us. When we got to the room the wine and food had not been delivered. They came at 11 pm with the wine. I left a pair of brand new pants with the tags on in the room that I purchased that evening from a nearby store. Contacted them the next day and they couldn’t locate them. Spoke to a manager at checkout about the experience and how disappointed we were and were told We would be contacted. Received a call but couldn’t speak at that time and was told I would hear back the next day never did. Followed up several times and no one has yet to contact me. Wouldn’t return!

The staff was extremely polite. We had a late flight out and they gave us an extended late checkout as a courtesy which they didn’t have to do. The staff was also very attentive to elderly guests at breakfast, anticipating their every need. Was very special to see.

Quand vous séjournez dans un hôtel 5 étoiles à un prix à la nuitée des plus chers de la ville vous attendez un certain service et une propreté irréprochable. Au David Citadelle, vous n’aurez ni l’un ni l’autre. Le service est inexistant à la piscine, au petit déjeuner ou pire encore au repas de Vendredi soir (pourtant à 150$ sans boisson). Lorsqu’on vous installe au petit déjeuner vous attendez 15 minutes qu’on vous dresse la table et qu’on vous la nettoie. Lorsqu’un enfant vomi à la piscine, que vous le signalez, on vous rigole au nez et le vomi reste toute la journée au bord de la piscine. Ce qui est terrible c’est que c’était ma première fois dans cet hôtel, mais des habitués m’ont confié qu’il ne retourneraient jamais dans cet hôtel malgré sa localisation. L’hotel semble laissé à l’abandon. Je pense que l’hôtel a conscience du niveau qu’il affiche car au Check-out personne n’ose vous demander comment ça s’est passé. Pire, on continue avec une discussion peu commerciale à la sortie où le manager n’accepte pas qu’un client poussé à bout hausse le ton quand il y a un manque de respect flagrant. On ne retournera plus là-bas.

Certainement pas un 5*, ni un 4. Dès l’arrivée, le balcon de la chambre est très sale : poussiéreux, mégot au sol, mobilier noir de poussière (attention aux vêtements blancs). À la piscine, même négligence : matelas souillés, fientes d’oiseaux non nettoyées, vous signalez du VOMI d’enfant, on vous demande d’aller chercher quelqu’un .. qui laisse le vomi jusqu’à la fermeture ! Serviettes souvent introuvables et aucun service sur place. Le petit-déjeuner se prend sur des tables non débarrassées ni nettoyées et on vous fait patienter 15 minutes avant que quelqu’un daigne la nettoyer à moitié. Point culminant : le repas du vendredi soir à 550 ₪/personne (150 $). Qualité médiocre, assiettes non débarrassées, absence d’eau fraîche (on ouvre des cartons de 6 bouteilles à température ambiante devant vous), demandes simples (sel, pain) ignorées, plus rapide de se servir directement sur la table voisine. Et quand on le signale au manager, la seule réponse est : « c’est comme ça ». D’ailleurs, au check-out, on attend toujours la traditionnelle question « comment s’est passé votre séjour ? » qui n’arrive jamais .. certainement que tous les clients comme nous étaient excédés d’un tel niveau d’hôtellerie… à 700$ la nuit quand même. Ah et pour finir ce séjour en beauté, si vous partez à 2h du matin pour un vol de nuit, débrouillez-vous tout seul avec vos valises, personne ne sera là pour vous aider. A la hauteur du respect apporté au client. Le David Citadelle c’est PLUS JAMAIS.

Qualité médiocre, assiettes non débarrassées, absence d’eau fraîche (on ouvre des cartons de 6 bouteilles à température ambiante devant vous), demandes simples (sel, pain) ignorées, plus rapide de se servir directement sur la table voisine. Et quand on le signale au manager, la seule réponse est : « c’est comme ça ». D’ailleurs, au check-out, on attend toujours la traditionnelle question « comment s’est passé votre séjour ? » qui n’arrive jamais .. certainement que tous les clients comme nous étaient excédés d’un tel niveau d’hôtellerie… à 700$ la nuit quand même. Ah et pour finir ce séjour en beauté, si vous partez à 2h du matin pour un vol de nuit, débrouillez-vous tout seul avec vos valises, personne ne sera là pour vous aider. A la hauteur du respect apporté au client. Le David Citadelle c’est PLUS JAMAIS.

