The location is perfect for us. Also the last two times we stayed, we were on ground floor, which is good for us as there are no lifts. When we checked out the first time the receptionist was happy to book us a similar room. We appreciated this. All in all very happy and would gladly recommend this hotel.

The hotel and staff were nice and the room was clean. I don’t think there was a lift/elevator on the property- if there was, I could not find it. So that was my only issue- I had a heavy bag I had to haul it up and down 2 flights of stairs.

Room was spacious and comfortable. Bed was excellent & Breakfast was good value. Close to CBD and shops and restaurants. Parking had narrow bays and is not the easiest to get in and out. Have to Rely on neighbours parking carefully. Location was quiet day and night. Good value.

Such an icon to Launceston! Neat, tidy ok for a night! But the rooms are a bit tired. Even though they're old, a few small updates can help to freshen things up. One of our bathrooms was very pokey, and difficult to move around. The toilet roll was out of reach too. The bedding and towels are crisp and white. Good heating, and good mini bar options. Kettle and tea/coffee in the room. Parking was tight. Looking forward to the finish of the new part being completed. Looking good so far! ...

The hotel itself was ok but the parking was very tight for larger cars.The staff were good. But at no time through the booking process was I informed that there was no elevator at the hotel and as we were put on the second floor this was very inconvenient and a problem as we had to carry our full size suitcases up two flights of stairs. Given that we aren't spring chickens this was a concern, although when i mentioned it to reception I just got a blank look. Not very impressed and wouldn't stay there again.

Basic accommodation which is fine for a night or 2 if you're in Launceston for work. The entire place is a bit dated and could use some sprucing up, breakfast is average at best and the rooms and hallways are not very clean. Great central location with plenty of off-street parking, not the best but far from the worst.

Friendly, lovely staff. Easy free parking. Every time someone in a room next to us flushed the toilet the noise rang through our room 110 like a train. Crazy. Shower noise also. Dental floss on toilet seat on arrival, not a good start. Are dinner at adjoing restaurant and was excellent. Bright light shone through gap above and below the door at night.

If you like to walk it's close to everything; however it's on a hill, and if you find inclines difficult that may be a problem. The room & bed were comfortable & room was relatively quiet. Staff were lovely, polite & helpful. Although the property is lovely in many respects it is looking a bit tired & slightly shabby. The buffet breakfast lets the venue down as well. Whilst we understand it can be difficult to manage quantities & demand, there wasn't much in the way of options for the full breakfast. Unfortunately most of the offerings were luke warm & either a bit dried out or spongy. We would recommend going to another venue for breakfast. Sorry, hate to give negative feedback, but in the interest of improvement I am.

I highly recommend the restaurant (3 Steps on George). The food was very good and the staff were even better. The room was clean and comfortable but just a touch ‘tired’. Also didn’t really like the lack of a lift meaning luggage up and down stairs. Overall though it was a good enough place to stay.
