The room was great, very clean. The beds were very comfortable. Great location, very close to a metro station, 6-7 minutes walk from Plaza Espana, next to many restaurants. The poll is small, not like in the picture, and you have to make a reservation in order to get in, the order is for only 45 minutes.

We recommend booking a level room - it was an excellent facility and the staff there were wonderful. The tapas was excellent, as was the drinks. The room was nice with a beautiful view of the city and the air con was great. The pool set up was a bit weird with the reservations and mandatory caps (even if a man has no hair!) and was a bit of a let down for all that fuss - confusion over lockers, very little ambience, not amazing spa-like facilities. It’s really handy for public transport. everything else about our experience here was great - it’s very close to lovely squares for an evening drink in Malasaña.

This is NOT a 5 star hotel. More like a 3 star for lobby and 1.5 star for the rooms, pool and gym. All I do is stay in 5 Star hotels and this place is junk. The room is super old. The shower is terrible. Functions like a shower from the 50’s. The facility pictures are a scam. The pool is in the basement. Super small and makes you feel trapped. And on top of all that you need to call to make an appointment to use it!! You can’t even pay me to use it. The gym is worse than a prison gym. Super small in the basement. Hot and humid. No windows. It’s a death chamber. I can’t believe they think this is a 5 star. They don’t even deserve a 3 star. Oh yeah and the internet is 1MB download and upload useless. Can hardly check email let alone have business zoom calls. PLUS the hallways and rooms smell like MOLD! This hotel is a SCAM and should be ashamed of themselves! UPDATE: They called trying to upgrade me to another room that was just as bad but bigger. Mold scent everywhere. My throat hurts. My clothes smell like mold. I haven’t slept. Completely trash!

Booked this hotel as it had an indoor pool. Upon check-in (Level) we were introduced to all the facilities, including the pool. We went to the pool in the early evening just to learn that you need to pre-book a slot. Unfortunately there was no availability during our stay as they could only accommodate 8 persons and they preferred non guests that pay for the entrance. . There was no information on this during booking or check-in. A big disappointment!

The hotel itself was lovely. The breakfast and snacks as per of the Level package were really good. There was a power and water cut int he night on the second day which no one was informed of. We were on the 12th floor with no lift so highly dangerous. The next morning at breakfast there was a horrific driving from the works outside on the hotel, the whole way through breakfast which was poor. If I had known there were works going on, I may not have booked. Nothing was said in the communications with the hotel before. I found out on arrival after I had gotten lost finding the hotel as it’s under scaffolding at the entrance!

The spa was really disappointing, the opening times really are poor for customer availability, 11am on Saturday and 12 on Sundays, making them nearly unusable during a short stay in a city like Madrid which is a tourist hotspot for sightseeing. Spas are always available between 6-9am, a great way to start the day before tackling the city. Unfortunately this wasn’t an option. The middle elevator had a concerning noise of loose chains whenever it moved up and down, and felt scary to use (we avoided it). It felt the overall hotel needed more touching up as many areas where paints was marked and chipped, and stains on carpets. However the room was the biggest problem. At a 5 star hotel, in one of the largest brands in Spain, it left little to be desired. The standards felt far below the rating advertised and what a premium 5 star hotel room should be. The room had plenty of marks and dirty areas which can been seen in the pictures below, as well as broken and damaged furniture. The iron water jug had a hole, wood painted, dirty windows, screws on the window seal, unfinished cladding, damaged posts, dirt and stains on walls and floor, and utter lack of attention to details. We had water glasses the first day, which were removed after the first day and not replaced leaving us without glasses to use. There were no bathroom vanity things such as cotton buds, nail files etc, and a number of damages to the bath and towel holders.

The staff were incredible. They were thoughtful and helpful . While the property has exterior construction, the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was incredible. It was a great location able to amble right into the excitement of central Madrid.

Very professional and friendly staff, the hotel was super clean, quiet and very convenient for our stay. There were some construction and repairs on the surrounding but we were able to enjoy the place. I will love staying in the future.

I stayed in room 604 and there was mould on the wall close to the window, there’s no essential (like a mini self-care in the toilet) I had to purchase a big toothpaste) I was in need of a charger and at the reception they told me where I could go buy one but they didn’t have one, as a customer everywhere I go I like to feel like at home, or at least as if I’m staying at a family members, the text that I wasn’t even offered the pool ( when I check in nobody mention anything about the pool) just the breaksfast and if I wanted to upgrade my room, the WiFi didn’t work, the first time I’ve asked they told me to keep trying and second (the receptionist had to lock in with her own details)

We have a room that has a large supporting beam in the middle of the room, obstructing We were not informed of this before and it didn’t show on any of the pictures. We were told that this is the case for all family rooms.

