Great hotel from the room to the restaurant and gym, pool facilities! Will definitely be back!

Lovely facilities

I’ve stayed here 2-3 times for year for the last 4-5 years and have always had a good stay. However it was disappointing this time to find the pool closed for maintenance, and the bar area not serving food, meaning the only option was the more formal dining area which was fully booked. Appreciate there are events but that shouldn’t be at the expense of other paying guests. The updated areas are great, but it does highlight that the rooms and corridors to the rooms need some tic. There were poorly fixed walls in my room and the bathroom had spent drainage issues causing a bad smell.

My stay was great and the gym/pool facilities available for guests are excellent.

Self-check in was problematic although a member of staff was on hand to help. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Service was good in the bar and restaurant. The spa was nice, but very busy.

Check in was seamless, modern lovely Hotel, bar and outside area very good! Room however boiling hot, thin walls. Poor pool times for children! Asked in the morning if it was possible (only two people in the pool) if we could go in with our two year old to be told absolutely not before 10am. Anyone that has children know they wake well before that so 10am is a pointless time! Would be better off 7-10 not 10-12! Was a big let down! 3-5pm but was full of adults so morning time when it was so much quieter in there made more sense! Room was absolutely boiling and only one small fan on the hottest day of the year. Walls thin and didn’t sleep well with people walking up and down banging corridor. Room lovely and clean and a nice size for price though! Very modern hotel

This hotel is located on the Loughborough University Campus with free secure parking. We arrived a little early for Check In but was told we could use the Gym & Pool facilities whilst we waited for the room which was a nice touch. The pool area is nice but can get quite busy at times. It's nice to have both options of a Sauna + Steam Room. The room itself was lovely, having no air con wasn't a big deal and a fan was provided in the room. The room was spacious and the bed was very comforable. The bathroom could do with a bit of modernising but I'm sure that will come. The shower was powerful. Breakfast the following morning was fantastic with plenty of hot and cold options to suit everyone. I would stay here again.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and comfortable and the gym has a good selection of machines and weights. Only downside was the jacuzzi, not warm enough and jets only worked at one side so only good for two people. We didn't use the restaurant so can't comment.

It was good for parking, location for where I was goinf etc the only problem, which I don't like to complain about but it does need to get sorted is my bathroom drains had very bad smells coming out of them so closed door and opened window. I should have asked to move rooms though as it wasn't pleasant

An excellent stay in a clean, well appointed hotel with friendly and efficient service.

Was hoping for a better experience here but must have had the worst nights sleep on an overnight stay ever! Noisy doesn’t really sum up when you feel there are no walls between you and corridor, doors slamming through out the late evening/early morning. External noise and because there is no air conditioning (took it for granted all hotels have air con!) the window needed to be open because it was so warm. Room on first appearance was nice with a handy fridge. Iron and ironing board in the room always a good addition. Bathroom just had areas of wear and scruffiness. Bottom of the door wood all blown and pain missing, mould on the shower ceiling and hair in the shower before use. Shower quite slippery with the step up and down and could benefit from a notice advising guest to use the rubber shower matt. Breakfast lovely with a great amount of choice and staff attentive and helpful. Don’t think we will be back!

Really lovely stay, room was perfectly clean when we checked in. Staff on reception are lovely and friendly. Highly recommend staying here, it exceeds our expectations for sure

Reception lacked the personal touch with self check in. Hotel staff were friendly. Rooms fit for purpose, although we had to ask for another towel as there was only one, and more tea and milk. There was also a greasy hand print on the wall and dirty finger marks on the cutains ! We were woken at 6am each morning to office doors banging. Not peaceful at all. Treatment in the spa was devine, however the spa didnt have a relaxing feel. Restuarant food was AMAZING, bar was relaxing when not in private use by conference guests. Surrounding area and attractions was poor to disapointing. You need to drive everywhere. We only stayed for 2 nights and this in all honesty was long enough. Had it not been for the amazing food in the restaurant we would probably have left early.

