From friendly reception staff to the bar and breakfast staff it was a great stay overall. Large hotel rooms with sofa bed, tea and coffee facilities with the bonus of water coolers and fresh milk on every floor for your stay really nice touch. Breakfast was as good with a full buffet selection and a few special items to order a la carte style. Beautiful hotel would recommend and stay again when in the area. Thank you all.

Stayed 1 night

A bit of a disappointment. We have stayed here many times before and were looking forward to our stay which we had booked with our club card vouchers. To use the vouchers we had to book through a third party site. On arrival we were made to feel like second class citizens by a receptionist who told us we would have to pay extra for the car park and the spa if we wanted to use it. We were told the car park would be refunded if we spent over £20 pp in the restaurant. This was a massive faff in the morning as we hadn’t taken a receipt so were sent back to the restaurant to look it up! We then found there were no robes or extra towels for use in the spa. The lovely staff at the spa apologised and said we should have but they were often missed by housekeeping. They said they didn’t have spares there and to ask at reception. The receptionist initially told us we couldn’t have them as we had booked through a third party (again!) and grudgingly got some when I said the spa had told us we should have had them, The spa was very busy and there weren’t any spare loungers or chairs but the was a separate room with daybeds in. We ate in the restaurant in the evening which was overpriced (£10 for 3 prawns which had been victims of shrinkflation! & £30 for a steak without any chips or sides and an extra £4,50 per sauce!) we also had 2 drinks - a glass of wine and a beer and the bill came to £117.. The breakfast in the morning was very good and they catered well for different tastes.

Stayed 2 nights

This was our second visit for our 29th Wedding Anniversary as the first time was fantastic from start to finish so we thought we would return. We booked a room with breakfast only to be told we hadn’t booked breakfast. Last time we were not charged to use the swimming pool and this time the receptionist charged us. When I told the receptionist we had booked breakfast she instantly dismissed it and said it wasn’t on her system. When we went to our room I searched and luckily had a booking receipt to show we had breakfast included. We then had to go back down to reception and asked for a refund as she charged us. The worst part of our 2 night stay was the room was not cleaned and didn’t have clean towels so apparently if you want your room cleaned you have to scan a QR code to let house keeping know you would like your room cleaned. It would have been nice to have been told this as we had to go back to reception to ask for some clean towels. It’s such a shame as our first stay was lovely and we honestly thought it would be just as lovely for our wedding anniversary.
