Loved the hand carved staircases and historical pieces in the hotel. Staff were lovely and efficient. Rooms were spacious and comfortable. It was like stepping back in time.

Wonderful 500 year old hotel with a great location and beautiful furnishings and public rooms. Buffet breakfast included. Summer is coming and this hotel has NO air conditioning and we had a problem with the shower changing temps as you shower.

The hotel is quite old and basic. It doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel. There was no air conditioning in the room. The electric fan provided was better than nothing but made no difference in the unbearably hot room during the summer heat. I could not wait to escape each morning. I slept poorly due to the heat and noise. On the few occasions where I was able to fall asleep, I was woken up at all hours of the early morning and throughout the night due to guests using the coffee machine right outside the room on the second floor. Putting a coffee machine here is quite inconsiderate to anyone who ends up in these rooms. The walls are thin which adds to the noise issue. When checking out I was asked how my stay was. I shared feedback concerning the heat and coffee machine. There was no apology and a complete lack of empathy. The staff need to be trained in handling constructive feedback especially as you asked for it. Next time I’ll pick a hotel that cares more about the comfort of their guests.

Great location and walkable to everything. Rooms are super cute! The architect in each common room on each floor is unique. They have a great place with a couple small tables for playing cards! We loved having a place to just play cards with family and not having to sit in our room after a busy day! The staff is super helpful for anything you need. Coffee is available 24/7 and breakfast is an up charge. They helped arrange a driver for us to the airport. We’d recommend and also stay here in the future if we return.

Hotel ist ganz nahe zu Bahnhof. Freundliche Personal und Empfang. Ich habe ein kleines Zimmer gehabt. Kein gute Aussicht hätte. Einrichtung war nicht gut für mich. Ein bisschen dunkel und nicht einladend. Das Bad und die besonders Badetücher sehr sauber, weiss uns sehr weich waren. Das hat mich sehr positiv überascht. Deswegen war ich zufrieden. Leider hat Zimmer kein Netz Empfang hätte. Das hat mich gestört. Ich fand das Früchstück nich gut genug für ein 4 Sterne Hotel. Ich habe ohne Früchstück gebucht. Ich wollte aber gern früchstück haben, wenn es mein erwartungen erfüllen sollte. Es ist schade.

Il personale dell'hotel è estremamente gentile e accogliente. Dal momento del check-in fino alla partenza, sono stati sempre disponibili e pronti ad aiutare con qualsiasi richiesta, dimostrando un'attenzione al cliente davvero notevole. Tuttavia, devo purtroppo evidenziare una serie di aspetti negativi che hanno compromesso significativamente il mio soggiorno. La struttura dell'hotel è molto vecchia e questo si riflette negativamente sul comfort generale. Le stanze sono incredibilmente rumorose, rendendo impossibile dormire di notte a causa dei continui rumori provenienti dall'esterno e dall'interno dell'edificio. Inoltre, manca l'aria condizionata, un problema serio soprattutto durante le calde notti estive. Le stanze singole sono estremamente piccole e scomode. L'arredamento è dominato da lampadari ingombranti che occupano spazio inutile, quando sarebbero bastate delle semplici lampade. Questo, insieme alla scarsa illuminazione, rende l'ambiente molto buio e poco accogliente. Un altro aspetto deludente è la pulizia. La struttura è trascurata e sporca, segno evid

The location was good and walkable. The hotel room is quite average and dated. It does have a nice charm but the bathroom and hotel itself could use some updates. Room wasn't as clean as it could have been, and the space wasn't efficiency used. Space was quite narrow around the room.

Friendly and professional staff, great location near the Jesuit Church and just a short walk to the train station. Room very nice though the bed was a bit too firm and pillows too soft. Bathroom clean and modern. Air conditioning unusual but it kept the room cool during the recent heatwave.

Nice large room very comfortable bed. Very nice well-maintained property with old world feel. The whole town is walkable from its central location.

In any possible way a superb place to stay!! The only thing you should think of, is bringing your earplugs as rhe walls are thin… I would defenitely go there again!!

However, for staying only one night - housekeeping checked on me once at 5pm the day i checked in when I was already resting and then x2 at around 8am and then again around 1030am today?? I couldnt also use the voucher to the restaurant as it is closed on Sunday - so would be unable to say how the food is. As I was only staying a night and had stayed at Hotel Schlussel before I thought id be getting an upgrade but - and Wildemanns standard room is way smaller and the beds are too soft and not comfortable. Stay for the convenience and charm - not the comfort.

If you want to stay in a historic hotel this is it. I really enjoyed the history, architecture, and decor. It's in a great location. My only complaint is that the bed seemed pretty old and it was really hard to adjust the heat so I kept the windows open.

Location was great. However poor for value for money. Breakfast for this standard hotel was poor , no attention to details , no customer care. I wouldn’t recommend the hotel

The hotel is located close to the river and the shopping area is across the bridge . Train station is also close, so very walkable to all the attractions , restaurants , public transportation. Our room was large and had a large terrace , facing a side street , so very quiet. Breskfast was very good , and the adjacent restaurant served authentic swiss dishes! It was a nice stay !