Great location, could have been a little cleaner, cobwebs, grubby corners and skirting boards in bathroom

Had to move room initially as mould on the net curtain and all over the window and the lights were flickering constantly. The guy that first night seemed really stressed but was helpful and sorted a new room. But Second room, broken window it remained open and wouldn’t close and I was freezing! By the time it came to middle of the night. The bathroom had urine stain tiles around the base and the towel on the bed had stains. I didn’t bother moving room again as I was there for business x 2 nights and had no time as it was late when I realised the window wouldn’t close when I had moved room and went to go to bed. The second night there was no staff available to ask about the window. I was exhausted from work so just put up with the open window. When I went to check out the woman in the desk was very rude. I handed her my key she huffed and said uh fine I will take care of it’ I said I’m handing it to you because I want to let you know about room window. She huffed and said “fine I will sort it “ and that was it! Never going back again I will be staying elsewhere on the next business trip in this location!

Nice rooms and plenty of parking. Gym & Spa is good, but jacuzzi is luke warm. Very loud, can hear doors slamming all night, paper thin walls.

Outstanding - Staff and Restaurant Issues - the mattresses are very hard and they cover the mattresses in some sort of plastic - so every time you move you get woken up by the crinkling. Also, the room was very warm (Sept) and although they do put a fan in the room, there is no air conditioning.

Room 22 was just off the Main Street as they called it. It felt like I was sleeping in a City Centre street as it was extremely noisy with people not caring what time of day it was. Might have something to do with being on a University Campus? but still, I think maybe now they have done away with a reception/security staff there is possibly no one to ask people to be quiet. The doors are super heavy to help with sound! but they do not shut quietly, they slam! no matter how hard you try. Finally they bed is like sleeping on a plank!

Really nice room, but no air con. There was a fan but it was hot in the room. It wasn’t high summer either. Also the gate was closed on campus and our uber driver couldn’t get to the hotel without a campus tour at midnight. Apart from that the room was nice.

Staff are friendly and helpful. Room comfortable and clean but compact. There's everything you need but very little space as our room was set up as a twin bed not double. I cannot comment on the food as we didn't have any meals in the hotel but the freshly baked chocolate cookies on arrival were delicious. I would stay again and recommend it to family and friends.

First room was good, asked to moved due to neighbours playing loud music. This wasnt a problem. However new room was very loud seemed to be between noisey plant rooms. Not well thought out, plug sockets above head on bed.

Comfortable stay, though hotel room was too warm. As there is no A/C there was desk fan and thankfully we could also open windows slightly so slept fine. Quiet at night. Parking was a challenge to find a space on one of the days we stayed.

Our first stay at the hotel. Reception area on arrival was very comfortable & staff welcoming. The food in the restaurant was 1st class....amazing. All of the staff are very attentive, helpful & very friendly, taking the time to chat with the guests. Everywhere very clean .

Check in is a disaster. Trying to be modern with a self check in but either the machines don’t work or people find it confusing. Lack of staff apparent, particularly when we went for dinner. Young staff with no management, were in a panic as they couldn’t cope with the amount of guests. Effectively told they wouldn’t serve us at 7.45pm Venue is modern and comfortable. Rooms are fine. Bathrooms need attention. Doors showing signs of water ingress and lack of attention to cleaning. More staff and more management on duty would help.

I had a great stay at burleigh court. The new renovations where amazing a really beautiful interior, the rooms where modern and cookies on arrival reminded me like being back in New York. The reception team were really helpful and bubbly and we loved the pool and spa area. One fault we had was the service in the ‘fifty’ restaurant at first there was chocolate on a wine glass at our table so we asked to change them and the waitress responded “well your not having wine anyway” following this she was not tentative at all we sat for ages with an empty drink after every drink we had it was a challenge to get a new one. She had no interest in looking after us at all. It took 15 minutes after I asked for the desert menu to actually recieve it. In addition to that the same thing happened with the bill, after asking 15 minutes had passed the staff where all in the corner chatting when I had asked for the bill several minutes ago, I then had to ask again when the waitress I had been dealing with said wait a minute… I had alrwady been waiting a quarter of an hour. In total I was in the restaurant for 3 hours and had 3 drinks, if the waitress was more attentive I could’ve had at least 6! The bed was also a bit hard and pillows not comfortable. On the plus side the food that was served was outstanding and breakfast was amazing too. The waiters at breakfast were a breath of fresh air with good energy. Overall good stay apart from the restaurant experience.

