One of the best experiences we've had in Madrid. The staff was very nice (particularly Yana, who went out of her way to make sure our family was comfortable). Nice size rooms if you get a 1 bedroom, with plenty of space and amenities. Food was excellent at the Red Level lounge. Would definitely go back again.

The hotel, a Leading Hotels of the World member, is well located, next to Margaret Thatcher Plaza. We booked a Red Level Deluxe room which included Club Room access and separate check-in on the 7th floor. Room had an entry hallway and bath with door separating the bedroom; it seemed small and cramped. The bed was very comfortable. The RedLevel Club Room offered complimentary buffet or a la carte breakfast till 10 AM and snack buffet starting at 13:30 every day, with standard Spanish style offerings. Premium spirits are freely poured, including Moët Chandon champagne; service is excellent. The Club Room is unexceptional, joining space with Aduana, a limited-menu restaurant; there is access to two uninspiring outdoor terraces, one for smokers. Hotel lobby, adjoining bar (Balmoral) and terrace offer old-world luxury. The other restaurant in the hotel, Zuma, offers Japanese gastronomic fare. Restaurant prices are astronomic, and we avoided them. Note: only some rooms of this category have walk-in showers, in the event a shower-over-tub doesn’t suit, you must specify.

Hotel is great - rooms are ample, bathrooms a little strange but functional, great location in Madrid. We had a 2 bedroom suite (red level) which suited our family of four perfectly. Red level lounge is really nice, however it lacks in environment (but plenty of drinks and food). Personnel at red level lounge is super sweet. The breakfast however is very lacking for a 5 star hotel, very simple offerings. They could do much better comparing to other hotels we stayed in our vacation in Spain. Lots of courtesy food sent to our room daily, it was a very appreciated, sweet gesture that shows how hospitable this hotel is.

We just have the most amazing experience at the Felix Gran Meliá, the instant we arrived were greeted very friendly and caring. We had an overnight flight and went to the hotel to leave the luggage, instead had the lovely surprise that the rooms were ready and could leave our stuff and get settle for the day-something we really appreciated! The buffet breakfast had a great selection, the space is gorgeous, comfortable and the service it’s EXCELLENT. Every single staff person were extremely helpful and welcoming, suggestions for activities, places to visit, timing, they offered help with reservations. A nice token is that the hotel has a car for guest services, it was available that night and it gave us a ride to the restaurant we made reservations that evening. Location is unbeatable!, in a very safe location, 7 minutes walking distance to Alcalá door, terrazas for dinner, 10 minutes from the Prado museum and 15-20 puerta del sol. Definitely a place to stay!!! And we are really hoping to come back very soon!

Location was perfect, Conditions perfect But it was late August and the temperature was in the low 90. There is no air conditioning!!! So you need to sleep with the windows open. The noise from the street stops at 5:45am. Then it starts at 8:30am. If you are a youngster book it you don’t need to rest!!! If you need 5-7 hours of sleep every night don’t book it. We booked it for three nights. The first night we couldn’t sleep because of the noise on the streets. Second night we slept better because we went to bed at 5:00am. Third night we gave up and went to bed 10:00pm. It was a rough noisy night. The place is perfect if you do not need your night sleep!! I guess in the colder season you can close the windows and there would be no street noise. It would be the perfect place if the windows are closed!!

Very attentive staff. Valet parking! Friendly check in. Beautiful property. Nice bar area. Close walking to many things. No coffee in room. Only option for breakfast was buffet.

My husband and I stayed at Hotel Fénix this October and honestly it was amazing. From the moment we arrived they treated us wonderfully and we felt super comfortable. I have to especially mention Santiago, Antonio and Jean Paul because they were incredible. Always attentive, super friendly and willing to help us with anything. They truly made a difference in our stay. The hotel is great, the rooms very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect for getting around Madrid and exploring the city. Breakfast was also very good. In summary, if you’re looking for a good hotel in Madrid with excellent service, Hotel Fénix is a great option. We were delighted and will definitely return. Totally recommended.

I paid for a 322sq ft premium room but was given a closet sized tiny tiny room. The second day when I complained I was moved to a larger room which should have been allocated at check-in. There was no apology and the change was arranged after a lenghty argument.

Servicio excelente, hotel reformado pero la habitación superior la encontré pequeña para dos personas. El baño minúsculo no cabían dos personas , la cama en esta categoría de hotel y habitación podría haber sido extra grande. El desayuno excelente. En general salvando el tamaño de la habitación , el hotel está muy bien.

A very nice old hotel with a lot of charm, but missing some of the modern conveniences. (stand alone shower, USB ports, etc.) Perfect location for shopping and dining in one of Madrid nicest neighborhood. Generous size and elegant room, but with a small bathroom.

Amazing hotel! We had a family trip and reunion with extended family and not only it is very family friendly but the attention to detail was superb. We were spoiled by the staff on a daily basis. Cannot say enough good things about this hotel, would certainly be back!

Doormen were wonderful but the praises stop there, from the moment we arrived we were bombarded with up charges and to book tours, only later to find out that when we did ask them to book a train ticket we were charged double the price, when we confronted the front desk, they said they were obligated to use travel agency, but the unforgivable sin to me was when a bartender added 5 euro extra tip to a one cocktail bill after I signed the check.

I stayed for 9 nights. There was not a day where I was not impressed by the staff amazing customer service. Very nice staff, very friendly. The doorman, the bellman, receptionists, waitress and waiters, housekeepers..... the food is great!! Cocktails are delicious, refreshing, the whole stay was an extraordinary experience!!!!

The hotel is nicely situated in the Salamanca district, , shopping is just around the corner, there are nice restaurants close by,very elegant area to walk around,well recommended to stay in this hotel. Breakfast is not excepitional and pricy for what they serve.

Já fiquei nesse hotel a uns 8 anos atrás. Tinha gostado, mas não amado. Mas dessa vez tive uma ótima surpresa. Estava remodelado e o café da manhã, está espetacular. O que antes era o hard rock café agora é o Zuma, ótimo restaurante oriental! A localização é perfeita!!! O atendimento impecável!! Parabéns, é um prazer um hotel assim

My trip was with my Mother and our accommodations were perfect for our vacation. The concierge was a tremendous help in purchasing tickets and cabs for our excursions. Breakfast was buffet style with scrambled eggs, fried eggs and boiled. A good selection of cheese , meats , fruits , cereals, yogurt and breads. Wonderful cappuccino and black coffee. Juices and champagne! I would choose this location for a future trip due to closeness to metro, bus and cabs. Excellent shopping all around the area .