Chose the hotel based on reco - one of which was the outdoor pool/proximity to Old Jerusalem. We had two rooms w/views. When we booked we knew it would be long hot days touring and wanted to swim when we checked in. Upon check we were told that it was closed for a wedding but there was no advanced notice. We asked about the spa and were told it closed at 7pm. At 6 we called to ask them a question prior to heading down and we were told it was closed already. We then were told that part of our stay (as good members) was a bottle of wine and nibbles. They weren’t in the room so we called down to request them and were told they would be delivered to the room promptly. We waited for 1/2 hour and left for dinner. When we returned we went to the lounge for a nightcap. They said that they were closing shortly but would make us a drink. It took 1/2 hour for it to get to us. When we got to the room the wine and food had not been delivered. They came at 11 pm with the wine. I left a pair of brand new pants with the tags on in the room that I purchased that evening from a nearby store. Contacted them the next day and they couldn’t locate them. Spoke to a manager at checkout about the experience and how disappointed we were and were told We would be contacted. Received a call but couldn’t speak at that time and was told I would hear back the next day never did. Followed up several times and no one has yet to contact me. Wouldn’t return!

Great location. Amazing views. Excellent service at breakfast buffet which is impressive. Atta added his special touch in his personalized service at breakfast. Rooms are well appointed and nice in size. We walked to the old city and just soaked about Jerusalem so easily from this location. We look forward to returning.

Quand vous séjournez dans un hôtel 5 étoiles à un prix à la nuitée des plus chers de la ville vous attendez un certain service et une propreté irréprochable. Au David Citadelle, vous n’aurez ni l’un ni l’autre. Le service est inexistant à la piscine, au petit déjeuner ou pire encore au repas de Vendredi soir (pourtant à 150$ sans boisson). Lorsqu’on vous installe au petit déjeuner vous attendez 15 minutes qu’on vous dresse la table et qu’on vous la nettoie. Lorsqu’un enfant vomi à la piscine, que vous le signalez, on vous rigole au nez et le vomi reste toute la journée au bord de la piscine. Ce qui est terrible c’est que c’était ma première fois dans cet hôtel, mais des habitués m’ont confié qu’il ne retourneraient jamais dans cet hôtel malgré sa localisation. L’hotel semble laissé à l’abandon. Je pense que l’hôtel a conscience du niveau qu’il affiche car au Check-out personne n’ose vous demander comment ça s’est passé. We absolutely loved the David Citadel in Jerusalem! We highly recommend staying there because it’s the best location for shopping, restaurants and sightseeing. The staff went out of their way to spoil us, as it was our wedding anniversary, especially Sasha and Sonya. The breakfast each morning was superb, as was our room with a view of the swimming pool and the Old City.

The stay was terrible. The pictures on websites don’t correspond what actually provided. The rooms are dirty and badly maintained. When we arrived, the first room was provided and there was broken glass on floor that I injured my foot with. After we requested to switch room. Second room was very dirty as well. On top of that there was smell of peeing. That is the most disgusting stay. It definitely not 5 star hotel. Personal is very rude. Food was bad as well. I had orange juice with taste of soap, my husband had sandwich that tasted terribly.

A beautiful hotel in the heart of the city. I was allowed an early check-in and a late checkout. I was able to witness Shabbat and was in walking distance to all the beautiful treasures of our beautiful city.

Staff was very unwelcoming, and rude. They were not helpful and gave so much attitude. For the amount of times I stay there a year, I was shocked. Also, the "suite" we paid for, and stayed was horrible. There was so much noise coming from the halls, and there was not a clear view. I was not happy with this stay at all.