The hotel itself was lovely, very clean and nice size rooms. Facilities were great and we didn’t need for anything. Check in was simple and on site parking was also a bonus. The only thing I can fault was the service in the restaurant and the bar restaurant, which is a shame as they are both beautiful. We ate in both places and the service was so slow. When the food did arrive it was nice but you don’t expect to wait over an hour when there is only one other table in the restaurant. It felt like the staff in the restaurants were not confident in what they were doing at all. I would stay there again but book somewhere else to eat.

Turning up at a ‘4 star’ hotel with staff in the reception area who didn’t greet us, carrying on their own conversations then just stood and said ‘checking in?, pointing at the iPads. We wasn’t fast enough so she was then a little condescending. This was our first let down. We were given our keycard with our room number on then told to go up the corridor and upstairs to find our room. We weren’t told about any amenities, wasn’t told about any treatments or how to book them. Considering this was why we came. Our room smelled of sewers, but with the frosty reception of the front staff it wasn’t even worth complaining as we felt like we’d be looked down on. We looked around the hotel to look for the swimming pool, spa area and restaurant ourself. Upon walking into the spa area we were greeted by a young chap who advised us of the pool, but then we enquired about treatments as we’d booked the ‘spa hotel’ to enjoy a bit of pampering, for him not to be forthcoming with any info and just said ‘come back and we’ll see what time spots we’ve got left’ it felt like closing time at the bar and last orders were going to be called and the staff were ready to go home, eye rolling and customers who walked in. This was at around 5pm. So we booked a table at a local pub. The code on the keycard was not the code for the exit barrier. It was printed on the barrier itself. (Car safety)We didn’t go in pool and didn’t have treatments we may as well have booked a premier inn!

The facility is excellent with modern rooms, great staff gym and steam availability. Will certainly go there again. My problem is that the entering the postcode into my satnav dumps you in a pedestrian- only access, the joining details are totally inadequate and we spent a lot of time on finding the access point. But that apart great value and great people. Just help us all get there!

Very well located on site of Loughborough University. Very comfy bed and quiet room. Spacious dining room and nice separate bar area

Massively convenient if the reason for your stay is needing to visit Loughborough university. And although it is on campus, you feel separate to the students and the hotel area seemed very quiet. Reception area lovely (as were the complimentary cookies on reception). Room great. Appreciate the small fridge which was well used. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom fine, though bath surround looked slightly dated, and some people may prefer a walk-in shower rather than a shower over bath. I’m guessing not all rooms have a bath in the en-suite though. Overall the stay was great.

We had a lovely 3 night stay, food and service were excellent. Staff were very friendly and could not help enough. Only small negative was the lack of aircon in the room, it was particularly warm and the fan provided just pushed the hot air around

A great location for visiting the university and all it has to offer. The restaurant was a highlight with some great food eaten across a couple nights stay.

It's in the Loughborough University campus. It's safe and clean. The award winning breakfast (extra charge of16 GBP/person) is really good.

The stay was great, ive deducted a point for a couple of reasons - the room was far too hot, there was a fan which helped but it was uncomfortable all the same. Also t bags only 1 in the room - technically 4 but as they were flavoured it was just 1 - loads of coffee but just 1 t bag. There is no choice for G/F option on the food menu and no way of finding out the gluten containing foods at breakfast no labelling, no sheets and no info at all online - there is loads of choice if your careful, smoked salmon, cured meats, youguurt, sone fruit. Bacon, eggs and broccoli but it would have been fab to know about the sausages, black pudding, breads, cereals etc Overall a really good stay comfortable bed and great pool!

The upgraded facilities are great. Breakfast is really good value, but if you are staying for more than a night or tried the dinner menu is somewhat limited. All staff very friendly and helpful.

The stay was overall excellent and I have only one complaint. During dinner my wife asked for the cheese board and specifically stated no blue cheese,in delivery, blue cheese appeared. When mentioned waiter stated she would inform the kitchen didn't even attempt to change the cheese or take it away. A little thing but not what I would expect from such an establishment.
