Hotel was your typical hotel, clean quiet. A few things that was average about the stay was 1. Indoor pool was ice cold 2. No free coffee in the lobby 3. Parking was $39.95 a night. (Parking across the street $7.00)

I've stayed at Doubletree Hotels in the past. That's what made me book here. First time in London. Check-in and valet staff were very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room is dated. Musty smell to it. Had to open window and circulate AC so we can sit in room. 2 queen beds seem small, felt more like doubles. Pool was also not well kept. Lots mildew around the tiles and grout. Water was cold. Whirlpool was too hot to even stay in more than 30 seconds. As for surrounding area. I didn't realize it was near a lot of homelessness (ie Salvation Army shelter). We didn't feel safe walking around.

Hotel was nice, if a little dated in areas. Some modernization would be beneficial, also some design elements (i.e our bathroom had 2 toilet paper holders, one attached the wall that was in use and one built into the sink cabinet that was not in use and just stuck out), we also had a large crack in the counter top in the bathroom. Over all, the room was clean, spacious and plenty of storage. We enjoyed the hot tub and gym facilities, however the pool was having an issue and was closed for part of our stay. It would be nice if there was free parking for guests, however the lot in front of the hotel was priced relatively well at $7 for 6pm- 6am parking.

Front desk staff was fantastic and location was excellent effect for rbc event. There was gum stuck to the bedside table and the bathroom could have been cleaned better. Train and a/c unit were very noisy.

The staff were very pleasant but the room wasn’t overly clean, especially the bathroom floor. The sink drain was also clogged and drained extremely slow. I would expect much more from a hotel that charges the price they do.

The room I had 1206 just smelled old and stale like the rug had not been cleaned. They offered to put me in another room on the same floor and that room also smelled stale and like the rug had not been cleaned so I decided to stay in the first room. However, by11 PM that night, the stench was so bad I called down to the front desk and asked them to send house keeping up. They sent someone up to spray in the room, and I was also able to crack the window a little bit and let some fresh air in. The last bad thing was the next day Saturday we went out in the morning and came back around 5 PM and housekeeping had not even come and cleaned the room. I went down to the front desk and the only reason the overall rating for this review has a 2 instead of a 1 is because the gentleman at the front desk named Ayoub was absolutely sensational in terms of his customer service skills. So he deserves a raise.

Even on the 12th floor I was kept awake during the night by nearby construction... It sounded like a snowplow blade scraping the road, but seeing it was August and the sound stayed constant I figured it must have been a road crew grating pavement or work going on at the demolition site by the railroad tracks. There was also an occasional "pop" and "bang" sound coming from what I think were pipes in the walls that only stopped about 5am. The room was nice apart from that, though the bathroom counter was the lowest I've ever seen. There was also no fan in the bathroom. The bed was amazing. The shower got hot instantly, which is always nice, and the shower controls were intuitive to use. The buffet breakfast gets top marks, though it was a little pricy. But I was very impressed with their pool and especially their hot tub that was perfectly hot. And of course all the staff were amazing, which is expected of DoubleTree. There is a valet service, but seeing how they will simply park your car right across the street, I'd skip it next time if I ever tried the London DoubleTree again.

We stayed in one of the new suite rooms with two beds and a separate living room and kitchen. It was spacious and clean. You could easily stay for weeks if you needed an extended stay. I will definitely ask for this room again the next time I am in the area.

We have stayed here many times over the years, first as a Hilton, now a Doubletree. The property badly needs a refurb. Everything is dated and needs replacement. The employees are all wonderful, but the physical plant is awful. Great location, but add a $39.95 daily parking fee and the hotel just isn’t worth it.

The wall is very thin, basically I can hear the entire conversation from the next room. I didn’t have a good sleep either, the water pipe and heat pipe keep making noises and woke me up several time at night. And parking is $24 for overnight, kinda pricey, was expecting something like $15 maximum only.

