Petit Palace Arturo Soria Alcalá

I had an excellent stay and experience at the Petit Palace. It's not the most accessible hotel to find when driving solo in a strange city at night. For example, it could do with more signs showing the car park entrance. But once I'd convinced myself I was in the right place, I found the staff were friendly and helpful and my check-in was quick. The room was a great size, very large bed, and everything was spotlessly clean. The towels were nice quality, and there were 2 cartons of water free in the room, with a kettle and various teas. Mini bar prices for soft drinks were reasonable. The water cartons were fully recyclable materials with plant-based bioplastics. That's a nice touch. My only 2 minor issues were;- The room temperature was too warm and changing the settings to reduce room temperature didn't seem to do anything. This is March, so this is a heating issue rather than an air conditioning/ summer temperature problem. And not having some instant coffee available in the room was disappointing in the morning. Breakfast was good, the staff helpful, and the general manager introduced himself which again is a nice personable touch. I was also able to walk a very short distance to get dinner at a local bar/restaurant. The cost of my stay was similarly priced compared to the other city hotels I considered, and given the good standard and pleasant experience, I would say it was good value. If I have to return to Madrid I would happily stay here again.

Staff very friendly, Elena was very helpful accommodating one last minute request. The property was clean and offers free beverage all day long. I stayed in a quintuple room, it had a good size and the same applies for the bathroom. Toiletries, including toothbrush/toothpaste were available.

Excellent breakfast, super close to airport, easy/ free parking, great for a family.

El desayuno incluía productos frescos, y había café y agua las 24 horas. Y aunque no había servicio de comida o cena, el servicio con Telepizza fue excelente. La habitación se mantenía muy bien aunque había un desconchón en la ducha. Y hemos podido disfrutar de nuestra mascota. ¡Muchas gracias a todo el personal por el recibimiento!

El hotel está que de cae. El papel pintado de la habitación está despegado. Un halógeno colgando. No siento que esté en un hotel de la cadena PP en ningún sitio.

Clean facility and friendly staff

Bed was very comfy, with very comfy pillows. Breakfast was very good. Bathroom and the room in general was very clean. Housekeeping was good.

Excellent friendly service. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly. The hotel is clean and the rooms were kept tidy. Breakfast was generous. The hotel is a bit far away from the city center, but easily reachable with metro from the hotel. Several restaurants, bars and shopping options in the area.

Hotel muito bom , distante do centro histórico mas com metro a 100 metros te leva para todos os pontos , café da manhã muito bom ( variedades de queijo , pães , frutas , sucos etc , quarto pequeno para 3 pessoas , mas muito limpo , cama boa , de forma que recomendo sim este hotel , sobre os espetáculos de flamenco não vá no bermerras ( indicação do hotel ) o show é pessimo ,

Excelente hotel, la. Habitación bastante amplia y silenciosa, a unos cuantos pasos del metro, llegas en un momento al centro, excelente ubicación si vas a las ventas

El checkin es a las 2:00 pm, sin embargo, en cuanto llegamos al hotel, a eso de las 12:00 pm, ya estaba lista y nos permitieron entrar. El personal de recepción es muy amable. El desayuno fue excelente. Productos de calidad, una amplia cantidad de alimentos, ¡un gran plus!. Éramos mis tres hijos y yo y la habitación fue perfecta para los 4 (3 adultos y un joven). Descansas bien. Nos quedamos seis noches y sin lugar a dudas ¡volveríamos a este hotel!

When I arrived to the room it was clean but the tv wasn't working. The cabinet door for the refrigerator was loose as it was missing a screw. They fixed quickly the tv but never the cabinet door. I also had problems when I arrived early in the morning as I thought I could sleep in the sofa for a couple of hours before checkin opened in the lobby but it was very difficult as the sofa were uncomfortable. I had previously spoken to reception the day before in the night about when I would arrive as my flight got delayed to try to see if I could have a room only to sleep for a couple of hours before check in and they gave me a price of $198 and when I checked online it was for $134. When I tried to buy the booking online I couldn't complete it as my flight took off and there was no internet. The room I found online was a family room. I explained my situation to the front desk when I arrived and they charged me 2 rooms as they said there was no family room available at extremely high price of around $244 just to sleep for a couple of hours the same day I had a booking that I would check in at 2pm as we arrived at 4am. After talking a long time with the manager he discounted around $20. I don't think it was fair that they charged so much for rooms that I only used for a couple of hours after explaining my situation and showing them the price I found online. When they gave us the room it was 2 twin beds together which was uncomfortable in the morning to sleep as they would separate.

AC on 3rd floor room barely worked; other than that staff and hotel was very good.

I loved the breakfast they serve every morning. They have lots of fruits and an extensive yogurt bar. My only complaint is the bedroom size for 4 people. There is only 1 king size bed, the other bed is a pullout couch, which takes away a lot of walking space when being used.

Estancia muy agradable! Unico hotel que encontramos con una habitación quíntuple y el desayuno muy bueno y variado. Cerca de la parada del metro, por lo que está muy bien comunicado. Entorno tranquilo.

El desayuno fue excelente. Productos de calidad, una amplia cantidad de alimentos, ¡un gran plus!. Éramos mis tres hijos y yo y la habitación fue perfecta para los 4 (3 adultos y un joven). Descansas bien. Nos quedamos seis noches y sin lugar a dudas ¡volveríamos a este hotel!

Just stayed one night, but we walked to the metro station 2 minutes away and went to Plaza Mayor and Gran Via. It includes breakfast buffet.

Very good location, Air conditionning works perfectly (i was there on business trip when the outside temperature was 38°C)

I loved the breakfast they serve every morning. They have lots of fruits and an extensive yogurt bar. My only complaint is the bedroom size for 4 people. There is only 1 king size bed, the other bed is a pullout couch, which takes away a lot of walking space when being used.
