Absolutely outstanding. A really welcome check-in from Mar, who upgraded us to a balcony lake view room. Free on site parking, as well as complimentary use of their pedalo and paddle boards to go out onto the lake. Lovely restaurant serving their own cuvée and overlooking the lake. The hotel is spotlessly clean, boasts about its eco credentials (even the key card is made from bamboo) and has a buzzing bar with a great atmosphere and lake view. Can’t wait to return!

This hotel was exceptional from the moment we arrived at the moment we left we felt welcome and very well looked after. Particularly Noah who was on Reception who really did look after us. You can book all of the Hotel activities via the app and these activities are included in the price of the stay is included stand-up paddle boarding pedals and bikes. This really enhanced our stay and made it very special especially as we are very conscious that Switzerland is expensive, so it was wonderful to have something that was included. The highlight of the Lake literally every single room you stay in has late view even our sons who stayed in the garden for Room had a pretty awesome late view. We stayed in a Lakeview room on the 5 th floor and 1st day the weather was amazing, seeing the sunlight hit the lake and the changes as sunsets. The following day it was slightly overcast to see the difference to Weather makes to this resort. We decided not to eat in the hotel for dinner. The 1st night we took a picnic to the local Lake by the Lido. 2nd night it was over cast so we walked to a restaurant called SeaHaus . They did a sharing meat platter with all you would like to eat side dishes. It was one of the most memorable meals we had during our 10 night stay . There is a small fridge / mini bar you can store small picnic items . The spa facilities in the hotel were very useful when the weather turned cooler . The only thing the opening hours were rather odd compared -from 3 pm

The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful, and their English was perfect. They helped us make transit plans for going to Mount Rigi, and they made many calls for us when we were trying to locate my lost sunglasses. They were very friendly and nice and amazing! For a hotel at this price point, the breakfast was just good but not extraordinary - they had all of the things you would expect, but not more. The mini bar was not free. The restaurant options were very limited during the day, and the beach bar was closed for the full day one of the days we were there. The spa was minimal, but clean, and there were very few spa appointments available, only in the morning and for one person at a time. Also, it's a bit far out of town, so you have to take the 24 bus everywhere, which only comes every 12 minutes.

The hotel advertises as a Spa but they had no spa services available to book, nor would they bring in anyone to provide them. we had to go to another hotel. The price was very high for the value. The staff was great. The beds were the best we found in Switzerland. The room was beautiful.

My family (2 adults, 2 kids under 6) had a wonderful time at Hermitage. We now kind of regret not staying longer. The staff are wonderful, greeting guests with excitement. May it be in the front desk or the restaurant for breakfast. The views are breathtaking from our room. The sauna, beach club, free bike rentals, pedal boat etc, are cherry on top. Overall had a great stay and would recommend!

The staff of the hotel are too young and not experienced. The reception staff changes almost every other day. It is not good for the guests, who look for stability and home feelings. The cleaning staff are not experienced too and throw away my expensive and important tooth bracket when cleaning.

Room wasn’t clean when we got there. Switched rooms and next room was also dirty. Bed sheets weren’t changed, hair all over the room. Really disgusting. Would not recommend.

This hotel was lovely! We were so exhausted upon arrival bc we had been traveling quite a bit (with two little kiddos) and the staff was SO nice! The views are amazing, the rooms are clean and big and so comfortable. We ate one time in the bar area and the food and drinks were great, too. The staff was so nice to us and our kids which just made the whole experience even better. I also sent out laundry one day and it came back same day. Clean and neatly folded - I was very impressed. Thank you! We’ll be back!

