The pool and the hot tub were closed during out stay and we were not notified. I booked the hotel mainly because of these amenities as my family was looking forward to using them. Very disappointing!

Dated hotel with a horrible pool and fitnescenter. Its just depressing and needs serious update. Pool is just not worth mentioning as it is in such a aged, uncared condition. Staff was very friendly though!!! You make up the place!!!

The lobby was very inviting and front desk peoe were excellent on check amd check out. The room was large, clean and well layed out. The pool area was dirty and difficult to find. The property did not have alot of parking.

Great hotel and perfect location , walking distance to restaurants and shops , Lobby was great and welcoming , the room was big but the bathroom was compact to say the least , also none of the USB outlets in the room worked , the pool and jacuzzi are outdoors as well .

Wifi on two separate visits was useless. Bathroom walls around the toilet were very dirty, tiny bathroom. They are now renovating so hopefully these things might improve. Staff were pleasant enough.

Overall our stay was good. Hotel was clean and updated. The lobby is beautiful and those warm cookies at check in are a real treat. Our suite was great. The wifi is terrible though so if thats important to you, you may want to book elsewhere. Service was not good either. We had to ask 3 times for more towels at our room. Our suite was for 6 and they only provided 4 towels. There were never towels at the pool either which was inconvenient and cold after a swim. It may be that they are short staffed but for the price, those things need to be taken care of. Its one of few hotels in kamloops that do not have a complimentary breakfast which is too bad. We loved being close to Riverside Park. The beds were fine, pull out couch was uncomfortable but they usually are. We would stay here again if we couldnt get into our top choices which is what happened this busy long weekend. It definitely wouldnt be a top choice though.

I liked that the rooms were spacious and comfortable and check in and check out was quick and easy. The coffee provided in the room was good. I didn't love that our room was behind the elevators so I heard them go up and down all night. While there was wi-fi included, it didn't work well for me. There isn't enough parking on site.

The hotel is nice but it’s overpriced compared to others in the area. The outdoor pool is nice but it’s a hassle to get to it, no umbrellas or tables. The rooms are also just too small. If it was less expensive it would be fine. For the price however I was expecting more. I actually ended up leaving as well and going to the sandman beacuse the beds where uncomfortable and the room too small with a child

Suit rooms are located very close to the ice-machines, no view at all, on the 3rd floor, the electricity cables pass right outside the window, almost at two arms’ length. The room has an old vibe but the bathroom definitely needs a renovation and is very small. The TV was big and new though. The breakfast did not provide a Hilton quality breakfast. There were no cheeses except for a cream cheese etc. I would strongly recommend the management team to go and visit the Double Trees in Europe. The cost should be half of what it is under current circumstances. The personnel on the other hand was very kind.

I generally find Doubletrees to be good hotels, and this one in Kamloops is no exception. Our room was a good size, quiet, and very clean. It had modern, updated decor and a mini-fridge. I found the bed (a queen) very comfortable, with a good mattress. The bathroom was all-in-one -- sink and counter inside, not outside in the room. The hotel is downtown, in a good location for walking around. It's a pretty short cab ride to the airport (under 20 minutes). Also, the front desk staff were pleasant, professional, and very helpful. We had a problem after checking out -- the cab we pre-booked to come at 4:15 a.m. to take us to the airport did not show up. The company would not send another. The overnight desk agent was right on it. He recommended and phoned another company, which came on a rush basis. He really helped us out. In short, a very nice hotel and great service. I would happily stay there again.

Staff were friendly, helpful and professional. Didn't realize they don't clean the rooms daily to replenish the towels. We were there for 3 days and had to ask for more towels as they only leave 3 per room. Guess I would like to see more proactive common sense - 2 people staying for 3 nights but only 3 large bath towels - at minimum 4 would be smarter.

The location is fine, easy access to anything downtown but like so many of our communities across this country the homeless hanging around even in the parking lot asking for handouts is annoying. We stayed in room 501 and there is an annoying drip or expansion/contraction of piping that just doesn't go away. Lasted all night. Breakfast in the restaurant was okay.

We had an excellent experience staying here during our short trip to Kamloops. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The hotel itself was superb in the facilities it offered. I will highly recommend this place to stay for anyone planning a trip to Kamloops. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Kamloops as it’s very convenient due to its central location from Downtown.

Renovation choices beautiful! Staff & workers went the extra mile to make us comfortable. Limited parking because of construction ( completed in 2 weeks) Restaurant was awful , slow, chipped dishes , poor service , 38 min for bad Eggs Benny. Very disappointed considering the beautiful hotel setting. Will return to hotel but restaurant , lots of great eateries in Kamloops.

Dining option was disappointing. Breakfast was burnt not over cooked straight up burnt. The room was spacious and clean but we were abruptly woken up to the elevator being fixed with no warning. I understand that the second elevator needs to be worked on but we were given no warning and were in the room right behind it On top of all of that we were still charged for parking at $14 a day

Amazing. The front desk staff was able to accommodate an early check in for me with my dog. I was there because my husband was having surgery and this reduced my stress immensely! Also, the food at the restaurant in the lobby, was amazing! The best salsa I have ever had!

Very comfortable and clean the only complaints was our dinner in the restaurant . The food was horrible. My dad are 1/4 of his rib dinner, the ribs weren’t good and the fries were disgusting. $12 for a big plate we maybe at 6. Service was great though. The lotion in the rooms is a little too fragrant and overpowering. Less scent is better.