When we arrived at the hotel, we waited over an hour in line for check in. Once we got up to the front of the line we were told they did not have any rooms ready and that the room we booked wouldn't be ready for another hour so we then got put in a room with two queens instead of a king room. (Side note: we had just gotten married and were a couple staying there for a concert in town and not getting a large enough bed/room with one bed was extremely disappointing) Once we got into the room it smelled like cigarettes so I called down to front desk to get into our original room since they told us it would be an hour, only to be told that I would have to come back after the concert around 11pm because nothing will be ready until then. What is the point of booking rooms/staying at a hotel if you cant have them ready at check out time let alone almost the next day? I expressed to the front desk my frustrations at checkout and no one seemed to care. They told me because I booked on expedia there's nothing they could do for me (that's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard) I spent over $300 for one night stay and didn't even get to stay in the room I booked months and months ago. If you know that this is going to be one of the busiest days of the month/year why are you all scrambling? I know I wasn't the only one who was upset with their stay. I wish they had a better way of dealing with issues at hand instead of having a "it is what it is" demeanor. Extremely disappointed.

We booked 2 rooms on the same reservation. They had the rooms ok seperate reservations and wouldnt put the rooms together or even on the same floor. Defeated the purpose of going with friends. Also checking out, staff were clueless. And wouldnt give me a receipt

The service was prompt and staff were friendly. They had valet parking at about $39/day. Since they were just parking the car in a lot across the street, I think it would have been much better if they allocated us a spot and ability to park ourselves at a cheaper price. We had a nice clean room, very spacious with two bathrooms - one of which had hot water running only sometimes, for some reason. On my first night, I ordered Surf n' Turf from the onsite dining, Blake's. I asked for a medium rare steak but mine arrived so dry and overdone, it could have been burger meat from McDs without sauces to cover the mess. We thought this was a one-off since my husband's lamb stew was great but, the next day, we ordered breakfast and they forgot the fruit that was supposed to come with the meal. There were roads blocked for construction while we were there (we heard none from our room) but the area had some nice hidden gems within walkable distance: City Lights (excellent old bookstore), Attic Books (used books and curiosities), The Works Burger, Covent Garden Market.

We arrived after 9pm for our check in, rang the doorbell to get staff to let us in and it took a very long time to the point we thought we weren’t going to get in. Once inside the front desk had 3 people! Why was there such a delay? Our breakfast buffet was disappointing as the potatoes were dry and the scrambled eggs were overdone. The upside was the staff were nice and attentive for coffee.

About what you would expect from a large downtown 4-star hotel, nothing major to complain about but nothing to rave about either. Room was clean and modern, beds and pillows were comfortable. Restaurant food was so-so, although the Bloody Caesar was not good and I feel that’s a drink every restaurant should be able to get right if they just stop using the cheap mix. Our room package didn’t include parking ($16 I think, the small multilevel parkade is next door) or breakfast, which had both buffet and a la carte options. No continental breakfast so while we wanted to just grab a muffin or a yogurt to go for the kids (to tide them over as we had breakfast plans elsewhere a little later) unfortunately that wasn’t an option. Instead we had to buy each a buffet ($8 each) and ended up grabbing a few things just to get our $ worth. All in all a positive overall experience.

The hotel was convenient for the convention centre. Checking into the hotel was easy & staff were very friendly. The hotel restaurant had good variety of food for dinner & live entertainment when I was there. The rooms were spacious & comfortable. There was a choice of a buffet breakfast or a la carte. Only downside was parking was outside vs underground.

The only parking available if you don’t want to pay for Valet is the lot across the street where you have to wake up at 6 am to pay again. They don’t offer late check out anymore and the bartender in the hotel restaurant was horribly rude. Would never come back.

During my stay, I experienced severe food poisoning after consuming the hotel’s breakfast, which I believe was due to the poor food quality. Following this, I was unable to continue with the breakfast service. The hotel manager informed me that I would be refunded for the breakfast charges that I had paid extra for. However, the issue was much more severe than just a missed meal. I had to seek emergency medical attention, as the doctor confirmed that my abdominal pain was a serious health concern. I spent nearly 12 hours in the emergency ward, which completely ruined my stay and disrupted my plans.