Séjour à Lucerne pour nos 20 ans de mariage. Un peu déçus par la chambre, la vue directe sur le lac était tronquée. Au premier étage (mais correspond à un rez-de-chaussée), la chambre donne directement sur le jardin/plage de l'hôtel, on est en vitrine, pas d'intimité, pas de rideau léger, seulement des rideaux occultants. On voit bien de l'eau, mais on n'a pas cette vue lac qu i est vantée sur le site. Par contre la possibilité de se baigner au lac depuis le jardin est fantastique! L'accueil est minimaliste. Il faut réclamer les informations (possibilité de guestcard, comment ça se passe pour le parking, quelles sont les installations spa/piscine, etc...) Pas de salutations lorsque l'on passe devant le personnel d'accueil hors check-in/check-out. Nous avons dû payer la totalité du séjour dès notre arrivée. Nous avons voulu mettre le souper sur la note de la chambre, le serveur ne nous a pas trouvés. Nous rêvions de faire un séjour dans cet établissement, mais expérience faite nous avons trouvé que le rapport qualité/prix n'en valait pas la peine.

We received a lovely friendly welcome. In fact we found all members of staff were friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is ideally situated beside the lake with a convenient bus stop outside the hotel to/from Lucerne running approx every c.15 minutes. Alternatively, a pleasant walk along the lake into Lucerne takes c.30 minutes. We stayed in the new part of the hotel which is 'very modern' in it's approach to accommodation with everything open plan. Food is of a high standard with a well stocked bar, comfortable seating areas both within and outside. There is also a Beach Bar for drinks and snacks with the use of pedalo's etc. We will return

Pro: Balcony room was one of the best I’ve even been to, spacious, clean, and amazing view. Good location, close to the city, yet also in the edge of it where it quiet and peaceful. Con: Required 100 CHF per night deposit, which was not mention on their Expedia page and they promised to update their Expedia page. The hotel offer some excellent lake services (private boat, pedal boat) which was not mentioned, we even asked to different employees at the reception but they were not able to offer what they have, one of the receptionist went to actually look for private boats services from the city instead of offering they have at hotel, we ended up accidentally learning about what they have and asked for it. The hotel can do a lot more by making their guests aware of the special services they already have. Also, one before out check-in we coordinated with the hotel and got a confirmation for a room on the 2nd floor, but upon arrival we got the room on the second floor instead. P.S. the hotel is composed of two building (old and new) our room category was in the new building, which seemed to be better.

Very underwhelming and it’s advertised much better than it actually is. During our 4 night stay they hosted 1 wedding, a birthday party and 2 corporate events. During this time we couldn’t use a lot of the facilities - so don’t think you’ll be getting access to the beach club whenever you want, or other amenities for that matter. Unfortunately it was the service that was the worst part. The beach club waiter was flat out rude and the reception/ management did nothing after our complaints - they really don’t care. We left with a pretty ill feeling towards the hotel which wasn’t what we expected when paying £600 a night. Really not worth the price tag - just avoid!

You may revisit your policy with the property as they seem to treat your members differently. When we requested for a better view room not upgrade they told us you booked through Expedia which is the cheapest room and that’s not a great customer service. They helped nothing with the local sight seeing tours or guides to connect with local sightseeing. Overall not recommended for tourists who are looking for a better stay and experience.

This resort is absolutely beautiful, and all the employees here were attentive, kind, and helpful. This was our first time in Switzerland, we will definitely be staying here when we go back!

Amazing views of the lake & alps from our room.One issue upon arrival we had to kill at least 10 mosquitoes.There were 2 large glass doors overlooking the lake and wanted to open them but didn’t want more bugs. We called the front desk and they immediately brought us a plug in bug deterrent. We opened the doors periodically.The staff were very respondent to our needs/questions. Obviously it wasn’t the hotel’s fault for the bugs, just a suggestion to have the cleaning staff take notice.There were several different menus depending on where you chose to eat. We opted for the restaurant for dinner. There was a possible miscommunication.My husband had gone down to see if they were still serving dinner while I was at the lounge.They were and would set up a specific table. He said he had to run upstairs to get his wife.We went down immediately and sat at the table.No one acknowledged us and after at least 10-15 minutes I got up and took 2 menus to the table. We sat and waited and not once did any staff even look at us. We got up and left. We voiced our complaint to the front desk and were told that we had to be seated by staff. We opted to eat from the bar menu.I wanted an appetizer from the restaurant menu & the staff went out of their way to get it for me.We were comped our first round and the bartender, Lars was very attentive and a lot of fun.The couple of items we ate were very good.the other issue was getting coffee at the buffet bkfst.We asked several times but never got it