The hotel is fantastic! It’s located just a block away from metro station, the bed it’s very comfortable with many pillows options, rooms are not huge but good size and very elegant and super clean, the staff is super attentive, knowledgeable and friendly I would definitely stay here again

This is a nice hotel but if you are used to 5 stars, lower your expectations Our room - which we paid through the roof - did not have a coffee maker - pretty standard nowadays. They said only in better rooms we could get it, in the meantime they had “Nescafé” for us to make with a kettle. When we insisted, the provided with a Nespresso type of machine, with absolutely terrible undrinkable coffee … cups remained dirty in the room throughout our stay. We asked for recommendations for NYE dinner, the worst dinner we had in Madrid in a very “casual” full of greasy smoke place. Tells me they don’t really know their guests. When checking out, at 7.30 am we wanted to grab a decent coffee to take with us. We couldn’t because bar was closed, breakfast was only buffet so you needed to pay in full and apparently too complicated to grab a coffee for your guests from the area that belongs to business class sort of rooms, which was located next to reception….. 0 Overall nice staff and pretty place. Very well located but apart from the price definitely not a 5 stars

Rooms are nicer than the RIU but do NOT have USB ports. Security is not as good as the RIU because someone can go to any floor with the room cards in the Melia and this cannot be done in the RIU. Breakfast is 25 times better in the RIU with much more choice and many buffets available

The staff were incredible. They were thoughtful and helpful . While the property has exterior construction, the rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable. The breakfast spread was incredible. It was a great location able to amble right into the excitement of central Madrid.

The staff was great! Paloma, who greeted the guests for breakfast was specifically wonderful. She was always patient, friendly and pleasant. The bar and restaurant were also great. The room was as advertised on Orbitz. Walking distance to the metro, bus, train and good restaurants. I recommend Meliá Madrid Princesa.

Very professional and friendly staff, the hotel was super clean, quiet and very convenient for our stay. There were some construction and repairs on the surrounding but we were able to enjoy the place. I will love staying in the future.

I stayed in room 604 and there was mould on the wall close to the window, there’s no essential (like a mini self-care in the toilet) I had to purchase a big toothpaste) I was in need of a charger and at the reception they told me where I could go buy one but they didn’t have one, as a customer everywhere I go I like to feel like at home, or at least as if I’m staying at a family members, the text that I wasn’t even offered the pool ( when I check in nobody mention anything about the pool) just the breaksfast and if I wanted to upgrade my room, the WiFi didn’t work, the first time I’ve asked they told me to keep trying and second (the receptionist had to lock in with her own details)

We traveled from United States and our plane arrived in the morning. Even though the check in time was at 3 pm, Raul checked us in in the morning and we could go to our room and had a rest before we started touring the city. Raul at the reception was very helpful, friendly and welcoming. He patiently answered and found solutions to our questions. I highly recommend this hotel. It js conveniently located close to many touristic attractions

The location was great and the lobby with bar was very nice however my room on the second floor faced princess a street and was quite loud. The room service menu was overpriced and the food was mediocre. My burger was so undercooked as to be inedible. The pool is in a windowless room and halfway through my stay staff told me using the pool required reservations. Later on when my parents checked in to the hotel and asked about making reservations for the pool they were told reservations were not required. In general the staff were rude and unprofessional except for the bartender in the lobby. All other staff acted as if guests were a major inconvenience.

This was our second visit to this hotel. We stay in one of The Level rooms and find this well worth the slightly extra cost. There are food/snacks and drinks, including beer and wine, available in The Level lounge free of charge from 1pm daily. The staff are friendly and very helpful.

Great Hotel for a reasonable price. A little dated but the price reflects that. Service from front desk , the bar to the very pleasant maids was exemplary. Stayed many times in Madrid easily my favorite hotel now here . Walking distance to everything , metros and bus right outside and the Casa De Liria (Duquesa Del Albas spectacular villa )right in front.

The hotel is fantastic! It’s located just a block away from metro station, the bed it’s very comfortable with many pillows options, rooms are not huge but good size and very elegant and super clean, the staff is super attentive, knowledgeable and friendly I would definitely stay here again

The hotel itself was lovely. The breakfast and snacks as per of the Level package were really good. There was a power and water cut int he night on the second day which no one was informed of. We were on the 12th floor with no lift so highly dangerous. The next morning at breakfast there was a horrific driving from the works outside on the hotel, the whole way through breakfast which was poor. If I had known there were works going on, I may not have booked. Nothing was said in the communications with the hotel before. I found out on arrival after I had gotten lost finding the hotel as it’s under scaffolding at the entrance!

O hotel é ótimo, bem localizado, dá para fazer tudo a pé. Quarto muito bom, e algumas cortesias. Ótimo café da manhã, com apenas duas ressalvas: quase não variam ao longo dos dias, e o café americano e o leite precisam de uma térmica, pois ficam frios! Para uma brasileira, isso é triste.

We’ve stayed before. We enjoy the location and the staff. They have a LEVEL area we purchased which is nice for relaxing and having snacks. They provided a special area for watching the World Cup games, which was very nice. They seem to be forever doing some kind of facade work, which was going on last year too. This hotel is well located to the El Corte Inglés, restaurants, like Beata Pasta. You can’t go wrong!
