Poor service checking in with a new'ish member of staff. Airconditioning did not work in my room. My colleagues room safe locked with his laptop and iPad in it. No EV chargers functioning, despite being mentioned on the website. We were told that one has been out of action for three months and there was no probability of it being mended

We only stayed one night, it was nice. Family room was a good size although we found the double bed small as we are used to king size. Ok site parking which is a good size. Gym was good. The bar area which is the part of the main foyer was nice and the atmosphere was quite relaxed we did get there for 8/9pm. Check in was quick and easy as we had paid on Expedia. In the morning breakfast was very nice and I liked the poached eggs ready to go which is a first. My wife really enjoyed the breakfast. Lovely hotel and will definitely stay again if the need arises. It was a Friday night we stayed.

Nice modern clean property. Let down by slow room service and the food was cold on arrival. I don’t understand why there is a £7 charge for 12 hours parking for guests. Profiteering from car parking is unfair on guests who have paid for a room.

It was a nice experience staying at the Marriott. We booked 3 people in 2 rooms, and had an extra person on the day and Marriott did not mind adding the 2nd person onto the room. Did not to expect to pay for parking though

Room was dirty. Lots of hair in sink from previous guest. Sheet was stained and someone had wiped their nose on it. Staff was not very helpful in providing area information. Not up to usual Marriott standards.

Stayed one night whilst attending an event in the area. Nice spacious & clean room with decent toiletries, towels and bedding. Also had a decent breakfast spread too. Suited our needs well

Marriot centrally located near shopping centre. Easy to find coming off motorway. Good location and ample parking, charged per night for parking. Rooms are clean and have all the essential amenities. Thought there would be robes as this was advertised online. Great breakfast selection, cooked well and decent temperature. Overall an enjoyable stay, would return.

Overall OK but felt a bit unwelcome. The lobby was absolutely trashed at 1030pm with dirty dishes and glasses everywhere, they shut the bar, and although it looked like they were serving drinks, the look the bar tender gave us was enough for us not to ask. Shame as it was a long bank holiday weekend, and it would’ve been nice to relax. Room great, v clean and comfy. Thought the £4 parking charge was a cheek considering the location is out on a business park by the M1 - where else would we park ?!

We stayed for 3 nights in a family room. Close to a mall and couple of super markets. Room was good. One issue we noticed is that kettle was not cleaned properly, as boiled water had a vinegar taste.

Lovely room but a shame that the music from the xmas parties kept me from being able to sleep. I was on a training course all weekend so really needed to be able to rest. I did phone reception up, and they said a manager would be in touch. This never happened. I'm not sure if all the rooms in the hotel could hear the music until midnight. it was a shame I wasn't made aware of the party at time of booking or when I checked in. Bed pillows too soft for my liking. Plenty of parking.

Great check in friendly welcome. Room very clean but furniture and bathroom starting to look dated. Bed comfortable and room was quiet. Room felt quite cold and heating controls were antiquated. Toiletries lovely. In room hot drinks selection good. Leisure facilities good.

Time is not of the essence here. Our check in took ages with one member of staff really taking her time to check people in. There’s no value for guests time. If you need to call reception they simply don’t pick up and there’s always a queue. The whole hotel is dated dusty and the rooms were not clean. Bathrooms are stuffy with other guests toothpaste marks on the sink. Things like marks on the tea cups no water in the room etc really lets the property down. There are no sockets in the room only usb sockets near the bed which shows the age of the hotel. Breakfast was substandard greasy food aired breads and service was poor. Not at the usual standard of a Marriott and a real shame.

The air conditioner wasnt working and we had made a complaint and i went down to reception to inform them this wasn’t working and they said someone will look into it however this was forgotten about. I did this on two occasions and both times my request was ignored! This was so frustrating as the staff just didnt seem too bothered and their attention seemed diverted. The two nights were very uncomfortable as it was hot and stuffy without the air conditioner. We paid to experience a bad service by the seems of it. They didnt even offer to change the room as an alternative. We requested for a hair dryer however no one came with one which was very upsetting. I had a wedding to go to and couldnt dry my hair without a hair dryer. I had to leave with my hair wet and attend the wedding like that as i was tight for time. Which was very embarrassing but how many times does one ask! I thought Marriotts had a great reputation. The bed was very uncomfortable. We have been experiencing neck pains but i just didnt see any point in complaining as i felt unheard. I had also written to Expedia and had no reply within the time frame they had stated.

Air con is broken in many rooms, so you end up being moved and moved again until you find one that works. This might not be a problem in winter, but during summer it’s very hot in the rooms. Lack of staff, or slow staff mean that the phones aren’t answered quickly/at all. I was unable to get service/attention at the bar the whole time my food was being cooked and just gave up in the end. I had several problems with my stay this time, they had left winter weight duvets on the beds of the room they moved me into, also very hot. The room fridges aren’t fridges, they are coolers, so the food I left in there overnight was no good to eat in the morning. Just a terrible visit this time, I’d have been better off in a Travelodge.

Great stay, our usual choice of hotel when staying in Leicester. Great size of room, the only downside - shower over bath - non slip surface in bath needs to be extended so it covers the bottom of the bath or a notice that mentions you can get a non slip mat (mentioned on checkout that my husband had slipped whilst in the shower) Good breakfast, plenty of choice and good service from the staff. Great base to stay, near to road networks, retail park across the road, plenty of places to eat.

Hotel is really nice and well presented, staff polite and helpful. There is air con in the rooms - but it isn’t very effective - and coupled with the huge duvets - made for an uncomfortable night in the current hot weather. Windows do not open and the room was very stuffy and hot even with the aircon on its lowest setting. Sink was blocked and slow draining which we reported at the end of the stay so that it could be fixed.

Staff were great, but the pricing was horrific, £2 for a standard bag of walkers crisps & £18.50 for a self service buffet breakfast. Worst of all the TV didn’t work due to a server fault, we were told on check in, with an apology & a smile but nothing else!

There was a large wedding party ongoing when I arrived to check-in at c 11pm. Teenagers were running around the lobby and fighting, pulling cushions off chairs and throwing them across the lobby. It took me 30 minutes to get checked in at 11pm! The room was fine, if a little dusty. Breakfast was adequate. Parking is exorbitant for the location.

This was such an awful experience, this hotel should be shut down. The assistant manager Diana dealt with my complaint and I heard her put the phone down and not even listen. I was very polite and did not raise my voice so there was no need for this. There was a complete silence when I stopped talking and then I heard her pick the phone up, she mumbled I can't help you and hung up on me. Maybe she receives too many complaints but this is no excuse to treat a customer so badly, I am so shocked. I have now complained in writing too, but it is so badly run, I am not sure if anyone will help me. Do not stay here. There are so many other hotels in this area to choose and this hotel is one of the most awful hotels I have ever used.

I was here for business. It's a room and a place to eat. There is a shopping center across the street that you can drive or walk to, which helps, otherwise there is no that much in the area.

Lovely stay check in was quick receptionist was friendly . Room was clean modern and very spacious with a very comfortable bed and pillows ,we slept well as was was very quiet. We pre paid for breakfast as was cheaper it was good with plenty of choice .All the hotel staff were very attentive we were asked several times how we were doing and if they could help in any way .