awesome stay overall. only thing i would say is the staff is not well informed on the swiss travel pass information. the boat that stops at the hotel is covered by swiss travel pass however on arrival the staff told us it’s not covered causing us inconvenience.

Hermitage is beautiful setting right on the lake Lucerne. Very pretty and close to the train station for all site seeing take offs. Not to far from city and not too close with too much hustle. We had a great stay ! Family of 4 😊

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt im Hermitage Lake Luzern! Die Lage des Hotels ist traumhaft, und ein Zimmer mit Seeblick lohnt sich absolut – die Aussicht war einfach atemberaubend. Besonders praktisch fanden wir die Möglichkeit, dank der Tourismussteuern kostenlos den Bus zu nutzen. Die Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür haben wir oft genutzt, was unseren Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht hat. Das Frühstück war lecker, und wir haben es wirklich genossen. Eine größere Auswahl an Gemüse hätte es perfekt gemacht. Insgesamt gab es nichts, was uns negativ aufgefallen wäre. Wenn wir wieder nach Luzern kommen, wählen wir das Hermitage ganz sicher wieder – mit unserer Hündin natürlich! Wir können dieses Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen.

Located right on Lake Luzern with gorgeous views of the mountains and the city. Despite not being in the city, very easy to get to by bus, which came every 15 minutes. There was no need to rent a car or take a taxi (which are expensive in Luzern). Hotel staff very friendly, especially Mar who helped us with the check in. She had a great energy and made us feel very welcomed. Our room was spacious for 4 people (2 adults 2 kids) with a spectacular view of the lake. I would love to come back in the summer to take advantage of the beach and the water activities. Unfortunately it was still too cold but nonetheless we enjoyed our time at the Hermitage.

Nice hotel, beautifully located by the lake. Must be amazing in the warmer months but we were there on rainy spring days so we didn't really benefit from the surroundings.

We loved it here! It was the perfect spot to enjoy all that Lake Lucerne has to offer, with beautiful lake access and close enough to enjoy the energy and sights of the city. We didnt realize until half way through our stay we could ride the #24 bus for free (included with hotel reservation) into town and to the transportation museum. Definitely make sure you ask for the print out. The rooms are lovely, the food in the restaurant is DELICIOUS, especially the dinner. Everyone who worked there was so kind. There is even a trail to visit a beautiful non-touristy castle that has an adorable little cafe- must visit! They will tell you the way. Make dinner reservations for around 8 so you can watch the sunset! Gorgeous!

The setting is fantastic. The rooms were spotless and the service was good. The breakfast was way overpriced (35 CHF per person so very mediocre food) as were the drinks (95 CHF for four drinks). I guess that was to be expected but it left a bad taste in our mouths.

Fantastic stay, in a beautiful location with easy transport links. Room was perfect with an amazing lake view. Lovely food and service in the bar area, but had some issues with dining room in main restaurant, this was addressed effectively at reception. Overall a fantastic stay.

We absolutely LOVED our stay at the Hermitage. The staff is wonderful, especially Mar who has given us such a warm welcome. On check in, we were accommodated to a rather late dinner reservation with the last call for the restaurant despite our late check in. The room is just wonderful; comfortable, clean, has everything you need and a huge plus: Spectacular views of lake Luzern and the mountains. The Hermitage restaurant has a Michelin star, the food was stellar and the bar was amazing. The staff has been professional, welcoming, and extremely helpful, exemplifying the epitome of a perfect guest experience. Thank you to everyone at Hotel Hermitage.
